Le 4 mai 2008 vers 22h45 un automobiliste observe durant 5 minutes une dizaine de boules lumineuses orangées immobiles dans le ciel. Aucun bruit particulier n'est entendu. Malgré le peu d'information donné par le témoin concernant ce phénomène, il est probable que cette personne ait fait une observation de lanternes volantes. En effet, il y a eu de nombreuses observations de ce type faites entre mai et juillet 2008 dans l'Est de la France. [GEIPAN classification B — Lanterne thai]
