Le 1er juillet 2012 aux environs de 23h un témoin observe le passage silencieux de plusieurs lumières oranges qui se déplacent sur une trajectoire légèrement courbe vers l' Est. Ces lumières changent de direction brusquement pour prendre la direction du Nord avant de disparaitre rapidement. La description du témoin correspond en tous points à l'observation d'un passage de lanternes thaïlandaises : couleur orange, déplacement en douceur et en silence selon le vent (de Sud Ouest vers le Nord Est, variable faible s'affaiblissant, voir relevé météo), et disparition au bout de quelques minutes. Le GEIPAN n'a pas recherché le lieu possible du lâcher. (Peut-être le Parc du prieuré, à la fin du Bô Festival ?) Ce cas est classé "B" : observation probable de lanternes thaïlandaises.
