Le 11 octobre 1992 entre 21h30 et 22h30 deux témoins indépendants observent une forme blanchâtre ovale qui se déplace lentement au-dessus de Marseille. Les deux témoins prennent la précaution de filmer leur observation. Les enquêtes des 2 brigades montreront rapidement que les témoins ont observé de loin un dirigeable basé à Marignagne et effectuant des vols promotionnels de nuit.
