Was driving home from work. It was a state highway but because it was after 10pm in a farming community there was little traffic. I was in an area with very little artificial light when high in the sky I noticed an unusual light. Looked up to see a bright green orb/fireball traveling what appeared to be straight down. My first thought was a firework, but it seemed to be moving at a pace quicker than a firework would free fall. I followed the ball of green light with my eyes for approximately 4-5 seconds until I lost it to the horizon. The car in front of me must have seen it as well because the road was wide open and they broke hard and pulled over. I've lived in the area for 5 years. I've driven this road alone after dark at least 3 nights a week and never seen anything like this. Possible Orionid meteor?? PD

Idyllwild, CA
I was driving down highway 74 about half a mile from the junction with the 243 toward Idyllwild and saw a large green ball in the sky. It was bright and stationary in the sky. After a couple seconds it began accelerating toward the ground at a high rate of speed and i could see what appeares to be orange flames behind it, though at a great distance. Seemed to be falling in the direction of hemet/san jacinto. Possible Orionid meteor?? PD

Seal Beach, CA
I was talking with friends and I noticed a new light in my peripheral vision. I looked up and saw what seemed to be a falling star just above eye level. Then I realized it was far too large and close to be a shooting star because it seemed to only be a mile away. It looked a ball of fire falling from the sky with a trail of smoke. It feel almost perpendicular to the ground. It took about 5-10 seconds to fall from where I first saw it to beyond the building skyline and out of my sight.

As I filled the dogs water bowl this morning I saw a bright violet flash in the the northern sky. The light was constant from sky to the tree line where the object started to curve back to the sky at about a 30 degree angle. The object disappear from sight behind the trees. The object was so hot that a blue streak in the air. The light was left for some time after the object disappeared from view. It may have just been a meteor but it was unlike any I have ever seen. It was such a pretty color, the dark sky looked almost dusk from the intense light. I left for work and looked for an in pact sight but nothing was found. The area I live in is far from city light pollution and full of stars. I can see satellites pass in the winter months. I was hoping to find someone else that had saw the same phenomenon. I have been out with the telescope all night looking. Any info would be helpful. So so so cool!!! No Google video or utube video look anywhere near this object.

North Charleston, SC
Walked onto back porch to let the dogs out, i was looking in the direction of a street light, suddenly and silently 2 orbs which remained equally spaced as they flew into view from left to right. They proceeded to circle each other while maintaining the same distance between each other, they then ascended and descended rapidly and repeatedly, occasionally circling one another as they performed these rapid ascents. They then ascended once more but rather than stopping and descending they continued their ascent and slowly dissappeared

Dubuque, IA
Standing outside when an orange glowing ball that appeared to be on fire flew from South to North across the sky. It did not leave a trail. Once it moved to the northern part of the sky it disappeared. Ten minutes later, another one in the exact same trajectory appeared. Now, a week and a day later, I just witnessed two more. Although still flying South to North, these two were much closer together and flying in the sky at the same time. Same flight path, but these two were further to the Western part of our sky.

They elevated in height very slowly. It was a slightly foggy and slightly cloudy night. The objects got very high until they each disappeared one after the other. Each light was about the size of a star and coloured the same as a star.

North Baltimore, OH
It was the Fall of 2015, I believe mid-October, I was in my vehicle at the CSX Intermodal Rail Yard in Henry Township, Ohio, two miles west of North Baltimore, Ohio. I am in the habit of driving out to the intermodal and shooting random video of activity in and around the yard (opened in 2012). I don't always view my footage, unless something extra was observed. I didn't "see" anything so I didn't view this tape until some number of days, maybe months later. And I noticed the bright "flame" streaking through my view, as the camera was focusing in on some flying geese. I have always been a UFO "buff" observing a couple of interesting events over the years. But nothing really reportable and no photo/video. For whatever reason I have procrastinated doing anything with this video, figuring it probably isn't anything anyway. Well, I ran across it again today and happened to come across your site as well (from Facebook). So I will emai! l the video over. Please, let me know what you think. Email is the best for me to communicate. I get crap Verizon phone reception! Thank you for your time! ((name deleted July 2, 2019 (( Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD)

Monday, Oct 12th 2015, I saw what appeared to be a beautiful meteor fly through the sky. I was at a local track stargazing at around 11:12 PM when this happened. It was a large fiery ball with a trail of light that flew nearly directly over me and disappeared behind trees to my right. It was beautiful. But no one else in my area has seemed to have witnessed it. It seemed to be very close to earth, or either it was very large. It wasn't your average shooting star. It appeared to be well within our atmosphere.

Vacaville, CA
I saw something in the sky tonight over Vacaville traveling from a North to Southerly direction not quite going towards the base. It was a roundish not overly bright orange color. I see planes all the time and even with their exterior lights on this was not something I have seen before. It was not particularly face but it was steady and seems to hover a couple of times before moving on again. I did not hear anything that sounded like a plan or helicopter. It was fairly low because I lost it behind houses and neighbors trees. It was not directly above me maybe half mile away at closets point. This was a 3:43 AM I know because I looked at the clock before stepping outside.

Hammond, LA
The first sighting I had was about 5 months ago. At first I thought it was artificial (fireworks) but then I realized no one lived or could have shot off something in those woods. It was the same color green and about the same amount of time, but it illuminated the trees from the time it was above them to the time it "landed" and illuminated from the bottom. No sound. No "pop", just the sight. It was about 50 yards in front of me too. It happened at work and the woods also happened to be something of a swamp. I live near the Hammond airport on highway 190 and the second incident happend on 190 as well...but 3 miles apart.
