Le 28 aout 2011 vers 0h35 un automobiliste et sa femme constatent dans le ciel le déplacement NNO-E silencieux de points oranges. Les témoins distingueront ensuite 7 triangles qui semblent équilatéraux et qui possèdent tous une forme arrondie à l'intérieur de l'un des sommets. L'observation dure une minute environ avant que le phénomène ne disparaisse en diminuant rapidement plein Est. La description du phénomène (objets en nombre, couleur, vitesse) correspond tout à fait à des lanternes thaïlandaises. La date et l'heure (nuit de samedi à dimanche), la direction du vent d'Ouest renforce cette hypothèse. [GEIPAN classification B — Lanterne thai]
