Le 23 octobre 1978 vers 20 un témoin, accompagné de son chien apeuré, observe durant plusieurs minutes les déplacements d'un objet lumineux projetant une lumière de couleur orange. De forme ronde, l'objet scintillant effectuera des changements de vitesse et de directions sans qu'aucun bruit particulier ne soit entendu par le témoin. Un boule de feu sera aperçue sortant de l'objet. L'objet disparaîtra soudainement. Aucun autre témoignage ne sera recueilli par la gendarmerie pour corroborer toutes les informations données par l'unique témoin.
