Light over College Station, TX
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
One third larger and twice as bright as venus. The object did not twinkle as one would expect if it were a star.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center. Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.
Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

We were stopped at a light on an intersection, when both of us saw a green fireball shoot across the sky. At first we thought it was a meteor. However, when compared to visuals of meteors, the object was vastly different. Don't exactly know what it was, but that's what makes this a UFO. On the above date and time, I witnessed a solid white ball of light, traveling at a good speed followed by what sounded like a military helo. The event was seen about 3/4 to 1 mile to my west. The helo and light was traveling from the SW to N/NE. I could clearly hear the motor from the helo but no notable sound coming from the white light and no blinking beacons were noted coming from it either. I first noted the crafts when they were in close proximity to Easterwood Airport in College Station Texas. The white orb appeared to be gaining distance from the helo. I have a military and police history. This was the strangest event I have witnessed

Went stargazing with a friend last night (3/25/15) at Lake Bryan outside of College Station. While using my Celestron Astromaster 114 with 32mm fully coated eyepiece, I was focused in on Jupiter for a minute or so, when a red/green alternating orb flew across my field of view. I then followed this object, which moved at incredible speed, west (Jupiter was in south sky) until cloud cover prohibited seeing object. What drew my attention was its curving motion and abrupt changes in speed, from close to a dead stop to full speed almost instantaneously. The speed of this object was far greater than any aircraft/satellite and could not be seen by naked eye, only through telescope. This will sound strange but this morning, as I was leaving the house (around 5:45 AM), I was walking toward my car and noticed up in the sky a very bright, white object. It was illuminating a cloud and appeared like a spot light shining up there. I turned around and went back in the house to tell my husband to come out and see this thing. When I came back out and looked again, whatever it was had disappeared. It wasn't the moon, wrong area of the sky, and it wasn't a street light, too high in the sky, and it wasn't a spotlight, since we live out in the country. To tell you the truth, I can't even describe the shape other than it was round-like and bright white.

I am a 22 year old male college student currently attending Texas A&M University. At about 4 AM on 12/16/14 I stepped outside to stargaze on this unusually clear night. One of my roommates was also outside with me, but looking in a different direction when the event occurred. I was facing east when I noticed a bright white orb of light on the horizon. It was moving from south to north with extreme velocity. In the course of about 3 seconds the orb-like object continued on it’s path in the West-Northwest direction with speed near that of a shooting star until it spontaneously disappeared from sight ( no visual obstructions). My best estimation, based off of observation, is that the object was between 10,000 and 15,000 ft elevation and moving at least 20x-30x faster than any aircraft I have ever seen. When I first noticed the orb I exclaimed for my roommate to look, and by the time he was facing in the right direction it had just disappeared. This was my first UFO sighting, I figured I should report it especially since I am very curious if anyone else in this area saw it.

At approximately 10:15 pm, myself and 4 other family members witnessed something hovering in the sky that we could not identify or explain. We were on the back patio of my house, and observed a large object floating in the same spot with a very bright red and white light. The lights were not blinking, not strobing, just on. There was no sound either. We were not able to make out the shape of the object. We assumed what we were seeing was a helicopter at first, until we saw it move. It would suddenly move one direction, then dart the other way without stopping (from left to right without pausing). It would seem to float and dip, and then suddenly accelerate a short distance, and then freeze. It also would suddenly descend and ascend. All of the movements seemed very erratic, and not at all like any normal flight pattern. I do not believe that a helicopter would be capable of the movements we witnessed. We watched the object for about 3 minutes as it slowly traveled several miles away and out of view. Hoping others witnessed!??
