My father, my two brothers and I were leaving my uncles house after visiting a new edition to the family. When we walked outside, I looked into the sky thinking there was a bunch of stars out but the lights I saw were flashing and gliding in a downward motion. They were 3 flashing lights in one area, another on the far left and another in the far right all gliding through the air. The 3 in the middle were making a shape of an upside down triangle and they kept gliding towards the ground until they left our sight .

We noticed the craft immediately because it was something neither of us have seen (we live near several airports) The irregular object was heading upwards to the sky and appeared as if it was spinning. The strangest part was that there were two lines of either smoke or fire coming out of the craft. We lost it when it went behind a cloud. Almost immediately after a giant aircraft looking plane passed the ufos line of motion. [NUFORC annotation: Aircraft - Probable]

Family (two adults in their mid 40s and two children ages 13 and 11) in backyard. We all observed a bright red, spherical light moving vertically (upward) in the sky overhead. Observed the red light for approximately 45 seconds until it abruptly vanished. There is a fair amount of air traffic in the area (notwithstanding COVID) as we are close to JFK International Airport, however, we have never observed an aircraft “disappear” as abruptly and without traveling across the horizon as air traffic typically does. There was no sound. The sky was partly cloudy, however, we were able to observe all air other traffic through the clouds as they traversed the sky.

I was outside watering the lawn and saw a reddish light in the eastern sky, moving from south to north. It was silent and it moved more slowly than a plane. As it reached an area to the north, it changed direction and moved to the northwest and disappeared. We are college educated mature homeowners and have lived on Long Island our whole lives.
