I contacted the sheriff's office to inquire whether their chopper was out tonight and was told that it was not. I was eventually redirected to the UFO hot line, where I stated my case on the answering machine and then came to report the incident here.

I live on the beach in Carlsbad CA, and have 180 degrees of unabstructed sky over the pacific ocean. I have in the last month purchased two pairs of powerful binoculars, thinking of even getting more powerful one. Also have a Canon 80d which has a telescopic type lens, which most of the pics are from. The pics from Nov 13th when reviewing my pics, I have still not looked at the rest of November, as I was amazed at what I already caught. I have seen the same craft I have pictured on Nov 13th I saw during the day and captured a pic of just before it vanished. I could not see the craft with my eyes, only with my binoculars but took the picture in the same direction as I viewed it and caught it. I have so many of these pictures if you want more.

Looking out window and above the black Boise horizon, I was watching a white light noticeably bright. Didn't think much of it. Went downstairs and came back 10 mins. later to find it was still there. I stared at it for maybe another five minute and then it cast. VERY bright light for a couple seconds then eventually started moving seemingly away from my standpoint and disappeared. There were other planes and noticeable helicopters in the area at the time of the event as well. I don't even pay attention or really believe this could happen, but I was honestly spooked.

I went outside for something, and looked east and saw something just above the horizon (somewhat of a hill behind our house). It was not moving very fast at all. As it got closer it passed by almost directly above me, but I still had enough view of the side, as I was not directly below. I live near a hospital and a freeway, and often see helicopters for the hospital, the traffic news, firefighters, and police... so i'm quite familiar with how they look and the altitudes they typically fly at. The craft I saw appeared to be at or below what a police helicopter would fly at, and it was roughly the same length as one. It was metallic, and shiny (reflective) and was roughly the shape of a Manta-Ray... but on it's side. There was a small protrusion coming out of the (bottom?) and then extending toward what I would call the "back". I would say that it almost looked like a Mylar balloon, however it was more of a brass or copperish color. It was slowly rotating along a vertical axis, at a consistant speed and did not roll to the side at all, and did not pitch up or down. It simply rotated (roughly 1 revolution every 8 seconds) as it slowly passed overhead at a steady rate. After it passed over and was moving away from me, I realized I should take a photo but I didn't have my camera, or my phone with me. I ran inside, and grabbed my Canon 5D Mk2 and my 70-200mm lens but for whatever reason all of the batteries were dead (nothing else was affected like this, i'd say the dead batteries were my fault and unrelated) so I grabbed my phone... and let my daughter (only 4 at the time) know there was a UFO outside and she should come outside and look. I ran out to the driveway, and she saw it and said it looked like a manta ray (otherwise I would not have come up with how to describe it). By this time it was much further away, and had gained altitude. I started recording with my iPhone 7 Plus telephoto camera... and by this point it was pretty much just a dot in the footage, but I zoomed in, and you could somewhat see some shimmering of the light off the reflective surface, and can somewhat tell it is rotating because of the blurry dot changing shape. Watching the footage later on, it appears that the object changes direction right before I stop. Asking my daughter about it now, she does not remember the event. She said she sort of remembers going outside to see something but cannot recall any details now. I created a map of where I was, and roughly the path the craft took. Lining up where I was standing with my neighbor's roofs in the footage shows approximately where it was. I labeled points where I saw it, where I ran inside, and when I came back outside. Here is a link to the map, and I've included an image of it in the files. I'm also including a video of a 3D model that I just made of the object, trying to remember as best I can what it looked like in the files, as well as an image of the file. I have never seen anything this shape, even in UFO videos. What stood out the most was the constant stable rotation, it was silent, and had to have been at least 20ft long, maybe longer. If it was even half the size I'd just dismiss it as a large mylar balloon but there's just too much about it that doesn't supprt that. I saw no fins, wings, ports, windows, lights. It was shiney and had a sort of shimmer to it. I don't mind if someone contacts me, but I'm not sure I can remember much more than this.

