I was outside in the outskirts of downtown Lowell, MA, last evening when I saw two bright, red lights in the northeast. My friend also witnessed what I saw and I pointed out the lights to a couple of other people. The lights were probably 10-15(?) degrees up from the horizon. They did not move. After a minute or so three other red lights appeared near them. They stayed there, seemingly not moving for a few minutes, and then slowly faded away one by one. The lights were red, maybe a bit orangey and roughly the same apparent brightness as Mars or Jupiter as they appear this summer. I took two photos, which unfortunately, are poor quality. However, I was able to plot a line on a map showing which direction the lights came from using buildings beneath the lights in the photos and where I was standing as references. The lights appeared above a facet of a building I can see on Google maps, so I believe the line of sight I made on the map is pretty accurate. I could not tell the distance, but I believe they were at least some miles away. I am aware that red lights can be military aircraft. To be fair Lawrence Municipal Airport and Pease Air Force Base are somewhat near the line of sight I plotted on the map. However, there were no other colors and the lights didn’t move or blink. Also, they didn't seem to be as deep a red as lights on military craft. They also didn’t line up with the runways of the two airports. They didn’t go behind clouds or the buildings nearby, they just faded out. I have been an avid sky watcher all of my life. From watching airplanes, to viewing planets and meteor showers, I am always looking up and telling friends about celestial events. I am fifty years old, and have never seen anything I could not explain before. I recently saw a very bright light traveling overhead and some Googling proved that it was the International Space Station flying over the Northeast. What I saw last night was not usual. We spoke via telephone with the witness, and he sounded to us to be quite sincere, and serious-minded. We suspect that he is a quite capable, and highly reliable, witness. PD

Took my dogs outside for their last bathroom break. Two red slow strobing lights either in formation or one large craft with two lights. Stars disappeared behind as it went past. Very slow moving, and I could hear the airplane which was in the sky coming from the south west. The object(s) was/were moving in a steady progression west. All the crickets and tree frogs seemed to stop chirping as this object moved in the sky over our home.

I was taking the trash out and looked to the east and saw 5 lights, 2 green, 2 red and 1 white. They moved over the sky heading west at a somewhat fast pace, as they passed behind a cloud they went into a 5 point pentagon shape and then faded out. I'm not sure what it could of been.

Amazing lighted kites on the beach caused me 2-3 minutes of excitement. They were very high and as they were brought closer to our rental unit we realized they were very large kites. They could have easily been mistaken for a pair of UFO's. I have video and photos. Apparently kites, not UFOs. PD

My wife and I were driving around on 40th towards Harrison Blvd trying to put our son to sleep, when we saw dragon-like wavy lights on the right in the southeast. At first we thought we had seen fireworks but the lights panned a very big stretch of the sky. They moved from S to SE. It was a wavy formation with bright orange and faint red streaks. It seemed to cover a very long distance very quickly. The wavy formation disappeared as it reached far SE corner of the sky. While we are willing to consider this as a UFO phenomena, our rationale was that it might be fireworks or drones that the local Air Force Base maybe flying around. It just moved to quickly, silently and strangely across a very big span. I'm hoping the others in the area saw it too. Chinese rocket re-entry. PD

Night time. Tight formation of 6 to 10 streaming crafts of light. Speed began to slow as they separated across the mountain tops. 5 witnesses in the car. Lights began bright and diminished as they separated from the tight formation. To slow to be a meteor, to many and to tight to be a helicopter or flying aircraft. Re-entering space debris. PD

