As my wife and I were traveling east on ca hwy299 we noticed 4 round orange/red objects in the sky then all of a sudden 2 of them moved

Facing northeast and caught a glimpse of a flash of light to the west. A couple minutes later i caught a glimpse of another flash of light in the south. The night was clear with no clouds that could produce lightning. I didn't see any object or craft.
