Abnormally bright off-white light traveling in sky, then, that light turned off as two equally bright off-white lights attached to the right and left of the craft that were blinking. (about the speed of a vehicles hazard lights blinking.) Looked as though the two lights were each in the middle of their own rectangle (picture flashing lights in the middle of solar panels on an typical satellite...this was the same sort of shape) and a pin-prick very dim greenish-blue light was also visible between the two flashing lights. This was definitely not an average plane, but my impression is that it was still human-made.

Mattoon, IL

I was with my wife recycling at the recycle bins. The clouds looked like whip cream so I was trying out my new camera mx app filters. I put it on negative and noticed a black dot moving between the water tower and the American flag. I lost it. We drove away. However, I continued filming the sky. Later when looking back at the video I noticed something that looked cloaked flying over the car. Upon further investigation I found that the black dot was actually a part of a triangle of dots moving in unison and other dark areas moved with them. The drive also catched many other unidentified flying objects. The video mist be watched to be believed. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) I reported a cloaked ufo by our water tower in Mattoon , Ill. The event happened on 2/13/2018. I believe . I have attached a screenshot of my report in your site. This sighting has been debunked by myself. It was filmed with a negative filter and recently I learned to reverse the filter and the cloaked ufo is in fact something on the windshield. Hopefully you can take this down or mark it as identified. I had some crazy captures on video of various things . And I've spent hours upon hour frame by frame on them. Most often finding more going on . But , the water tower (thankfully) has been debunked. I racked my brain dealing with that video and all the questions and reality checks that come with a capture of any kind. Last thing I want is to hurt myself credibility and the ufo community as a fake video when it is actually just a mistake. The Alton Il news paper , in 2018,named Illinois as the Hotspot for that year. And it reprinted report from your/our website. Im not from that town. Never even been there. But I was reading the article and saw the 1st one was from my town Mattoon. Im reading it and to my wife that some body must've been seeing it the same time we did. It wasn't long before I realized that "somebody " was my wife and myself. It was my report . 2 reports of 5 from my town. I since have debunked and now Is the part where I try and get the report reversed. Sorry for the mistake and thank you, ((END ADDNDUM))

Mena, AR

On the night of February 8, 2018, I was inside the house watching TV with my wife, when I received a text from a friend at 8:34 pm which said, to go outside and tell me what you see. My wife and I went outside and looked up. When I first stepped outside, I heard dogs barking at a distance to the west of us, which made me look up toward that direction. I noticed that the stars were being blocked by something, then they reappeared. I could tell the object was moving southwest because of the stars blocking out and reappearing. I could not tell the shape of the object for sure, but the width was a good 100 foot. I wonder if there were 2 objects because there were 2 stars toward the center of the width of the object, which seemed to black out and come back. I asked my wife if she saw what I was seeing which was moving southwest. I looked at my wife to see which direction she was looking and I asked her, “Did you see what I saw?” and that’s what we always do to! verify with each other. By the time I looked back up, the object was heading into the treeline. My wife and I realized later that night that a couple of TV shows we were recording at the time we were outside, had stopped recording for about 3-4 minutes. The next day we visited our friend who called us and shared our sightings stories. My background is I am an avid rock hound, retired from the sheet metal industry.

Kelso, WA

My husband and our friend and I were just smoking a cig outside, when our friend pointed out a red lifht in the sky and said “watch that light, it’s doing weird things.” So all three of us watched as it continued kind of like a plane, but faster when it slowed down to stop and hovered for approximately 5 seconds then started traveling the opposite way. Then it stopped again and just disappeared. We were all yelling “whoa! It disappeared” and just then it reappeared and did the same thing again but this time it flashed white 2 or 3 times before it took off the other direction again. We watched it until it disappeared again. Waited for 5 minutes for it to reappear again but we are on the clock and had to get back to work. When it came to a stop it almost looked as though it bounced..like a ball in semi slow motion when you throw it against a wall. My iPhone couldn’t see it to get a video.

