I was about to sleep. Because my apartment is on high floor (28th) it is common to see planes flying. When I noticed this object, my first thought was that it is a star. But then I realized that it was cloudy, and this was quite big for a star. Also there were no stars on the sky (since it was cloudy.) I wasn’t going to give it much attention but then I noticed that this object had slight movement (perhaps rotation) without changing its position. I do not know how long it was there but it was long because I fell asleep. At the next day I noticed a similar object at around 10pm. [NUFORC annotation: Planet/Star - Probable]

I often see airplanes in the sky out my window (close to major NYC airports), and I know what they look like. I was in bed looking out my window tonight when I noticed 3-4 small orange lights spanning the sky. I initially thought it was just airplanes in formation, but they kept coming from the lefthand side of my window (some from high up, some from lower), much closer in succession than airplanes should be. At one point, two even appeared to merge (or get close to it). I have lived here for a while and never seen anything like this. I took a video in which at least two actual airplanes are captured amongst these lights, and they stand in stark contrast. There is more than one blinking light, I can see the shape of the airplane silhouetted, and they follow a clear, straight, predictable path. These lights kept appearing for at least five or more minutes, gradually either blinking out or going too far away to see, and then stopped coming as quickly as they appeared. So strange! Went outside for a short walk which I usually do around the same time each night, looked up and at about 1 O'clock position in the night sky clear as can be was an lit object with bright blinking lites that went from clear bright white to a ruby red color (but mostly white). I was able to use my phone to video it but the video does not do it justice in it's appearance, it was much clearer seeing it live. The thing that impressed me most was it's ability to be so still in the sky like it was just pinned up there in the sky pretty amazing. And when it did move it did so in that typical UFO zig zag motion. I called some news agencies but none of them took it serious enough I suppose but I also posted the video using my brothers youtube account. I used his account for a few reasons but the main one was because earlier that day (God's honest truth) I had visited his grave sight he passed in 2017. My wife and I were looking at the large full moon as we stepped outside our home around twilight. To the left of the moon, I saw a stationary red light in the sky. It reminded me of the red lights one may see on top of a tall antenna. I thought it may be a plane, but it did not move for an extended period. That's when I brought it to the attention of my wife. Shortly thereafter, the light dropped down in a rapid vertical descent. It remained visible. It paused a little and then rose vertically. The light also moved horizontally once or twice. Overall, it would move, remain still, and then move again. Lost sight of it after about five minutes as I tried unsucessfully to find the source of the light by driving toward the light. Since this occurred in a city, I was never able to find the light.

Very high in the south eastern sky - very far above where airplanes fly - an airplane happened to fly by at the same time - 3 orange glowing rings, not much larger than stars, but large enough for me to see them and determine that they were circular in shape, were seen by me just as I glanced up at the sky. They were in a straight line; I could not tell if they were touching each other or not. Nevertheless, they were in very close proximity to each other. The line was straight but at about 30 degrees. After several seconds had passed, they took off in 3 streaks of orange moving upwards at a 45 degree angle and then disappeared. We spoke via telephone with the witness, and she sounded to us to be quite serious-minded. We suspect that she is an excellent, and reliable, witness. PD
