What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

Moving West to East and then turning north a series of identical very bright objects with pencil thin lights would appear out of nowhere one at a time and after making the turn the bright light would fade to dark at the same time a new object would appear in the exact place the other one started. This happened about 8 times. All objects followed the exact path of the last and would fade out at the same spot leading to the next one starting. This happened 8 perfectly spaced times before no others followed.

As I was driving down my road, I noticed an orange light (resembling flames) in the sky. I turned around and went back and parked in my driveway, where I observed 3 orange spheres or orbs flying east. They made no sound and the light was steady. They were flying in succession, not together. The total time of observation was 8 minutes. I attempted to get a video of it on my iPhone but it's not the best quality.