Encounter with 3 beings: I awoke around 3 am to see 3 beings standing in my bedroom door. They are translucent, soft light emanating from their bodies. I sat up in my bed and I stared intently. My impression was a Mother with a child. She was tall and lean with olive-shaped dark eyes. She had long arms and she was without clothing. I could not make out any specific shapes we would call genitals. Her mouth was narrow with an oval shaped face, no hair on the body. The child entity stood next to the mother holding her leg. The child came up to her hip in height. I got the feeling this was a boy. Same appearance only the head was shaped slightly smaller and stout with arms and legs. The eyes were big and looking at me as if this was its first time seeing a human being. The third entity stood behind them. Same soft light emanating from the body. At this point, I could tell all 3 bodies seemed to be floating like a hologram. The 3rd entity was different in that on top of its head were these antenna with olive-shaped eyes. There must have been 8 or so of these attached to the head and looked like they were part of the scalp. I had the impression this being was a scout and the antenna were cameras. I went to get up out of bed and the beings turned their backs and floated down the hallway and just disappeared. I thought ok, that was a strange experience. The next evening around the same time, 3 am. The being with the antenna on the head appeared standing in my hall near my coat closet and hung onto the woodwork. I looked up and waved my hand. It matched my hand wave and a slight smile like a Mona Lisa Smile appeared on its face. I went to get up and it disappeared. I could only describe the movement of the beings like watching seaweed floating in the ocean. They were opaque but I could see through them. I remember feeling a joy in my heart unlike any other. An overwhelming sense of love and wonderment. It was a marvelous experience. I wish to remain anonymous. My family would not believe me, I have told 2 close friends. Whether they believe I do not care. I felt like I should share. I believe these beings are walking among us at this moment. Observing us. Maybe they are here to help or just waiting to pick up the pieces after we are gone. Sincerely, A believer

Pickering (near) (Canada), ON · Canada
This sighting was reported from several media outlets in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) I did not personally witness this event; I am reporting it as it was reported by the several local media outlets. Following is a report from a large newspaper (The Toronto Star) in the area: The pilots of a Porter Airlines flight inbound to Toronto on Monday morning were forced to put their plane into a sudden dive to avoid a mid-air collision with an unidentified object high over Lake Ontario, causing minor injuries to two flight attendants. Now investigators with the Transportation Safety Board of Canada admit they have a puzzle on their hands to determine exactly what the pilots had to avoid. “Nobody knows at this point. It happened so quick,” said Peter Rowntree, senior regional investigator with the safety board. “We’ve got our work cut out trying to figure out what this unidentified flying object was. What did they encounter?” Rowntree said in an interview. “It definitely wasn’t a bird. It was a fairly large object,” he said, describing it as up to three metres wide. There were initial concerns that the object was an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), or drone, highlighting once again worries about their growing prevalence and the risks they pose to aviation. Rowntree said it was too soon to say for sure. But he said the location of the incident — at 2,743 metres (9,000 feet) over the lake near the U.S. border, far from shore — is reason for concern if it was a drone. The Porter Dash 8-400 turboprop was on its initial approach to Toronto’s Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport from Ottawa when the two pilots saw they were on a collision course. They had mere seconds to spot the object and react to avoid the danger. “They essentially just pushed the nose down to get underneath it,” Rowntree said. “It’s a big sky out there, so the fact they even saw it is something,” he said, noting that the aircraft was travelling at almost 450 kilometres per hour. Two flight attendants suffered minor injuries in the evasive manoeuvre. They were taken to hospital and released. None of the 54 passengers on board the flight were injured, airline spokesperson Brad Cicero said. At first the pilots believed the object was a balloon, but later thought it could have been a drone, Cicero said. The Toronto Star published the above article. I removed information about this being a possible drone and the concerns about people flying drones that wasn't important regarding the sighting description. The drone they speak of is not a military drone; as Canada doesn't appear to have such craft. A personal drone (UAV) doesn't usually offer enough range to have been at the altitude - and distance from shore - this object was seen. Most commercial UAV drones have a range of between 100 metres and 2000 metres.

