I was stopped at a red light when a light appears in the sky that made me look up. I then looked up and saw 2 lights. One light to the right and one light to the left. The lights moved rapidly across the sky and went behind a cloud. I know this because I saw the cloud light up. But then the lights disappeared and didn’t reappear.

I was out on the night of July 7th at about 9:35pm to check and make sure the garage door was closed. I have a 91 year old father that I take care of and sometimes he leaves the garage door open. We do not have a door from inside the house to inside the garage. I usually look up at sky and look for Ursa Major and Minor and Polaris. I saw something hovering above the neighbor’s trees but was not directly above the trees. I’m not sure how far away it was nor the height in the night sky. If I had to guess it could have been anywhere from ¼ of a mile to ½ a mile in the sky from my perspective. The sun set in Salt Lake at 9:01pm so it was dark on the East side of the Salt Lake valley. The moon was in the western sky at about 45° above the Oquirrh mtns. The object changed colors from green to red about every 2 sec. and remained in the sky at the same location and never moved or drifted. I watched it for about 2 minutes or so. It was a very bright color change and larger looking than that of a planes wing or belly lights. At first I thought it may have been a drone but I thought at such a late hour would probably not be a good time to be flying since the sky was so dark. I went back inside got my phone (Samsung S8+) and shot a video (20220707_21406.mp4) just over 1 min. long. The object was still in the same spot and had not moved. I was leaning against the side of the garage to stabilize my arm and phone. The video was taken in portrait mode so when you play it, the object will be on the left side of the video. If you rotate it 90° to the right you will get how I recorded it. I went back inside and got my Canon Rebel T3i and put my zoom lens on it. The zoom lens is an EFS 55-250mm w/image stabilization and MACRO 1.1m/3.6ft. Just a standard zoom lens. I haven’t used this camera for a couple of years so I needed to re-familiarize myself with the camera. One of the two pictures show movement but that is because I had not stabilized myself using the side of the garage and you can see the trees that are out of focus just below the object. I took two pictures (IMG_2965.jpg, IMG_2967.jpg) and 2 movies (MVI_2966 and MVI_2968). MVI_2966 is about 46 sec. long. MVI_2968 was about 6 sec. long. I did not upload it. I went back inside so I could see the options on the lens to make sure that both the AF (auto focus) and Stabilizer switches were both on. I went back outside and the object was gone. I live on a corner with a 4-way stop I walked back to my porch when I heard my neighbor (whom lives diagonally from me on the other corner) had just gotten out of their car. I turned to see that the mother and one of the daughters had walked into the street and the daughter was pointing to the same area of the sky. I could not hear what she was saying but she moved her arm in a direction from left to right, as she did this I did hear her make a sound like “whoosh” as if to indicate that whatever was in the sky moved very fast in that direction. I was going to call to them but by the time I got to the end of my driveway they were already back on theirs and heading for their front door. Picture (20220708_143221a.jpg) was taken today July 8th from the same spot looking towards the sky. The trees in the picture are the same ones that are in the other pictures. The object was above the larger tree behind the pine. I put a circle to indicate approximate location.

I saw 6 orange-yellow lights in 2 rows of 3 go form east to west right above my house. There was no sound at all

It caught my attention and I continued watching as the "star" moved down onto the cliffs and seemed to traverse slowly across the cliff. Then, another appeared and moved in a different direction, both moving slowly like headlamps of hikers may move. The cliffs are shear and could not be accessed without climbing gear, and the lights were too big to be headlamps at that distance.

Two bright, white lights were seen in formation, and possibly exiting Earth's atmosphere, late Au. 2nd over the Salt Lake Valley.
