En fermant les volets de sa maison à 18h15, un témoin observe le passage d'une grosse lueur orange et jaune venant du S-E. Durant l'observation qui dure une minute aucun bruit n'est entendu. Cette lueur se dirige ensuite vers le Nord et disparaît de sa vue. Suite à l'enquête de gendarmerie, le témoin identifiera formellement la photo du PAN comme étant un ballon lumineux de type lanterne thaïlandaise. [GEIPAN classification A — Lanterne thai]
