My wife and I were at Wal-Mart, on 4th of July. Just before the fireworks we saw an object float in from the south. It emitted an orange-red color. There were many witnesses. The object made no sound. It seems it was observing the crowd and not interested in the fireworks because it flew west and disappeared. The fireworks started and we did not see it after that.

This email was received by Missouri MUFON Assistant State Director through our website and I thought it would be of interest to you since it is similar to other reports you received: "My friend and I were house sitting at an older, 1 bedroom house in the middle of nowhere outside Sarcoxie, night before last. Neither of us has ever spent the night there before and the house isn't particularly nice, or clean and has the portable kind of air conditioner, with 2 large hoses that you have to wedge in the window. We had moved it to the bedroom and at 3 a.m., very bright lights came in through the area where the curtain was pulled up and to the side because of the a.c. hoses. It lit up a straight line, going up until reaching the ceiling, about a foot thick. This continued, line after line, almost like the lights under a scanner. When we looked out the corner, the lights were so large and bright, it almost looked and sounded like some type of large farm machinery, and there are 2 big fields behind and beside the house. On the right side there is type of metal barn, then the tree line begins. It would be near impossible to even fit something like that next to the house, much less turn to go to the back. After several minutes after "scanning" the entire room, it moved to each room in the house, doing the same thing, but not in the front, which faces the highway. This was during a thunderstorm and the rain quit above the house the whole time this went on, which was for 2 hours. The thunder and lightning never stopped and the thunder was louder than any I've ever heard. Almost immediately after the lights left, the rain returned. It was not a drone or farm equipment. The closest neighbors didn't see it, so I'm thankful my friend did, or I might worry I'm going crazy. I don't know what to do or who to call, but I am absolutely terrified. Please contact me as soon as possible, at any time." The event occurred at 3 a.m. to 5 a.m. in the early morning hours of July 4, 2016. ASD contacted the witness by phone and obtained further information. The witness went back to the house with her boyfriend the next night (actually later the same night July 4) and again the lights appeared but at the earlier time of 10:30 p.m. The witness was afraid and called her parents to come pick her up immediately, leaving her boyfriend behind. He texted her at 12:30 a.m and said that the lights had finally gone. The witness and her boyfriend searched the exterior grounds during the day but found no evidence of a landing or damages to vegetation or to the house. The witness contacted me through an email from our missourimufon.org website. I included her entire email in the above initial report. I spoke with her for over an hour on the phone. The witness seemed genuinely upset about this event. There was no UFO sighted, however, the strange lights observed for over two hours are a mystery. The witness said she was awakened by bright lights coming into the bedroom with a beam of light seeming to scan the entire room very slowly, then moving on to the next room and so on until the entire house had been "scanned." She stated that the driveway alarm did not go off, which would have indicated that a vehicle had entered the property. This event continued for two full hours until 5:00 a.m., then stopped. During the time that the lights were going around the house, no rain fell on the house even though they were in the middle of a thunderstorm. After the lights quit, rain began to fall on the house. This would indicate that some type of craft was possibly hovering above the house during the event. Also, since the driveway alarm did not activate, this would indicate that this was an airborne vehicle. Oddly, the lights returned the next night and the witness called her parents to come pick her up since she was afraid. They did so, but her boyfriend, who remained in the house, texted her and said the lights were there from 10:30 pm to 12:30 am the next morning. Her father is a retired psychologist, and is a UFO investigator. He could not explain the event. Her brother served in the military. The witness seems very credible. Conclusion: Likely a drone or UFO, but I'm marking this as Unknown Other since we just don't know what it was. Note: similar bright light events occurred across the state on and near this date.

Watching fireworks display I saw a red light to my NW thought it was a helicopter until it stopped on a dime and hovered for a few minutes then moved in a manner uncharacteristic of a helicopter back to the SW a 100 feet then it continued to hover and move in a very smooth manner a number of times. It then went towards the NE and I lost sight behind trees as it moved from the area. Too high for a drone too smooth for a helicopter and the manner of flight did not indicate a plane (which were in the area since we are on the flight path into Ontario airport) Multiple people viewed and exclaimed that it was extraordinary.

