Le 26 août 2012 vers 0h40 un témoin observe et prend en photo un phénomène lumineux dans le ciel qui l'intrigue : plusieurs dizaines d'objets de couleurs rouge, non clignotant, se déplacent sans bruit selon une trajectoire N-S. Tous se suivent à une distance régulière et à vitesse constante. L'observation dure environ 5 minutes. La description du témoin fait immédiatement penser à des lanternes thaïlandaises : passage horizontal de boules rouges, par groupe, sans bruit. Le vent soufflait de Nord à 23h, puis de Nord-Est à 0h, ce qui est compatible avec le déplacement Nord-Sud observé.