Was driving a truck eastbound on I-84 towards mountain home. The actual UFO looked to be about where Mountain Home, ID, should have been and maybe even beyond that. I was just around mile marker 70 when I spotted what appeared to be two darker orange glowing objects, both leaving a trail of the same orange streak that seemed to also sort of change to white intermittently. They were coming from the South and flew next to each other in an arc towards the horizon in a North East direction. The entire episode lasted what I would estimate to be between 2-4 minutes in total. Initially, I thought they were jets. Because there is an airfare base in Mountain Home, but these were too colorful (in my opinion) to be jet streams. They were moving fast enough that I didn't think them to be commercial airliners, but still too slow to be meteorites or shooting stars. As the two objects came across my peripheral, they seemed to change from orange to white. Finally, as they were moments from the horizon. The bigger object (or maybe just the closer one) seemed to burst a green glow from the front of it. Something that also made it seem to accelerate in a downward motion towards the horizon. As the flash of green occurred, the smaller object of the two (or maybe just the farther one) seemed to gain momentum and pass the larger object. As it did so, objects became increasingly brighter (orange/white), and trailing the farther object (which at this point seems to be roughly the same size as the larger) has at least 2 white dots following behind it. So in a line, the farthest object that now appears to be the same size and ahead of the close one, and behind it a least 2, possibly 3 white dots following behind in it's orange trail. Close behind is the second original object with it's own trail. Could not distinguish any objects in the second one's trail...mostly out of excitement. Seconds after these extra objects were noticed, the whole formation of lights and trails disappeared behind what might have been mountains over the far North East horizon. I'm not opposed to constructive criticism in any way, so if this sounds like a normal happenstance involving meteorites or something similar please let me know. I've looked into videos of shooting stars and things but haven't seen anything closely resembling what I experienced this last night driving. Chinese rocket re-entry. PD

I live in Prescott Valley,Arizona about 9:30 Pm, on July 27, 2016, I was standing in my backyard looking towards the northwest it appeared to me as though there were two aircraft side by side but the sound of the engine was like the sound of a fan. It veered more toward the east and slowly glided, as though it was descending When I first saw it, it looked like the headlight was very round like a flashlight then there was at least a thousand feet of what appeared to be very hot metal the length of the craft. I could hear the motor it sounded like a fan was on. It seemed to be descending towards the East. It was huge. It seemed as though it was 1,000 to 2,000 feet away from my subdivision, here in Granville. I thought at first, they were searching for something because of the round light and it was flying so very low, then I realized the engine sound was not of a helicopter OR a small airplane. Perfectly seen from Route 118 South, in open fields. Triangle formations of red/white strobes sitting perfectly still. Occaisionally one will blink out, and dart across the sky into a different formation. There seems to be one centralized light in the North, and to the west of that, at least 1 Triangle formation and 2 individual formations.

I heard a thud around 10:30pm and there have been things disturbed around my home lately so I quickly shut off the lights to look out into the backyard. The yard appeared undisturbed, but then a strip of green lights very high up in the sky caught my attention, moved sideways in an orderly manner at first, and then in a quick motion never seen before by any airplane or helicopter. It then seemed to turn so I could get a better view of it. I know this sounds crazy, but it seemed to be letting me know that it knew I had seen it… sort of like a confirmation. Then it quickly descended, then darted upward and went behind a tree. I tried to dismiss it in my mind as a drone so I’ve spent the last hour or so calming myself down and researching on the net. No drone flies that high or moves that way. This was a true sighting. I didn’t think this would ever happen to me. Glad there was someone to report it to. Wondering if anyone else in the neighborhood saw i! t. They’d have to be looking up at precisely the same time as me because it was only in view for approximately 10-15 seconds. UFO sighting. 7-21-2016. 2300 hours MST. Over Missoula, MT, looking south into a clear dark sky. Clouds low on the horizon did not obstruct view. A single white star-looking light (non-blinking, high elevation) appeared to break apart into three separate non-blinking lights. The lights rapidly, as of being repelled from one another, moved it three separate directions that originated from a single point in the sky. The brightest light was moving straight north. The two other lights (both white) were moving in an almost 33° angle from one another. One was heading south east the other in a south west direction. They initially were moving at what appeared to be an extremely high rate of speed, but from my location they both appeared to slow over a 10 to 15 second time frame before becoming too faint to see. There speed seemed to be equivalent to one another. Perhaps the other two lights were jettisoned from the northbound light. The northbound light remained bright white (non-blinking) and appeared to keep a steady speed. I watched it for almost 2 minutes before it was out of sight. It clearly was moving much faster than other air traffic in the sky. I didn't hear any sounds. I was out walking the dogs on a dark walking path in a non-illuminated area with an unobstructed view of the sky.

Looking down our street I saw a red steady glowing light moving in the air coming from the North East and moving right over our property heading South West. As I watched it, ahead of it were two more. They were spaced about a half block apart and following the same path. I dashed in the house and hollered for my husband. When he came out, he got to see two of them. I saw a total of five. Absolutely no sound came from them. I have cataracts so they appeared to me like fire red star burst balls like the size of headlights on the hwy.. My husband saw a slight square or triangle shape glowing steady fire-red. We were just amazed. We have never seen anything like it.