Hagerstown, MD

I live near Hagerstown Airport and I walk around my neighborhood at night and am up early in the morning. I entered a date and time for this form but I see strange objects flying in the area often. Usually I see a stationary light in the sky just above the tree line that looks like one set of lights that you'd see on a sports field. It stays in one place for several minutes and then slowly starts to move across the sky, always quite low. There is usually no sound, though sometimes I hear a very low wooshing sound. I also hear prolonged wooshing noises late at night when I'm in bed. They do not move away quickly, but seem to stay in the area for several minutes. I look but see no lights or anything which surprises me because it sounds like something is hovering very low above the house. My entire family have been woken up from these sounds before. I assume these are maybe experimental aircraft since I'm less than a mile from the airport, and I know there are restricted areas there and lots of stories about stuff like this, particularly about the Sierra Nevada Corporation. I should add that I only see and hear these strange things after dark, so maybe they want to keep things secret...

Green Valley, AZ

2018/02/01, 18:35. 31°48.23265' N 111°2.66742' W – Green Valley, AZ. Driving up Calle Tres, almost to Via Montana Vista, 7-9 identically-sized white lights, evenly spaced in a straight horizontal line, directly ahead of me, low in the sky. Notes: *The lights alternated on/off in what looked like signaling, then all turned off. I don't know if every single light turned on/off, or in what order they did so. *I'm not good at estimating size or distance, and it was dark, but my impression was that it was airliner size, maybe a 727's wingspan. My first reaction was that it WAS an airliner, but that it was far too close to the ground. Because I couldn’t see the mesquite ahead of me, I can’t guess how high up it was – it just felt “really close” to the ground for something so large. *I was driving home from work. It was after sunset - 18:35 - and the sky was dark to the west. *I observed the UFO for approximately 1 minute, driving up Calle Tres. As I stopped at the T intersection, the UFO had disappeared (lights all off). It did not reappear, that I could see, after I'd turned south/left, although it now would have been on the passenger side of my car, so would have been difficult/impossible to see if it did. *The area over which the UFO was is State Land - no buildings of any sort. There are recreation vehicle trails through this, but I don't believe there is land at the elevation at which I observed the UFO (upon which ATVs could have been gathered). And, would ATVs be able to turn headlights on/off independently? I did, definitely, see that lights next to each other were independent of each other in turning on/off. I did not hear any ATV sounds. *Sierrita Mountains are west, and just north, of my location. There is a lot of mining going on there, and a mining equipment sales area which shoots off fireworks when they make a sale. This was not fireworks of any type I have ever seen: fireworks don't go on/off at each spot of light, nor are the spots identical and evenly spaced. The known fireworks are shot off quite a distance from my location, but I can hear the reports; there was no sound. *There is a lot of activity from Davis-Monthan AFB over my area, and a lot of BP plane & helicopter activity, as well. I'm used to these, but there was no mechanical noise of any sort. There was no discernable movement, either - the line of lights was stationary the entire (albeit short) time I observed it. *I was playing music in the car, so might have missed fireworks reports, but would have heard an airplane/helicopter. *Coincidentally, a few nights later, I watched the Smithsonian documentary about the solar plane's flight around the world - there was a definite similarity to the night shots of that craft landing - the long row of lights. However, on the UFO, there were no other lights typical of known aircraft - no smaller red or green wing/tail lights, no rhythmic blinking of the white lights. And, again, a known aircraft would make noise, would not turn off all lights at once, would have exploded if it hit the ground. *I had an impression of a V shape, but that could've been subjective interpretation, since I couldn’t see any body shape, only the lights. *I don't know much about drones - are they quiet? And, if drones, why would they all turn their lights off at once? It would have to have been multiple drones, or one huge single drone. Observer: 61-year-old female. Have never before seen a UFO. Have lived in same location for 19 years. Educated, intelligent, logic-based.

I was sitting on my back patio enjoying a cigar and watching the northern sky above Sacramento. The sky in the distance was partially overcast. I watched the periodic aircraft and then noticed one object with a red and yellow light moving slowly. It was 10-15 degrees above the horizon. Suddenly it picked up speed and then started making maneuvers in approx. 10 degrees of air space. It would slow and speed up and then do complete reversals at hi speed. It then dropped below my line of sight. I might add that this object was in the far distance as it went behind clouds periodically. I am a retired electronic engineer.