My friend and I were sitting outside of our campsite watching the sunrise over the mountains, and suddenly a bright flash appeared in the distance. It moved very quickly away and flashed 5 times while moving. Then it just disappeared. I have seem aircraft and satellites, but this was nothing like that. It was an extremely bright flash and appeared to be moving outward at a tremendous speed before just disappearing. The sky was clear and was moving away from the mountains so there was no way it could have disappeared behind something.

I was star gazing when I saw a strange moving light in the lower part of the horizon South-Southeast towards Randolph-Atwater. At first I thought it was a plane but it was moving randomly in the same region of the sky. It alternated between white, red, and maybe blueish lights. I next thought it was a law enforcement helicopter doing IR sweeps but the movements were too eratic and always in the same area of the sky. From my perspective it moved easily an 1"-1.5" in any direction at any given time.

On July 3, 2016, at approximately 1:30am, an intense blueish VOILET light was seen shining from within the clouds over Burnaby. I live in Surrey. I was getting up to open my window, when I encountered these strange lights in the sky. I counted a total number of 8 lights, shaped in a crown like formation. The light was bright, but didn't seem to be coming from a spotlight down below. There was no traceable light that was visible from its origin if it were to be coming from the ground. If I had to pinpoint a place of origin, I would say it was coming from within the clouds, shining outwards. This event lasted about ten minutes, throughout which the lights seemed to turn on and off in a randomized pattern. This event was also witnessed and filmed by a lady in the Guildford area, she posted the video on YouTube under, "Ufo? Blue lights sighting @ Vancouver, BC 1:30am July 3, 2016" I haven't heard of any other reports from this event. No Facebook posts, no news articles. I'm not sure if the RCMP was ever contacted. Not sure if there's anyone else who might have seen this.

While smoking outside at around midnight, we heard a noise that is very difficult to describe. The sound was like a car doing donuts (screeching tires) and strange (almost painful or desperate) howling. These noises were very loud and caused both of us to feel extremely uncomfortable. My fiancee was almost in tears. It was so loud the neighbors came outside to see what was happening. There was nothing unusual in the skies, but our cats were keyed onto the noise and were acting very distraught. The sound disappeared all at once, after about 2 minutes. We stayed outside for approximately 10 minutes, and the sound never returned. It may have been nothing, but this was one of the eeriest things that we've encountered in many years. I still have chills trying to recall the noise.

About 6 years ago me and 3 other friends are hanging out we decided to walk to the lake which was a short walk from their house. Once we got to the lake it was around 12am. I layed on my back and began to stargaze and search for the brightest stars in the sky. I find the star that is the brightest and begin to watch it and think about life. After around 5 mins I sit up and instantly out the corner of me eye towards the left in the direction of the lake I notice another star positioned perfectly where i could not see it while laying on my back. What was odd is that this was now the brightest star in the sky and i was wondering why i didn't notice it earlier while I was looking for the brightest stars. So I restarted the whole process of thinking about life because I now found the true brightest star. I watched this star just as intensively as the last and did not break eye contact not once while thinking about whatever came to mind. The Universe, my past, my future, anything just life in general. But I still had the feeling like I should have noticed this star already. I watched it for about 5 mins, the same amount of time as the first star. I asked my friends randomly "Hey do y'all think that's a star or a satellite?" while pointing at it. I really didn't expect them to have any clue what star I was talking about because there were so many but as soon as I finished my sentence the star broke out of position and flew about 50ft over the lake that when i noticed that i definitely wasn't a star but it looked like a craft of some sort. Then it came directly at us in a straight line but moving very smoothly. At that point I started to freak out because I was just staring at this thing and it wasn't moving, it was up there with the stars. I told my friends we should leave but they were all stuck with their mouths open. I started to move back towards the tree line. Then I decided that I needed to get a look at this thing at least. Once I looked back it changed directions as if it backed off because it knew I was scared. It's a crazy thing to say but I really feel like it knew I was scared and decided not to approach us. It got within a couple hundred ft and I noticed a green glow that almost seemed fluorescent right before it disappeared behind some trees. It made no noise at all.