In July of 2016, my girlfriend and I were invited to our friends' house on Greenwood Lake, a nine mile long lake in Orange County, NY. My friends' house is right on the lake, with a large deck overlooking it. This was probably our tenth dinner invitation at their home. Another couple was there as well. Dinner was on the deck as usual. After sundown, the sky was fabulous. Fifty miles away from the lights of NYC there's very little light pollution so it's a great place to watch the cosmos. This night was clear without a cloud in the sky. One of my friends' guests and I talked about the amazing sky over the lake and about constellations. I told him I didn't know much about them but I had a Sky app on my iPad. I gave him my iPad and went back to the discussion on 1950s be-bop or something. About ten minutes later he asked me what that constellation was. He pointed over the horizon across the lake. I spotted it, took the iPad and pointed it at the three bright stars he indicated and didn't find it either. I said it was just three stars so it might not be a constellation at all. Maybe that's why it didn't make the app. "But they're moving!" I looked again and, sure enough, they were, albeit very slowly. They were moving due west and they were moving independent of each other. They had a roughly triangular formation, with a “lead” object but they seemed to be moving at different and varying speeds relative to one another. They were bright, solid white, showed no navigation beacons and made no sound. I couldn't tell how high they were but a passenger jet heading due north, probably flying a polar route to Asia, flew into view and I could tell by its size that it was flying at at least 30,000 feet. It flew under these lights. At this point, dinner party conversation ceased as all six pairs of eyes were glued to what we were witnessing. All I heard were murmured comments like “Are they... drones?” and “Do you hear anything?” It was evident by now, even to our hosts who had lived for 40 years on that lake and seen hundreds of meteor shows, that this wasn’t a normal celestial event. The lights were stopping and starting which means they could hover and no rotary wing aircraft flies that high. So they definitely weren't helicopters and they weren't drones. Maybe they were weather balloons and the light was actually the sun over the horizon reflecting off their mylar skins? But these balloons were moving due west, which is contrary to the jet stream. I also knew from my recently-deceased older brother who was president of an amateur ballooning club in Colorado that they no longer used mylar for balloons. Mylar used to be used to bounce radar signals off a balloon to track its position but modern balloons carry their own telemetry now. My brother used to build them. So they weren't aircraft and they weren't balloons. Someone said "ball lightning?" I didn’t know but I did look it up later. Ball lightning is plasma and usually associated with the highly charged air around thunderstorms and the sky was clear with no storms forecast. I saw ball lightning when I was a kid but I'd never heard of ball lighting being this high or lasting this long. We had been watching this for over five minutes. Suddenly my girlfriend exclaimed, "Look at that!" She pointed to the horizon across the lake where we'd first seen these lights but this one light was very low to the ground. Everybody gasped because it was so much closer and it glowed bright red, like a Roman candle. It definitely wasn’t a conventional aircraft. She said she saw it come up from behind a low mountain about two miles away. I saw it hovering over the mountain. Then it shot straight up, stopped for about 15 seconds around 2500 feet AGL and hovered again. Then it slowly moved north about what I estimated at that distance might be a half mile. It hovered again. I looked back at the three lights and saw that they had suddenly turned due north. The red object shot up at extremely high speed and in the direction of the three lights. By “high speed” I mean that it disappeared into the noise of the star canopy in less than two seconds. When I looked back at the three-light formation it had also disappeared. I’m not a believer in space alien visitations. I’m not even a believer in secret government technology as advanced as what I saw. I’m still not. I'm not saying what I, rather we, saw. I have no idea what it was. I just know what it wasn't, which was anything familiar to me and I'm an aircraft junkie. I think the rapid movements of the last object I saw would have killed a human occupant. No, there were no pharmaceuticals at the party and drinking was light and social because most of us were driving home on those dark, deer-infested back roads. We’ve since spoken with each other about this event only a couple of times but I know my hosts are uncomfortable with the subject, as if they were subjected to a mass psychosis event and don’t want to be regarded as public kooks. I told my brother what I'd seen. He used to be a Navy fighter jock (A4s) during the Vietnam War. He told me about a mysterious three-light formation he'd seen over the Spratly Islands in the early 1970s when he was stationed at Cubi Point in the Philippines. What he described was almost identical to what we saw. What was remarkable was that he never told me about it until I brought it up, as if he too was embarrassed by it. He never filed the sighting in an official report either but told me that lots of pilots had seen stuff like this on night flights. You didn’t report it unless you wanted to be grounded.