Hello, I was sitting in my ground level apartment this morning at approximately 11 am, when I hear a sonic boom. I've lived near airports before, so I've heard sonic booms before, but this one was unusually loud and long. It last approximately 13 seconds, and was done so close to the ground that I could feel it though my wheel-chair. It’s very unusual for us to have sonic booms where I live, although the Salem airport does have military vehicles, and aircraft, it is located almost directly south from my apartment. The boom had an odd characteristic, I don't know if it’s from how close to the ground it was, but there seemed to be a low level rumble that preceded it by a second or two followed by the usual explosion of sound a boom creates. From how it sounded it was going from south to north, and as I said it took nearly 13 seconds for the boom to begin to fade. Unfortunately, I wasn't dressed well enough to step outside to see what created the sound, but I can safely say I've never heard a boom happen like that before. I'm lived in the apartment I'm in for 4 years, and lived around airports most of my life. I lived near the Salem airport for 7 nearing 8 years, PDX the Portland International Airport for 10 years, and 10 years due west of the Hillsboro airport where the Blue Angels flew overhead during the airshow all 10 years I lived there. I’m no military expert, let me say that out front. I’ve worked in customer service most of my life, but have seen several different military vehicles living near the airports I’ve lived in, and while I couldn’t ID them, I am familiar with the booms they make. I’ve never heard one quite like what I heard today between the preceding rumble, the odd vibration to the boom, or the feeling of the chair under me vibrating slightly from it. Hope this helps with all future ventures in to investigations.

Odd sighting on the night of November 7, 2016. Time about 2200 local, 0300Z. Viewer location: Bethlehem, GA, about 45 miles NE of Atlanta GA. Observation time: minute or less. Bright, moving light in the NE sky makes short u-turn, erratic motion, then lost from sight. Looking up at the night sky to the NE towards Auriga, I noticed a bright object moving to the Northeast. We have a tremendous amount of traffic in the North Georgia skies, and I watch it a lot. First impressions were “Is that the ISS?”, but at that location it may have been in the shadow by then. It was farther East than I thought I should still be able to see it because of the Earth’s shadow, and I could not be sure whether or not it was blinking, but the light was not steady. Might have been twinkling if it was far enough away. The velocity looked just a little fast for the ISS. There was no separation in the light and any flashing that may have been there, as in Wing lights. Distance looked to be many miles. Over abut a 10 second period, it slowed down a little and changed course slightly to the East. Then, in period of 3 to 4 second, made a 180 degree U-turn in the space of 1, not more than 2 finger widths held at arm’s length. It continued towards the SW, and made 2 or 3 small deviations in path, sped up and slowed down a lot, and came to what looked like a stop. It was too far away and/or too high to be a helicopter I thought, and there was no sound as it appeared to be hovering from my perspective. The brightness was about that of Capella, the bright star in Auriga. Motion then resumed but slower. I am not sure of the position of the object to the nearby stars at that point. I called for my wife to come look, and lost track of it for about 10 seconds. I thought it was there, but when I looked back to where I thought it was, the only thing like it was Capella. This was definitely moving in a very odd pattern for an airplane, and at that distance had to be moving pretty fast. The quick, tight U-turn and erratic motions were not like a passenger airplane would make. I think it was too high for a helicopter, and far enough away to not be audible. I continued to watch for several more minutes, but realized it had disappeared or faded out, and the only thing of comparable magnitude was Capella.. The strange thing was this was able to do a U-turn very quickly - within 3 seconds I'd guess, and it seemed to make changes in direction without the usual "curved" trajectory. It also stopped moving. It appeared to be rather far away. My son said "It could be a drone", but at 2200, and by the distance, it appeared to be with no noise I doubt it was.

Observed 3 craft in sky. I hovering still and 2 streaking across the sky, almost in a playful manor. They were fast and changed direction mid flight. Shape is unknown due to distance in the sky. They seemed metallic and shiny when the sun glare hit them and reflected back. This has been the 3rd sighting I personally witnessed but first actually caught on cell phone camera. The sighting lasted approximately 2 minutes at which point they just faded into the sky as if if flying away from earth but still within the line of sight of curvature of earth.

I was going for an early morning walk; this time is my favorite for star gazing. I often see many different varieties of ufos whenever I take a moment to look up at the night sky. This instance was the most unusual sighting. The sky was clear except for the residual chem trail mist, pre-sunrise, still dark, the stars were fairly bright. Out of the corner of my eye I saw movement, I focused on it slowly moving from north to south west. It was like a dark blob/oval-ish...the weirdest thing, and the only way I could tell it was up there was how the edges kind of fluttered. They gave the appearance of pixels all around the edges. I said, "What the hell is that?" It hovered a few seconds about 200 feet up, and then continued southwest. No sound. Very very big. No lights. Just the "pixel blending" effect on the edges allowed it to be seen at all. Kind of like when the cable signal is bad..but it blended itself completely into the background. It was very hard to describe, as I have never seen anything like that...

