Le 17 mars 2009 vers 20h10 un témoin observe le déplacement EST/NORD-EST de deux disques lumineux blancs qui semblent reliés par une masse. Le jour, à l'heure de l'observation, la navette spatiale était en phase d'approche de la Station Spatiale Internationale (ISS). Le témoignage est cohérent avec l'observation de cet "attelage".
