Le 22 aout 2012 en soirée, des témoins depuis leur terrasse observnt un point très lumineux se déplaçant dans le ciel. L'objet part de façon étrange à toute vitesse dans le ciel. Il venait de l'Ouest et a disparu vers l'Est. Le site Calsky indique un passage de la station spatiale internationale (ISS), extrêmement brillante, visible de Brue-Auriac de 22h11à l'ouest à 22h17 au Sud-Est (voir ci-joint). L'aspect de l'ISS est conforme au récit des témoins. Sa disparition en plein ciel correspond à son entrée dans l'ombre de la Terre. Le GEIPAN classe ce cas "A" : observation de l'ISS.