POSSIBLE UFO SIGHTING 1/25/18 I may have seen a UFO tonight. It seemed to be hovering in the SE skies of Denver, CO, from my vantage point. I watched it for about 1 hr 15 minutes. From my vantage point, it appeared to be directly over the Centennial, CO, airport approx 2 miles east of my home. Since it was hovering, I thought of two things: a helicopter or a UFO. It was dark, so I couldn’t determine its shape. Time was about 7:15pm MST. This object was making only slight movements and they were erratic. Once in a while it made larger movements and faster but certainly not ”jet” speeds. The main point was the erratic movements and the right and left turns it was able to make and that made me suspicious. It could back up as well. That’s it! Nothing else to say…. I was standing outside and looked up to see one craft slowly moving upwards, then jutting to the side. I watched for about 3 minutes, when I noticed another object moving. I thought it might have been a helicopter, but realized quickly that the lights would have been strobing a lot faster. It proceded to move around at a slow speed, before jutting upwards and for about 30 seconds it was a solid white light this happens every night almost if not 1 craft, but 2 they usually do the same things

Trail (Canada), BC · Canada

While visiting my former home town of Trail, BC, I had the strangest experience on the evening of Tuesday, January 23, 2018. We were in a house in the Gulch, along Rossland Avenue, near St. Anthony's Church. Two of us were seated on a couch watching television. Starting around 9:30 p.m., my viewing was occasionally interrupted by intermittent flashes of bright blue-white light shining into the bathroom window, which faces northwest. The television is next to the hallway leading to the bathroom. The light would flash in the window for a second or two, then stop. A minute or two later, it would do it again. It kept doing this at irregular intervals. At first, I thought it was a neighbour playing a prank with a bright spotlight, and I found it quite irritating as it repeated several times, sort of a sweeping motion or flashing. But then it occurred to me that the light was shining downward toward the window, and I thought that it could be someone playing with a light on the hillside below Highway 22, or possibly lights high on a vehicle (like on top of a truck or snowplow) on the highway, except there are a lot trees that would be in the way and it would be an incredible inconvenience for someone to be hiking up there in a snowstorm. In addition, the lights were too bright to have come from vehicles as far away as the road. As the flashing persisted, I then realized that the light was coming from much higher than that, as if from the sky. That piqued my curiosity, so I went to the back door of the house to see if there was some issue with the power lines. It had been snowing heavily all day and evening, so I wondered if the storm was shorting out wires or flashing over insulators and causing arcs. I stood and looked at the lines for about half a minute, but seeing no further flashing, went back inside. By then, it was a little after 10 p.m. Shortly after returning to my place in front of the television, more lights flashed through the window, brighter than previously. So, I went into the bathroom to look through the window to see if I could find the source. Still, I couldn't see where they were coming from. My wife, who had seen me check outside and then check the bathroom, asked what I was doing, and I described the flashing lights I had seen. She then explained that she could see lights flashing on the bed throughout that time. The lights seemed to be coming in the bedroom window, which faces southwest. The ceiling light had been turned on with the dimmer switch turned down low, so she had assumed that the dimmer circuit was somehow causing the light to flicker brightly and creating an optical illusion. From my vantage point, I couldn't see into the bedroom. From her vantage point, my wife couldn't see into the bathroom. Neither of us thought to mention the peculiar lights to the other. Around 11 p.m. our area of the city began experiencing power outages lasting up to about 10 minutes each. I'm pretty sure they were caused by the heavy, wet snow that was accumulating, and not in any way connected to the flashing lights. However, each time the power went out, I looked out the windows to see how much of the neighbourhood or the city was affected. But at no time did I see any more blue-white flashes. They had ended by about 10:30 or a little earlier. The next morning, while I was shovelling the previous night's snow from our walks, a neighbour asked if we heard the "weird noises in the sky last night." I asked her what the noises were like and she described a type of whirring or trilling sound that was unlike any she had heard before. She said that this was around 9:30 when she went to have a smoke on her porch. She didn't see any lights, but she said that the sound was overhead and frightened her enough that she cut short her break and went inside for the rest of the night. When I was outside and when I looked out the windows the previous evening, I could see that the overcast sky was low on the hillsides, below 500 meters (we were at about 425 meters elevation). If there was something up there shining lights, it would have to have been pretty low to penetrate the heavy cloud cover and snow. I wonder if anyone else in the area saw or heard anything. (Please note: I filed a similar report with ufobc.ca after returning home from our trip. This is a copy of that report, edited slightly for clarity. The ufocentre.com website was not working at that time.)

