At approximately 12:26 am pacific time, I stepped outside my home to check that my garage door had been closed before I went to bed. I turned to step back inside and I noticed three bright orange lights in a triangle formation to the West. I thought it was peculiar they were not moving very fast at all and seemed to be hovering (we have many aircraft flying over head to and from the commercial airport, but these lights were different). Then after only a few seconds of observing them, it appeared that they began to rotate on one axis, then on another but remaining in triangular form and distance from each other. As they began to rotate in unison, two other large orange lights emerged in my view, following closely behind and in the path of the first three lights. I could now see five lights. I then ran inside, got my wife out of bed, and she then confirmed she could see what I was seeing. She witnessed the three lights in triangular formation, and the two lights following closely behind. I ran back inside, and woke up my visiting parents so they could also observe. The four of us watched as the three lights in triangular formation separated from formation and slowly rose in altitude in to the clouds illuminated by their light. As they rose we began to lose sight of them, two additional lights came in to view, and began to follow the first set of two lights. All lights were moving in the same general path, rising in altitude above the clouds and out of view. Yes it was early New Years day - No, we were not under the influence of alcohol or drugs. At 9:40pm, on December 31, 2015, four of us were sitting at the dinner table playing a board game. My husband was looking out the window and he said, "What is that?" He pointed out what he was looking at and said two of these identical objects had flown over already. The lights were inside (sic. outside?) the house, and he was sitting closest to the window, so the objects were visible beyond the reflections in the glass at night. We headed out the patio door to get a better look and in the distance we saw more of these objects. As they came into view each looked identical. There were a total of four objects that were observed outside, with a fairly large space in between. All objects were flying in single file. During this time I grabbed my cell phone off the table we were sitting at and started recording. The objects made no sound as approaching or departing our field of view. Each object emitted a white flickering light. As the last of the objects was coming into view, we all ran inside through to the front of the house to see what they were doing on the other side; all the while recording. The objects appeared to fan out in the distance and disappear from view. We approximate that the altitude of the objects is around 500 feet up and they may have been automobile sized objects, but was hard to discern as only light from the object was observed. There were no vehicle traffic sounds drowning out any sound that may have been coming from the objects. There was a dog barking in the distance and when at the front of the house there is the sound of an inflatable Christmas display on the porch. A copy of the video recorded will be mailed to your office. We have written the source of the report, requesting a copy of the video she alludes to in the report. PD

Eight to Ten bright large orange lights flying in single line formation West to East over West Boise. No aircraft noise. Lights appeared very high and disappeared as the came closer to directly overhead. Formation became erratic as it neared overhead as well. Other aircraft were in the area nearby. At first, I thought it was a helicopter, but I looked closer and it was cigar shaped. Then, following directly behind it was another craft, that was bright white. Then, once the clouds cleared, there was at least ten craft in a diamond formation. The white craft was the front point of the diamond. The other craft were pale blue in the formation. I got to look at them for at least 15 seconds, but then clouds covered them up. The first craft I saw was bigger than the rest, because I could see its shape. Its light was also brighter than the ! other craft. It could possibly be a mothership. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

The objects were circular lights in the clouds, moving in a set pattern in the sky. They would meet at a point, spread out, rotate 45 degrees, then meet again at the same point as one larger light (continuous cycle) There were 4 lights. They looked like spotlights. I was traveling west on I-90 and the formation was traveling roughly the same speed, 70 mph, in the same direction, to the North of my car. In Millbury, the formation slowed down and I lost sight of it. Wife tried to take video, but the lights were not bright enough to show up. Advertising lights? PD

I went back in with my family and started talking about what I had seen, and my Mom said she had seen them about two hours earlier when she was coming over to my home. She lives on a hill about 1.5 miles away, and had clearly seen them, unobstructed, as she drove down the hill on the way to our home. She described the exact same three stationary orange glowing objects in the exact same place and in the same triangular position in the western sky. I initially thought the objects may have been lanterns, but there is no way they were if she had seen the exact same objects two hours prior to me seeing them. I also wondered if they were planets, but they were the same size, same color and glowing, not twinkling.

