Light over Stow, OH
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
Very bright light that was in the eastern horizon moving west, the light 'turned off' then reapered in the western sky seconds later.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center. Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.
Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

Was standing at the first hole at the golf course and the sun was setting in the lighting was spectacular facing east. So I took two pictures, one regular and one zoomed 3x. When I was looking at the pictures there is something there in the second pictures and not the first. Pictures were taken just seconds apart. So I did not see anything with my own eye just in the picture.

I was sitting on my deck looking towards the northeast when a flash of light in the sky caught my eye. The object was at about 60 degree elevation. I observed it for a minute or so with my naked eye and it appeared to be similar to a satellite tumbling in space, reflecting the sunlight as it tumbled. With my binoculars it appeared to have a linear shape but very thin, almost a sliver. It appeared to moving very slowly to the east. I observed it for a few more minutes when a passenger jet flew nearby. It was obvious that the object was far above the jet's contrails. After about 10 minutes, the object suddenly accelerated to the south for a short distance, then made a 90 degree turn towards the earth. My house blocked further observation of the object. The reason I am reporting this is because of the sudden acceleration and changes in direction the object made. I saw all of this in broad daylight under mostly sunny skies.

I work the midnight shift, and I happen to look up into the sky (facing north) just below the handle of the big dipper (ursa major) I saw what looked like a comet. It was a big bright white light as bright as the moon was last night. Then in an instant it went from one to four balls of light falling kind of in a check mark shape, and as quickly as it appeared, it was gone. I've tried to search and even posted to social media to see if anyone else saw this, of course most people I know are in bed at that time. I wish it would have lasted long enough to get capture footage. It was beautiful what ever it was.

I saw a bright red light which apeared to be a low altitude plane. Through my window the solid reddish orange light seemed to have a 5 pointed star shape. The craft traveled a steady speed. There were no blinking lights, just a solid color. It wasn't a normal light so I watched it travel from the NW to the SE but as it approached the SE horizon the lights turned off and the craft went dark. I then witnessed three other identical crafts traveling the same speed and flight path aprox 20 second to 40 seconds apart. As one would come close to the SE horizon and go dark the next would appear in the NW horizon. It was difficult to judge altitude, but I would say they were traveling higher than typical helicopters but much lower than commercial jets. We are close to a small airport where single prop planes are constantly in the sky and we are also in the flight path of a regular helicopter. These was no noise to suggest either of these types of crafts. Along with the lack of noise, the coloration, speed, flight path, and number of craft ruled out these possibilities.
