It looked pretty much like the fireball that was seen over San Diego at 10pm on the same night. They said it was a meteor but two in the same night? In two different places? At two different times? Didn't look particularly alien to me but what do I know about aliens. I've also seen triangular formations of triangular ships high in the night sky back in the early 2000's.

I first saw one then two then three and they appeared to interact with each other. It was too high to give a shape. The best I can say is a speck. I thought at first they were high flying snow geese because they were white. But then I did not see them flapping their wings so that wasn’t it and they couldn’t be gliding. So a few minutes later I started seeing lights underneath to which you could only see a bright light and no longer the white speck. Another person saw more behind me and she counted 12. I saw 3 to 4 at best. How high mid altitude below 5K feet. They were not moving like an aircraft or helicopter or jet or bird or balloon. I launched my drone and flew up to 400 ft AGL and scrolled my gimbal to 30 degrees high and hit the record button. I then rotated in place a few times not knowing if I got anything. Upon review I did not see the white specks nor the bright lights but it was either my strobe light under the belly that was reflecting off of t! he atmosphere or I was just under the objects and I was picking up a peripheral burst of lights as I rotated underneath them. Took the trash out and looked to the west and saw an amber/orange object in the sky. Thought it might be Mars or Mercury due to the color. The object started to move in a west to northwest direction so I knew it wasn't a planet. I then paid closer attention and saw a larger circle of light below and a smaller light on top. You could see a black area (I think it could have been the night sky as that's what it looked like) between the two amber/orange lights. The object was silent. The night was clear and there was no cloud cover. I immediately tried to find a witness and when I returned the object was gone. Went hiking up in the Rademacher Trail to watch the Perseid Meteor shower. As your eyes adjust to the dark, there was ONE cloud in the sky. Black. It started having what looked like heat lightning and my friend was like ((two words deleted)) do you see that? Is that something to do with your base? (I worked at China Lake Naval Air Weapons Station in the Mojave Desert). I was like hell no. It dropped out of the cloud, glowing bright orange and cylindrical. It was irradiating (I do science work). It was dead silent. If I had my phone on my I'd be rich right now. I have never believed in aliens until that night. I was sober. It was my second night stargazing this summer and I saw two unique objects. The first thing I saw could have been a high flying aircraft. The craft had several white lights that I could see. What I found unusual was the lack of sound as when the object flew over going south to north I heard no sound. When I first saw the object, I thought it was a satellite but when the object came closer towards me I could see individual creamy white lights on it. The white lights were solid and did not strobe. The object also seemed to be oval in shape as I could see an oval or boomerang shaped front that was silhouetted in the night sky. I did not observe any red or green lights on the object. At 45 degrees, I would estimate the size of the craft was about a quarter to an eighth of the size of my thumb. The second thing was a bright strobe-like light that lit up the sky. Not sure where or what caused the strobe but it was very bright and white. The light was seen in the south to southwest sky. Note: The light strobed vertically towards the ground and not across the sky. It was very bright and I could not see a light source.

Driving north from San Diego to Mammoth Mountain, just after civil twilight, our vehicle witnessed a series of lights lasting about 5-10 seconds in front of our vehicle (north). It was a definitive 5 lights burning heading in a left-wards vector with the lead light being the brightest. The driver of our car pointed it out. We all had a few seconds to look and remark on how we thought it was aliens. A few minutes (10 or so?). We witnessed the same thing again. Tried to get video, but the event ended before we could get any video. Perhaps this was meteors in the atmosphere, but this did not look like any shower I had witnessed before. Very amateur observation, but I figured I would report it.
