Sphere over Bolton, CT
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
We both went outside for a cigarette after dinner and observed what we thought may have been a satellite or possibly the space station, but noting that the color of the object was a more orange/reddish hue. It was small in the sky, but larger than any stars, thinking it may have been an aircraft, it went in a straight line for around 15 seconds, then seemed to completely change course and do a 45 degree turn then disappear. Male 40 y.o., Delivery driver. Female 39 y.o., IT.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #113834). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
