The report, as filed

Sitting west of Cuenca, 40 miles away over Cahas National Park mountains @ 14,000 ft. Red & White lights, 2 large + 13+ small following, moving erraticly from north to south. Lost site w/ night cloud cover moving in from the east. This is direction of airliners approach to Cuencia airport, these planes are large and fly low over house from where we viewed this sitting. We live @ this location 2 1/2 years. This is our 1st sighting in Cuenca.

I observed this object for at least 20 minutes. I videoed it with my phone and was able to zoom in and still track it although the object moved erratically however staying within the same general area. Myself and 3 other individuals observed it. I was able to get a closer look using high powered binoculars and observed the object as being round in shape with what appeared to be spikes all over the outside which looked similar to ice cycles in shape. The spikes were emitting all different colors which appeared random. My background is information tech.
