Le 19 août 2010 à 22h05 un couple observe durant 30 secondes environ le lent et silencieux déplacement d'une boule orange de très grande taille dans le ciel. Un seul témoignage a été recueilli. Cette observation d'une boule orange se déplaçant à l'horizontale dans le ciel évoque une lanterne thaïlandaise. Mais comme le témoin n'a pas fourni le film de la vidéo qu'il a pris, qu'il n'indique pas la direction du déplacement, le GEIPAN n' a pas pu faire de vérification concernant cette hypothèse.
