Dans la nuit du 5 août 2009 vers 2h du matin deux personnes observent depuis leur domicile un objet circulaire particulièrement lumineux. C'est en filmant le phénomène que le témoin principal constate un très lent déplacement horizontal de l'objet. La configuration astronomique et un appel aux témoins confirment que l'observation a été faite un soir de pleine lune. Le "phénomène" était à la gauche de la pleine lune. La configuration astronomique montre une très probable observation de la planète jupiter particulièrement visible en cette période de l'année (magnitude apparente -2,8 avec son diamètre angulaire maximum de 48 arc seconde).
