Sphere over Boise/Idaho Falls (between; Hwy 22), ID
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
We were driving between Boise, Idaho, and Montana, in an area that they use to use as a military range for guns and bombs. The sun was just starting to come up and I seen in the distance this floating circle thing in the sky but was to low to be a star or airplane, and I thought well I am heading towards it and see what it is. I came around a curve and it seemed to stay close then go around another curve, and then it was far away, then close again, and as I got closer to town, it got higher and higher, but I do have picture of it from my cell phone. Now, where I first saw this hovering above ground, there was bright lights on the ground, and when I came back thru the same area the next day, there was nothing there except lots of lava rock. I do have the exact hwy number as well written down and can show on map where it happened. Hwy 20 in the Idaho Nate Engineering Lab, U. S. Dept. of Energy.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #110151). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.
Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