I was watching the walking dead when i glanced out the window and noticed 2 bright glowing objects in the sky. At first i thought they were stars but I looked back I noticed they were slowly moving one directly up and the other slowly to the east. I live in the path to the airport so I thought maybe they were planes in the distance, but they had red lights on them, they were simply bright light, I went out and watched them for 15 as they slowly kept moving, I noticed one start to get brighter and glow with a green hue i went back in to get my phone to try and get a picture but my camera sucks at night so I didnt bother. I went back in to try and get someone to take a look with me but when i went back in they were gone. I live in the city I thought this was very odd I know what helicopters, stars and planes look like in the sky and this was neither. I feel a bit weird even posting this but Mr. Davenport always encourges us on coast to post these things so im doing that now.

When I looked out a large window, the sky was very dark (window looks out on several miles of open fields, with low hills, the Pelham range in the distance). There were two bursts of light that occurred in very rapid succession. They seemed to appear from just on the other side of the hills and were impressively large. It was a quiet night here, no noise was audible, and that seemed to be it. Given the distance from the occurrence though, this had to be something major, yet I can find no instance of an explosion or accident.

Two incidents-same night 5 Nov 2016 beginning approx. 1855hrs (PST) I was sitting in my driveway, with a (roughly) 1/3 moon in the south western sky at around 45 degrees in the sky, which was/is quite clear and free of clouds. Many nights, I sit out looking at the stars, moon and planets—I’ve been doing this for decades (I am 53). In the past year I acquired a good pair of binoculars, Zeiss 15x60 that are excellent for observing. I was curious if I would witness any meteors tonight, so I had the binoculars hanging from my neck, was leaning back, just letting my eyes adjust to the dark. I had my eyes closed for brief a few moments, maybe a minute to give them a rest—when I opened them I was looking up at about 80 degrees, looking south when I saw what I automatically assumed was a satellite (a common sight at night—I have seen as many as 6-9 in a couple hours.) This time was different—it was not one, but two—that seemed to be moving in tandem. The one further west was ahead by a few degrees, but there were certainly two, traveling together. I raised the binoculars to look for any possible detail that might identify them as just high flying aircraft. I observed no flashing lights, just somewhat steady, white light, that faded as the hurriedly traveled southwest-toward and past where the moon was in the sky. This was the first time I’ve witnessed two, so I rationalized this may have been two very, very high and fast moving military aircraft (I discounted any idea that these were civilian aircraft)—that would be illogical to assume they were civilian as civilian aircraft are nearly always commercial in nature, and fly to make money. 2nd incident Roughly 30 minutes later I was sitting in the same spot just outside my garage door facing south. I was looking directly overhead into the dark sky looking for a satellite to pass. At 1925 hrs (PST) I observed a faint moving light, extremely high in the sky that I identified as a satellite moving directly south. I brought my binoculars to bear on the object and observed it moving rapidly, the field of stars in the background clearly visible. I did this for maybe 10 seconds and as it passed through a field of stars I noticed what first appeared to be flickering lights/stars just to the east by maybe 1 degree. I stopped following the satellite as that appeared fairly routine but focused on the flickering lights. What struck me was these lights were not moving quickly—they in fact appeared stationary in the sky (as compared to surrounding stars)—I have seen countless aircraft at night—they are easy to identify—usually almost always you can see 2-3 lights, 1 green, 1 red on either wingtip—sometimes if low enough you can see steady lights from the fuselage-this group of lights—flickering faintly, appeared to not fit this pattern at all. I kept watching the group of lights for well over a minute—they did move—slightly, and slowly—but there was no uniformity or consistency to it. I compared it to what you witness when you see artillery or even lighting far in the distance. No sound, random sudden brightness with no real pattern-purely random. Like I say, the light “pattern” moved but was very high, much higher than I am used to seeing flying aircraft-and as mentioned aircraft lights flicker or blink as well as appear steady as they move across the sky. On a clear night you can even see contrails—none of this applied to these ‘lights’. I even remarked to myself that it appeared to be a moving battle---but in the atmosphere. Very high up in the atmosphere. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) Hello Mr. Davenport—I was reading your announcement on the NUFORC website about looking out for hoaxes etc—just wanted to clarify that mine was not. My sighting/report was from 4 Nov out of Kingman AZ. I just didn’t feel like an interview-but it was legit—and actually surprising, as I was just casually observing that night through my binoculars, and was simply surprised at what I saw. ((END ADDENDUM))
