Le vendredi 7 novembre 2008, à 18h25, un témoin attend sa compagne pour aller au spectacle. Il sort de chez lui pour observer le ciel et aperçoit deux points lumineux fixes et inhabituels situés à l’Est. Alors que son amie arrive, les points s’éteignent lentement. L’observation aura duré quelques minutes. Deux ballons sondes à haute altitude pourraient tout à fait donner cet aspect : l’observation a lieu environ une heure après le coucher du soleil : en altitude, les ballons sont encore au soleil ; leur extinction simultanée, avec l’entrée dans l’ombre, est tout à fait logique. Cette hypothèse, tout à fait plausible, n’a toutefois pas pu être confirmée par le GEIPAN, trop longtemps après les faits. Ce cas est classé B : observation probable de deux ballons sondes.
