Au cours des nuits du 4 au 18 octobre 1987, un témoin observe dans le ciel un point très lumineux. Suite à un article paru dans la presse régionale de nombreux autres témoins de cette observation se manifestent. Il s'agit probablement de la planète Jupiter présentant avec ses satellites une intense et spectaculaire activité en cette période de l' année.