I saw a strange flashing of green and red of a stationary object in the northern sky, before Mt Baldy/San Antonio Mtns. Then it changed colors. I fetched my binoculars and the best I can say was that there were 7 lights that were changing colors- red, blue, purple, but mostly green with a white light in the center. The object moved around and eventually dipped out of sight. Lasted 45 minutes. I did not detect a body of the craft but it was the fast flashing lights and there were 7 major lights in a circle. Strange whatever it was. I have video too but it is indistinct. Only with binos could I make out the detail. And it was still for a long time but when it moved, it covered space rather quickly. Would be seen by others in area, northern sky, and not very high in the sky

I noticed a really bright star and thought it might be a planet at first or a satellite. Then I noticed it looked like it had red lines underneath, projecting outward. Then I looked around and every star seemed to look like that so I thought my eyes might have been tired since it was 11 pm, way past my bedtime. I got my kids, 19, 18 & 11 and they all described the same thing. I noticed they were closer than stars, which we could see and were much farther away and looked normal. We live in town so it’s hard to see stars because of all of the streetlights. All four of us could see the exact shape and colors and they were all identical. They resembled a star (white), with four lines coming out under them in a shape similar to a penciled hangman. Two lines went out to the sides (perfectly parallel) and two angled downwards like an upside-down V. There are at least twenty of them and they were all across the sky, in all directions. A few of them flickered, one went out and then came back a few minutes later, a couple seemed to move a little bit but not much, but most never moved and we stayed out there an entire hour. We gave up watching after that hour but they were still there. There were a couple of planes that flew over while we were out there, so we knew these were not planes. There would never be that many planes where we live. We thought about Chinese lanterns since it is so close to the 4th, but most of them never moved. We thought about satellites, but why so many? And they seemed really close. They seemed to be just over our town. I thought about drones, as I have seen a couple but why at night and so many? They were defiantly mechanical objects as they were all identical.. I hope to find out what these were. They were definitely something I have never seen and I have been a star watcher for 40+ years.

About 100 yards from my house, there was red and green lights flashing right above trees. It was hovering for about 2-3 minutes, then it slowly lifted up and flew away. It was making a weird noise and was pretty large in size. I could not see the shape or anything, however. My dogs started barking and were acting weird.

Neither of us can explain what we first thought were birds but erratic flight, altitude, and a reflection from sun discredited the thought. Though many military jets frequent the sky, none would fly with such patterns so close. After viewing for some time, the objects just disappeared into a cloudy sky.

A small silver dot was flying parallel to the jet at the same speed. The dot was very close to the plane about 1/2 inch to scale. I thought that it was possibly a fighter escort, but I would have heard the fighter jet. There was no vapor trail from the dot. There was a long vapor trail from the jet. It was a crystal clear day. The dot paralleled the jet for about 10 seconds. Then the dot vanished with no change in direction. The jet continued to fly with no change in course, on the same path that I see all jets fly every day. I watched the jet until it was out of site. The silver dot never returned.

-Brightness, speed, trajectory, distance, etc. was the same for each object and behaved exactly like a satellites. -iPhone compass showed a 221 degrees SW heading from West to South. -progression was 1light-followed by-1light-followed by-5to7lights(honeycomb shape)-followed by1light-followed by-1light. -I'm 43y.o. and don't use drugs, drink, or smoke cigarettes or weed. -I do stargaze a couple times every night for about 20 mins and have watched a hundred, if not more, satellites. -WOW! 9pm – We were in our back yard, looking up at the Moon, when we noticed two “aircraft lights” a little “west” of the moon, about the height that we usually see airplanes. Planes regularly fly over our house, at a high altitude; we see the lights blinking and sometimes a red light from the taillight. My husband said that’s weird the lights on those planes aren’t blinking. I was like oh ok who cares. Then he was like also one of them isn’t moving, they are just hovering. Then we thought helicopter?? But it seemed really high for a helicopter and we couldn’t hear anything, we can usually hear a faint roar when a plane flies over. So then one of the “lights” starts moving really slowly through the clouds heading east, while the other stayed still. An actual plane flew by as this was happening, the plane was much faster with blinking lights and we could hear it. The east light moved for about 5-6 minutes then stopped and hovered. The west light started moving really slowly as well, for about 2 minutes then stopped. They both just stayed there, seemingly equidistant from the moon (from what we could tell) for about 20 minutes before a large black storm cloud obscured them from view.