I was sitting on my south facing rear patio just after sunset, when I noticed what appeared to be a satellite moving SLOWLY across the sky in a southeasterly direction. I initially observed it through the bare branches of my neighbor's large oak tree which was followed by the observation of two more similar objects travelling on parallel courses in a narrow angle of view. After several seconds, I excitedly summoned my wife to come outside to witness what I was experiencing but the objects had already disappeared. The objects looked like stars but moved like satellites. The fact that there were three of them and they all slowly moved in unison was very unnerving. I had never seen anything like it in my lifetime.

I looked away for just a second and it had moved about an inch in the sky I re-positioned to get out of the angle of a tree branch and looked threw my binoculars once more just in time for me to see the glow had transferred pointing towards the west and then the lights straight up vanished in that direction..... As we were heading west at roughly 1930 Arizona time, my husband commented on how pretty the planes looked lined up for landing. I looked and noticed there were way too many "planes" than normal. You can usually see about 5-6 stacked up for landing at PHX. There were about 20 that looked like a string of green Christmas light that were dragged across the sky going from west to northwest. They were all blinking but not regularly. No noise. They eventually spread out and faded to the north after about 5 mins.

The object was of a very bright orange color, too bright to figure out the exact shape, but they appeared to have a cylindrical body in an upright position, 3 in diagonal formation followed by 2 more and another diagonal formation in 3. They appeared flying over over north east Orlando towards south west over the Metro West area heading over Conroy Windermere and disappeared in the dark

It was around 8:30pm at night, and had just stopped raining as I got on the Mass Pike headed east off exit 2 in Lee when I looked up at a small cloud of mist in the sky that got my attention. It was a bit unusual but it was somewhat foggy and I attributed it to the weather, and as my eyes were still glancing up I suddenly saw a series of 20 or so pitch black rectangular connected objects roughly 50ft across that could be seen standing out against a night sky which was lighter, as it wasn't a very dark night. They seemed to form a straight line, train-like, flying directly above me about 75 feet up and seemed to be falling down in altitude toward me as well. It was hard to say if they were moving past me or if they were stationary and hovering or, as drove underneath, give the illusion of it being in motion going straight past me. I instinctively hit my brakes to try to slow down to get a better look but quickly I had already past it. I remember feeling a sense of relief when I was out from under it as it seemed hazardous to have something so unknown, inexplicable, and large directly above me. Being on the highway I couldn't turn around to try to get a second look unfortunately. I was only able to see it for about 5 seconds and I spent the rest of my 2hr trip to Boston trying to process what I had seen and I still can find no explanation for it. There was no illumination coming from it but there was some reflection off of it from ambient light in the area.

Went outside and saw what looked like 3 aircraft following each other, with red and white collision lights. Came from West and headed S/SE. Odd thing was they seemed to be flying low, but you couldn't hear any type of engines, propellers, etc. They seemed to loosely follow each other but were also in very close proximity to each other. I am guessing they were at approx 2500' msl...very bizarre. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

At that time we both saw a series of 5 or 6 round orbs of light, forming a perfectly straight horizontal line. The lights were bright white at first, but quickly dimmed from white, to yellow, and then red before fading from sight. At the time we were driving south on rt 23, the lights were seen to the southwest, just above the tree line.

I have been a stargazer all of my life. The night this happened, I couldn't sleep, so I decided to take my dogs outside. I was curious to know what the sky looked like that night, so I stepped off of my patio, two or 3 feet from my house, the sky was perfectly clear with no moon. My dogs had been playing, an stopped abruptly. They turned to the west, so I followed their eyes to the western horizon, and over the trees, about 30 feet above the treetops was this dark smooth shape. As I watched, two more appeared behind it, an started weaving back and forth behind the first one, which stayed constant in its path. As they passed overhead, my backyard lights lit up the undercarriages, revealing a glossy brown/gold color with three black stripes starting midway an continuing to the rear. No lights, and no sounds emanated from them as they continued westward out of sight… I followed till they were out of sight from my yard.