Hello. My name is ((name deleted)). I am almost 32 years old and have been a resident of Cape Coral/Pine Island, Florida, for about 28 years now. I like to think that I know the area very well and I am familiar with most normal flight paths around. What myself and two other people saw in the night sky on July 8, 2016, was not normal in the least. I was driving home with a friend around 10:00 - 10:30 PM EST on this Friday night when I just happened to glance over to my left. At first I didn't think much about it. It was only 4 lights at first. As I kept looking over to my left, paying closer and closer attention to them, there were suddenly more of them, and they were grouping up with each other somehow. I immediately pulled over into a gas station parking lot and parked the car facing South toward the lights. By this time it had been about 4 minutes since I first noticed them. After watching these things for a few minutes just the two of us, another car pulled up next to me, asking if we had any idea what these strange lights were. He, too, had a cellphone camera out, with no luck in getting any sort of video or picture of them. Now the 3 of us are watching these things move around and witnessing their amazing and otherworldly maneuvering capabilities for a good 6-10 minutes until they started to disappear. They disappeared one at a time over a period of about 4-5 minutes, the first two going straight up into the sky, no sounds or big light trails to note. Another would start to move more noticeably, a couple of them eventually taking a more normal flight pattern and heading to the South or Southwest, fading away til gone. The others seemed to just fade away into the dark night sky, again, always one at a time. After a total of about 15 minutes, they were all gone. THE only video that came out with ANYTHING will prove only that someone else, someone not in the car with us originally, stopped for the same reason we did... To safely witness what I know was an amazing atmospheric anomaly! It was an experience that I will never forget and I am more interested in the unknown now than I've ever been. looking up at the stars with my friend in Traverse City, Michigan, a group of about 6 soft lights were darting around the sky, it seemed to have lasted for quite a few minutes. Then there were 2 left and they were definately following each other in a very fast pattern, in and out of a long cloud. Then they two disappeared. Some time of energy that we can not explain. Breaking crowd from fireworks, looked in the sky to the left and notice a formation of orange circles, very distinct formation, stayed for a while. Crowd of people walking as I pointed everyone said that has to be something people will report. When we approache our car, the objects in the sky were gone. The sky was a fairly clear sky and the orange round objects were in an exact formation.

My daughter and son was out in the front of our home with the dog and as I was walking from the back of the house to meet her she was telling me about a plane she was watching and asking me if it was a plane or not. I looked up in the sky and saw a golden orange craft slowly flying in the sky, but to the northern part of the sky there was an actual plane flying and I showed her the difference between the two. Then my husband was coming up the driveway to meet us and we showed him what we were watching. Then only a min or two later 2-3 other crafts with the same color glow joined in after the first one stopped and the lights dimmed to look as if it was a faint star off in the distance. My cell phone is broken and was unable to capture anything but below is basically the shape I remember it forming in the sky before each craft’s lights faded to a very dim light. You would have to have been watching the entire time to see they were still there or would think! was a star in the distance. The dog was starting to whine for a min or so while we were watching and then we all headed inside kinda freaked out.

Multiple triangular shaped craft in the east moving slowly from south to north. very bright red orbs that stayed in a equi-distance which suggests a solid form. I have a two minute video of the whole thing as does my son. Driving on Sierra highway towards Rosamond, I'm looking out the window and look towards the mountains that on the other side it's Bakersfield and at the top of the mountains about 50 to 100 feet above, I saw 1 bright reflective object, just staying still in the air, I thought it was a plane on coming, but as I stay looking for it for several minutes it starts to just look more silvery and metallic and about 8 minutes of it being still then after it starts to look like if it's disappearing and then as soon as I think it's gone from view, orange bright slightly diagnal light starts to show from behind the mountain and slowly for the next 10 or so minutes the bright object shows how long it is I'd say about maybe 40 feet long and not only is it the object I saw but more on the right of it start to appear, the same orange bright diagnal shape light, my friend says look there is a dome on top of the light do u see it, I couldn't see it, but I saw about 4 or 5 of ! those light beams the exact same size appearing over the mountain, appearing as if they were always there, I record but none of it is clear on my video just the words and audio of what me and my friends are describing. I get to where I needed to go and after about 5 minutes I come back and look at the same spot and there is nothing, if it was chemtrails they sure would have been there still, but when I look I see nothing that I was looking at 5 minutes earlier, all I see is the plain blue sky.