At 0400 on June 13, 2016, I awoke to look out my north facing window to see a very unusual bright light to the NNE of my home. The object was fixed in the sky, and I could not determine the distance from my home. It appeared above the mountains. Using binoculars I could determine that the object was displaying three different color lights, red, white and green. The object stayed in a fixed position until the clouds obscured it, and later when the clouds were gone, it was daylight. I was concerned that this might just be a star, or something, so this morning, I awoke at the same time to observe the sky in the same position. The object was not there.

I have seen a strange object in the sky for well over a year. It appears to be hovering above the south bend airport. It is definitely not a star or satellite. I have seen this thing many times and it does move. I can't tell if this is some sort of craft used by the airport or military and I can't find anything about this object. I was wondering if its some sort of drone, but it stays in the sky for a long time and the lights on it are extremely bright. I've seen it with different lights (red, green and white ) and not always the same. I don't have any sophisticated equipment to get a good look at it. I've tried a cheap telescope, but I can't make out any definitive shape, although it clearly wasn't anything I've seen before. I would imagine someone else besides my family has seen this thing and if so, maybe someone knows something. All I want to know is what this is.

Now this was the strangest thing I've ever seen in the sky....I was at a friend's apartment in Laguna Beach, visiting her for the first time in the area. While speaking to her, I looked up in the sky and saw 4 Bright red lights in a staggered position from one another, moving towards my right somewhat in an average speed, not too fast as I was able to capture a photo and video of the sighting. I could draw it if I had a pen to show you. I asked my friend what those lights were in the sky since she lived in the area. She turns around, looks up and says that she has never seen those lights, all of a sudden, one of them disappeared. They all then changed colors into a star like color. What made it even more strange, there wasn't any sound of these lights in the air, so I then decided to zoom my camera as much as I could to take a photo and snapped a shot. Afterwards, I took a short video with my phone. You can hear us talking asking what the lights are in th! e video, but not any noise whatsoever in the sky. Then, they just disappeared into thin air......So weird After this strange incident, there is def something other than planet earth life. You might say I'm drunk or on drugs - but that is real; I don't smoke, nor drink - extremely healthy and I am one of those people who has to, "See It to Believe It." So, this is why I have a video to remember such a thing. We have requested a copy of the video, and will post it together with the report, if the witness responds, and if he gives us permission to share the video publicly. PD

Red and green lights appeared in the sky, I thought it was a helicopter. Starting moving really fast and zig-zagging unlike a helicopter then the lights were red & white and it looked like it hid under a tree line. Came back after a few minutes but went back down. I started to think that a military craft should show up soon and sure enough one did. This "thing" was moving fast acting weird going left and right appearing wobbly up and down and was quiet. The only thing I could hear was a slight crackling sound like a fuse after it's lit.

I was sitting at a baseball field in the bleachers with my boyfriend, just chit chatting and enjoying the night. The sky was so clear that night. We were looking up at the stars. I then looked straight ahead and saw what I thought was a bright blue star. It was completely still and shining a bit brighter than the other stars and it was definitely a blue-ish color. I then pointed it out to my BF. As soon as I pointed at it (and we were both looking right at it at this point) it moved quickly to the right and changed colors - to a reddish blinking light. It then jerked up, then left, then down, then right. The turns were very sharp - almost like it stopped in the air and turned right back around to go the other way. The way it moved and the speed it moved, my BF and I agreed it could not of been anything man-made (that we know of, of course). We saw it moving for about a minute then it disappeared behind some trees. A few minutes later we saw two triangular pla! nes (one after the other) flying parallel to us the turn left toward where the object was. Those planes looked as if they could of been military fighter jets. They weren't moving too fast and the turn looked normal to what I've seen as far as planes go. It definitely could of been coincidental as they turned towards where Logan Airport would be (we see planes fly over all the time in Cambridge). I know what I saw was something different and no one will convince me otherwise. It was not a plane, helicopter, drone, laser light, or anything like that. This thing was completely idle like a star, started out blue, and changed to red lights and moved erratically right after I pointed it out to my BF. The reason I felt the need to share this story is basically to see if anyone else in my area saw something like that on that night. I know I'm not crazy because my boyfriend saw it too. Very cool but sort of freaked me out.
