3:40 am, looking west northwest notice intermittent bright white on object at aporoximately 10,000 ft altitude ( we constantly get a lot of Ohare airport traffic overhead here in the Chicagoland area and become a pretty good judge of plane altitudes having seen them in all phases of approach and take off all my life and have flown extensively myself to Europe and Asia and Pacific) moving from west to east in a path that would've taken it right over the south portion of Ohare airport field. Silent with intermittent on/off bright white light that would move from side to side of object during off period. No port or starboard red or green lights, no under belly red light either. I could not discern a shape only intetmittent foreward facing very bright intermittent White light shifting from side side as it moved across the sky in about one minute or less time. If it was military it had no red or green lights but was being obvious about its presence - strange that it was not constant white light but instead on/off ftom side to side.

Was with my son in back yard, I looked up and noticed a very clear cylinder shaped object with looked like 5 white lights. I kept eyes on it and called my son to me, he was in a tree in yard shooting targets with bb gun. He came to me and asked "what" he could tell by tone of my voice it was something serious. I said "what's that" and pointed to object, he looked and his eyes got big, jaw dropped and said "wtf is that" I said something like I just wanted to make sure I was seeing what I was seeing. I asked him to tell me what he saw, to confirm to me what I was seeing. He said to hurry and take a picture, but didn't have phone on me and didn't want to miss at least seeing it for longer. After watching it for a minute, the object and a cloud next to it seemed to fade before our eyes not take off flying in any direction, which was also very weird. It was still light out and sky was perfectly clear and blue in area once object "faded" away, my son asked "how did it do that" like I would know. I been searching for a report of same thing before I said anything, when seen report from person in Elgin describing same thing but no lights I used that date, I know it was 1st week of Dec., was wanting to just confirm someone else's report. Being in a Chicago suburb and being very obvious in sky, I thought there would be many reports of this object. It had to be pretty big, there were a handful of planes that could be seen in both easterly and western sky and from my observation this cylinder was much bigger. Hopefully this helps someone else seeing same thing.....

Six Circular shaped objects of various colors. Some multi colored green and red, some white, one solid red. Appeared in the sky moving west to east over Downers Grove, Il. Moving fast but silently. Appx. 20:58. First white one appeared alone followed momentarily by four others of various colors in a sort of triangular pattern and maybe minute and a half later by last solid white one. Best guess altitude appx. 20/30 thousand feet. Hard to tell at night.

My boyfriend and I were outside after cooking out. Some neighbors down the street were doing fireworks. After they finished, I looked in the other direction and noticed a large orange fiery orb moving towards us. I grabbed my boyfriend and said, "uhhhh, what is THAT?!" we both stood there watching. This orange ball of light, which looked fiery, was coming from the west of the sky. It moved slowly, made NO SOUND, and hovered through the sky. It came in our direction, and then made a sudden complete 90 degree turn, heading north. It was hovering slowly, silently, and then literally zipped out of sight like lightning. The entire event was less than three minutes. It was too high in the atmosphere to be residual fireworks; and nobody was doing any fireworks at the exact time this happened. It absolutely was NOT AN AIRPLANE. we stood there, completely dumbfounded.

Two bright lights in sky that almost hit then turned and went in various directions at high rate of speed.
