Le 23 août 2009 entre 18h15 et 18h30, des personnes observent très haut dans le ciel, le déplacement de quatre points lumineux. Ceux-ci forment des figures géométriques intriguant les observateurs. Un seul témoin contactera le GEIPAN. Ce témoignage est en fait peu étrange, et la description trop sommaire pour une étude sérieuse. Il peut s'agir tout simplement de quatre ballons gonflés à l'hélium, et réfléchissant le soleil. Les formes géométriques ne seraient que le résultat des déplacements selon le vent. Le GEIPAN n'a toutefois pas d'élément concret pour étayer cette hypothèse. Ce cas n'a malheureusement été traité qu'en 2012, trop tard pour rechercher des lancements de ballons scientifiques ou amateurs. Faute de données précises, le GEIPAN classe ce cas "C" par manque d'information. [GEIPAN classification C — Manque d'informations fiables]
