Two passenger aircraft were flying the same route at different elevations. The one headed over Nashville Airport to the Northwest had a small ball or round object following it, then as the higher aircraft approached the point of crossing the path of the plane headed NW, the ball stopped and went west some small distance off the contrails and waited for the plane headed southeast to pass, then after it had passed what appeared a small distance beyond the round object the round object went back to the contrail and approached the back of the plane headed southeast and followed it very close until it faded in the distance beyond visual site.

My 3 roommates and I were on our back deck having conversation when this occurred. 2 male 2 female. I work as an IT professional, my roommates work in sales and social media management. Respectable jobs, no criminal background, healthy skeptics. We have never seen anything like this where we live. During the pass of about 30 sterling satellites (which were moving west to east) 3 separate bright orange lights appeared about 5 minutes apart. They moved very fast going north to south and east to west respectively. They each appeared for approximately 3-4 seconds at a distance of about 60 degrees. They appeared quickly fading into bright orange lights and fading out into the sky with no trace, or trail. No nature sounds at all, the owls, crickets, and cicadas even stopped.

I was about to fall asleep around 4am when I saw a light through the blinds of my window. I have a natural curiosity about UFOs, so I got up and took a closer look. It was hard to tell what I was looking at. It looked very similar to a star, but it wasn't flashing how a sta would through our atmosphere. I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out exactly what it was. I was convinced it was moving, but thought I was just tired and maybe I was just seeing things. I started to block the object using frames of the window, and realized it slowly but definitely was moving back into my vision. I did this multiple times. I opened my window so I had a full view, and went back to my bed to watch this object. For the next hour or so, the object very slowly moved back and forth. It changed direction quite a few times, but it never went very far. I could judge its position by where it was in relation to my window frames. At one point, it got close enough for me to see there were multiple lights to it. I cant confirm the shape, but I was leaning towards a triangle or boomerang type object. Towards the end of my sighting, the object started to move upwards and become smaller and more distant. At this point, the sun was beginning to rise and it was the only object visible in the sky other than the moon. All of the stars I had seen prior were no longer visible. This object had to have been very bright, and very big. At this point I had to get back up to watch it, as the object had completely left my view of the window. I got up to watch it and realized it had become a speck. I couldn't believe how astonishingly high it got. This way way too high to be a plane or a drone, and satellites don't maneuver the way this object did. At times it was completely still, but became more active towards the middle and end of my sighting. Second Object: At this point its about 5:40 A.M. The first object was extremely high, just a little dot. I then noticed a second craft MUCH lower in my vision. I had mistaken it for a cloud at first, but it was an object darting across the sky leaving a small trail. It was travelling at an awkward angle, and I could not notice any lights on this one. There was quite a bit of natural light in the sky at this point. I took a video of this one. The other object was too distant to show up on my camera. The craft was only in my vision for about 10 seconds, and left no visible trail after it left my field of view. The object I had originally seen was somehow still visible, extremely high up there. About 5 minutes later, it was either gone, or there was too much natural light to observe it further. We believe the first possibility to be ruled out would be a star in the morning sky. However, we cannot be certain. PD

I would like to preface by saying that my girlfriend and I live five minutes from the International airport in Nashville, TN. We are both smokers, but do not smoke in our apartment, so when we smoke, we go out on our back porch. We see airplanes constantly. We know what they look like, we know the speed they travel in the sky and the direction they fly. This was not a plane. I have also seen many shooting stars and have personally launched many Chinese lanterns. What we saw, were not either of these things. I stepped out to smoke a cigarette around 8:30 pm on Saturday night October 18, 2014. I saw a light coming towards me which caused me to pause because planes do not come north to south towards me. I watched the light and noticed it almost appeared a solid orange- reddish color and appeared about the altitude of a plane, but was completely different from a plane. I sat there in almost shock as it went over my apartment. I snapped back to reality and ran in to tell my girlfriend to come outside and look as I knew we could see it out the front door. She quickly came out it as it was going out of sight. The strange thing is that we could see it, but the orange- reddish light had dimmed to where you could see it, but could not tell its actual shape. Here is the amazing part..... I looked to my right and saw two more coming. I showed my girlfriend and we both watched as they approached. They flew close together with the same orange- reddish light, at the same speed a! s the first, and in the same direction. We watched as the objects lights dimmed and went out of sight. I tried to film the last two with my cell phone, but got no satisfying results. I do not know what these objects were, but I can say a few things..... They traveled too fast to be planes. They flew in a completely different direction than the many planes we see every night. The lights were different than any plane we have ever seen. The objects were not shooting stars or Chinese lanterns. I am hoping we were not the only people to see these lights. On last thing to mention.... as I stated before, we see planes all the time. After these objects went by and at least an hour afterwards, we did not see any planes in the sky. Thank you and I hope this will help.... My girlfriend wanted to add that the lights on all three dimmed at about the same point in the sky and these objects made no sound.
