As reported

Sphere over Seattle (lower Queen Ann area), WA

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

I came upon 5 gentlemen on first ave in Seattle looking at something, they claimed they were UFOs. I watched the 5-6 spherical lights move up and down, left and right, into each other (seemingly) or over each other and then separate again. What was most interesting was the synchronized disappearance. In a jagged line, they vanished one by one. The one on the left moved down slightly for less than a second, then disappeared in mid air. The one just to the right of that one did the same. And so on and so forth in a pattern until all were gone. This sighting occurred on the border of Belltown and Lower Queen Anne, and these yellow glowing objects appeared to be above upper Queen Anne or past it. It was quite remarkable. We spoke via telephone with the witness, and he sounded to us to be sincere and sober-minded. We suspect that he is a skilled observer. PD

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #113080). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