While outside on my balcony on the 4th level of my appartment block having a cigarette. Looking up into the night sky in a north east direction, I was stunned to see 4 round, red, coloured objects travelling in a straight line, very close to each other, and moving slowly and silently. As I watched, they stopped moving, and just hovered motionless for about 5 minutes. Then, without warning, all 4 accelerated at a blistering pace, all in the same direction, until they were out of sight in about 10 seconds. Witness provides just a telephone number for contact. PD

I noticed a dim solid white light, appearing very much like a satellite, travelling west to east, speed very similar to that of a satellite or the space station. Then in front of this light, about 1 moon distance, appeared a second solid light. This second light, traveling slightly higher and at the same speed, was the same size and intensity but over a 5 second span it would fade into view and then fade out completely. This repeated at a uniform rate until they both disappeared near the tree line near the horizon. In addition, a third light started fading in and out right next to the second light, at the same rate and speed. All three were moving at the same speed and were spaced differently between each other. I witnessed this for around 20 seconds and then called 3 others that were indoors to come out and they witnessed another 20 seconds. None of us had seen anything like this. It definitely was not a plane. I would say it was a satellite or the space station but the consistent fading in and out of light 2 and 3 has me baffled. I researched space station fly over times and it was not flying over at the time

I was driving towards Provincetown from Truro (Outer Cape Cod) after dark on Route 6. At about the mid-way point of Pilgrim Lake on Route 6, looking NNE over the dunes in the direction of Race Point beach, we saw something that most resembled a lowish bi-wing plane in the dark, with a line of small green and white lights running the long way along both wings (so the plane shape was inferred from the light positions.) The lights vasilated quickly from right to left on both "strings" of lights while what they appeared to be attached to remained stationary and in place for at least 30 seconds as we approached in the car at approx. 55 mph. After approximately 30 seconds, both strings of lights started to bank and turn away towards our right, quickly and brightly flared white/yellow for a few seconds, and faded to a very small, dim, neon green point of light while making a very fast u-turn. At the end of the banking u-turn, it flew off at a slight downward angle at a very high speed, went behind the highest visible dunes, and was gone. We really have no idea what it was.

Early morning, November 24th, 2015, after taking pictures of the moon setting over Farmington Bay in Utah, I was walking back to my car when I noticed a very faint, what looked like a cloud puff in the sky. It was odd because there were no other clouds in that part of the sky. This was just a lone circle cloud, very faint, sitting above the mountains to the east of me. So faint that it would not have been noticeable to someone unless they were doing some observing of the sky that morning. When I first noticed it I'm guessing it was approximately 30 degrees from horizon. Because it was so faint to see I wasn't able to take video of it. Instead, I used my Nikon D90 to shoot long exposures at high ISO. I used the built-in sequencer to shoot 9 shots in a row for each sequence and I adjusted the exposure time somewhat between sequences. Because I was finished shooting the moonset and was walking a few miles to get back to my car I wasn't very interested in exploring this very faint puff in the sky. But I decided to shoot a few shots and then look more closely at them when I got home. So, after the first 20 or so shots I started walking back to the car again. I walked for another 13 minutes before I paused to review the picture that I took on the screen on my camera. When I zoomed into my shots I noticed the three distinct puffs and then realized that this was something unusual. https://flic.kr/s/aHsmafaWoN I then set up to shoot as many shots as I could before the sun came up. This is why the latter shots look like the object has scattered more until the sun came up and washed it out completely. You'll notice that the object seems to move at about the same speed as the stars around it which suggests that it must be a considerable distance from the earth. I have no idea what this thing was. I admit, it doesn't look very much like a flying object but more like some kind of space weather anomaly. Not sure what to make of it.

I just got home from work and was walking our dog when I first noticed the 4 lights in a perfect horizontal formation. The 4 orangeish lights were spaced apart perfectly. The lights were tracing each other. Meaning the first light on the left would come on then go off and the second would come on and so on until it got to the last light and the pattern would start again. It did this tracing for about 2 minutes. After those 2 minutes it went to only a single light that would pulse on and off (I was able to capture this on my phone). This only lasted maybe a minute. Then it was completely gone. No more lights to be seen. The lights appeared to be less than 5 miles away and there weren't any audible noises you would expect a flying craft to make.
