Le 12 juin 2013 à 8h40 un témoin et son fils sur leur terrasse entendent une succession de détonations et voient dans le ciel un objet ovale sombre dont l'arrière devient brillant à chaque détonation. Cet objet survole le village de façon rectiligne. Le Pan est perdu de vue derrière un batiment agricole. Un seul témoignage est recueilli. Les données météorologiques recueillies montrent un temps couvert, au plafond généralement bas, avec un vent faible soufflant globalement du sud et une visibilité moyenne (voir le compte rendu d'enquête). Ce témoignage est d’une faible consistance : peu précis et détaillé et manquant par ailleurs de données primordiales et nécessaires pour la suite de l’étude. Témoin oculaire unique ayant témoigné et pas de documents photo ou vidéo. L’observation pourrait être étrange, cependant, trop d’imprécisions et de lacunes dans le témoignage empêchent de juger de façon véritablement valide son étrangeté. Après avoir analysé l'hypothèse d'un hélicoptère, avancée par les gendarmes, compte tenu des éléments recueillis dans l'enquête menée à distance et du manque d’informations angulaires sur la taille du PAN, aucune hypothèse ne peut être nettement confirmée. Le GEIPAN n'a malheureusement pas traité assez vite ce dossier pour pouvoir vérifier à temps le trafic aérien. Ce cas est classé en catégorie « C » par manque d’informations, le manque important d’éléments et de recoupements ne permettent pas d’établir un avis solide.