Roanoke, VA

Last night, 1/21/18, at approximately 10:45 pm, I was snuggled under my heated blanket with my cat preparing for a good night’s sleep. As I laid there, I heard what sounded sort of like a helicopter engine only with a slower engine rotation and not as choppy. Very slowly the sound became increasingly louder and soon I realized it was now over my rooftop. As I listened, I knew this was unlike anything I had ever heard before, nor could I relate the slow rate of speed in which it was traveling to any aircraft I have ever known. I laid there not moving. Suddenly I felt a tremendous “drawing” sensation in my chest, like a very strong magnetic “pull”. It didn’t hurt, but my heart literally felt like it was being drawn out of my chest and I could feel a rhythmic pulsing. At that same moment, my cat flew out from under the blankets, let out a shrill and pounced on top of the blankets, staring upwards toward the ceiling. I laid very still, resisting the urge to get up. I watched as my cats eyes remained fixated toward the ceiling. This entire encounter lasted about 15 minutes as it slowly passed, but even after another 10-15 minutes I could still faintly hear it in a distance.

I was out on my patio and heard a buzzing sound or pulsing sound and wondered where it was coming from in the building (3 story condo 130 units). The sound got louder (coming toward me I guess) until the craft passed over or near the building. At first I thought it was a sound coming from the building and wondered what it was. But I soon realized it was not a building sound but something flying over head. When it passed over I heard a woosh sound. I heard no conventional engine sounds at all just the buzzing or pulsing sound. There were no lights that I could see on the craft. Very very odd to be sure.

I noticed what I thought was the ISS going over head, but was unaware of any fly over for my location. I watched it as it went by and continued to be illuminated when viewing from behind. For commercial aircraft usually lighted appearance stops after the aircraft passes. This object stayed illuminated about the same after passing my location. There was no sound that I noticed and the object was over 1 mile in altitude. It appeared while I was looking up toward the west and was headed in a east direction.

Went outside in the front of my place to dump trash bag, check for mail then tighten the mount for my flag, because of wind gusts. After I got done putting my flag up I turned to the east and seen an partially transparent object moving oddly to the southeast. I didn't hear any noise, it looked like it was floating and I could not make out what the shape of it was. All I seen was reflections coming off of it, cloudy with the sun light blocked out of the sky. It could of been metallic with a mirror type polish over it. Object was about a mile away floating around between 1000 feet to 2000 feet above the ground. My position was northwest of it, the area that it floated over is a high School. By the time I had went in and got my binoculars and back out, it had disappeared. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

Saw driving on 295 near Rt 30. At first I just thought it was an airplane, but it was way too close to the barrier. Had bright red and green lights on the underside. I saw it for a few seconds and then it was like it just disappeared. I’ve never seen anything like that from just an airplane! And then when I arrived home, I heard strange sounds in the air. Really freaked me out.

Metairie, LA

This morning around midnight, I awoke a few minutes before I heard an incredibly loud aircraft pass over my home. I live in what's considered "Old Metairie", Louisiana, near the Causeway and there's quite a bit of noise outside--day and night. With the highway being so close there's constantly the drone of cars and 18-wheelers passing, not to mention I also live about 15 minutes from the airport so I'm used to hearing planes as well.  Last night was different though. I woke up a couple minutes before it happened in a short coughing fit (it's flu season and I'm getting over it now) and laid in bed in silence with my dog before I heard what, at first, I thought was a helicopter approaching. I say it sounded like a helicopter because it was almost a pulsating whirring instead of a steady building of noise like an airplane. But my heart started to race because it seemed like it wasn't passing at all and instead was getting closer and louder until I certainly thought, at the volume it was at, there's no way it couldn't be right above the neighborhood.  I couldn't bring myself to look outside and see; for fear of seeing anything other than a plane or helicopter, and instead I laid there holding my breath waiting for the noise to subside. After about two minutes or so it did but not without me trying to justify in my head what would have taken it so long as any other aircraft takes only seconds to pass no matter how close it sounds. I'd like to add that I also grew up on a military base so I'd consider my ears incredibly accustomed to the noise of training exercises and transport at all times of the day, but I couldn't shake the feeling last night that it was something I had never heard here before.
