I observed 4 bright orange objects flying in a straight line in a southerly direction. They appeared to be glowing as if on fire but left no trail at all. They flew very steadily and consistently. They flew at an altitude of a small airplane. They were in the northeast night sky. They made no sound.

Coon Rapids, MN
There were several craft coming from the North West sky in Coon Rapids, MN. They were basically in a formation as far as travelling through the sky. Some were single and some flew in pairs or in triple formation. They were glowing bright orange almost like fireballs. They were at a fairly low level and not at a great rate of speed. Although as they passed overhead towards the Blaine Airport (Southern direction) their speed increased, the brightness of the "fireball" dimmed and they pretty much vanished into the night sky. They were totally silent. Stealth silent. I tried to get their attention by the flashing light on my phone, but it did not really seem to affect the pattern they were travelling, or speed. They pretty much paid no attention to it. We stood outside hoping to see more flying over but no more were seen. Very interesting.

I was out working looked up in the sky as normal. I saw what I that was plane or something. Then realized there was no blinking lights. Also our planes come from the South or South West. These were coming from the East mountains. I then took out my cell phone and started recording. My camera quality was poor so it did not capture what I was seeing. The colors red, orange, and purple. The orbs started off low then went higher. They all went south then out of camera view the shot up out of sight. I uploaded the video to youtube.

I was smoking a cigarette on my front porch and facing South - South/West. Looking up over the two story building across from me I saw what I thought was a plane or helicopter with orange lights. As I looked closer, I could not see a blinking light required by aircraft and noticed there was 3 hazy orange lights. The craft was coming straight towards my location in a normal flight pattern. I only found the craft to be out of the usual when it began to slow down and without making any normal sounds or lose any altitude, it didn't make any sound but it was quite a distance away so that didn't mean a whole lot at this time. After slowing down it started to drift diagonally to the South, the three orange lights still facing me. At this time I was thinking to myself this is not normal for an airplane or helicopter. The object then slowly moved directly to its right or East, again the 3 lights still facing my direction. The lights had a orange haze around them and! then it started going in reverse and dropping altitude, these movements all happening in a smooth slow pattern. It didn't last long but it was definitely strange as it disappeared or fell out of view.

Cody, WY
Saw very bright flash streak above me from south to north, it disappeared before reaching north horizon so i theorize it burned itself out. Currently visiting family in Cody area, was awake because retrieved glass of water in kitchen and amazed by brightness of stars in crisp clear night, so stepped outside onto porch to really take in the beautiful new years night sky. Was outside mere moments before saw the fireball, felt the timing of event was very ironic and remember similar feeling on August 11, around 8:30pm in North Long Beach CA. Decided to report this fireball tonight partially because it feels odd that i experienced these sightings within moments of stepping outside because an urge to see night sky overcomes me. The fireball tonight in Cody, WY, region was large, quick and very very bright.

The object hovered over our street originating from the south. It flew in a quarter circle pattern over the convent property across from us as it dimmed its light and dissapeared. Two identical objects followed after the first object in the same pattern at the same speed and dissapeared at the exact same spot as the first. The only conclusion I can come to, what ever they were, they must have been drawn by the fireworks. They appeared to have been observing them as they hovered over our street at a very low altitude. I never saw an aircraft, nor did I hear an engine sound or propeller sounds and it made no contrail as it flew by. I only saw three separate individual orange redish lights in the sky. And the weather conditions for 01/01/2017 at 12:58am central time in San Antonio TX is, Weather conditions were clear Temperature 48 degrees farenheight Dew point was 46 degrees Humidity was 94% Barometric pressure was 29.83 Wind speed was 0 mph from the north. Precipitation was 0 inches And visibility was 10 miles. We spoke via telephone with the source of the report, and he sounded to us to be quite serious-minded. We suspect that he is a very capable and reliable witness. PD

As I was watching fireworks last night I saw a bright red orb light fly then hover in the sky last night. At a distance it looked like a plane or helicopter. There are many planes as we are in the flight path of Mesa Gateway Airport. It flew from a far distance from the south then stopped and hovered above me. It was a bright red silent light and I could not see behind the light. It was hovering so close I went in to get my high powered flashlight to shine it to see what it was. Before I could shine, it took off west to the night sky almost as it had predicted I had a light. I presumed or was a drone but when it flew off it was much too high, too fast and flew too far away to be a home drone. An hour later I could hear fighter jets to the norteast. We also have plenty of them fly over so the sound is familiar.

Balls of fire went from a spot on the horizon and came up into the sky in a straight line. One after another, a small gap between a couple of times. Four in the sky in a line at once. Went to a specific point in the sky and then disappeared one after the other. Fireworks were going off and that was what we were watching. After the started this event started to happen and coninued several minutes after the end of the fireworks.

Anchorage, AK
Three hours after witnessing one large, bright, orange orb travelling south-westerly over mid-town Anchorage, I sighted upon three identical orbs a few miles (in my estimation) above the ted stevens international airport property. These were moving around in separate, oblong paths at casual speeds, with sometimes one or another momentarily breaking away from its path to perform a zig-zag or to move somewhat farther afield, and every few minutes all of them slowly dimming and returning to full brightness. After about 20 minutes of watching they simultaneously dimmed out for good as a routine aircraft was making its approach from the Chugach Mountains. AT ABOUT 11:00 PM, I HEARD A SCREAM EMINATE FROM OUTSIDE OF MY WINDOW. IT WAS NEW YEARS SO I COULD HEAR FIREWORKS OUTSIDE AND THOUGHT I'D JUST TAKE A LOOK. WHEN I LOOKED OUT, I NOTICED THREE FIREBALL/ORBS FLYING TOGETHER IN A TRIANGLE SHAPE. THEY WERE MOVING PRETTY QUICKLY, QUICKER THAN AN AIRPLANE DOES. THEY WERE MOVING NORTHWEST IN THE SKY AND THEN ONE DISAPPEARED, LEAVING 2. THE 2 THEN SHORTLY THEREAFTER TURNED BLACK AND DISAPPEARED.

Flames diminished, but object still glowed orange.. like campfire embers in the sky. Changed course and flew south, slowly gaining altitude. If the report, from an anonymous source, is legitimate, we assume that the witness meant a nighttime sighting, at 23:59 hrs.. However, we have no means for contacting the source, in order to confirm the time. We have amended the time above. PD

It was around 9:20 a.m. There were dark clouds settling in. I could see a bright orange light coming through a break in the clouds (approx. NW in the sky). It wasn’t moving. I thought what a strange light. I kept staring at for a few seconds then blinked a couple of times and it was gone. About ten seconds later a black jet/plane flew across the same area, moving in from the right. Initially I thought the light I saw was coming from the jet/plane. Then logic kicked in and I knew from seeing thousands of planes and jets flying in the sky my entire life that during the day, even if it’s cloudy, a plane or jet doesn’t need a bright light to be seen in the sky. The plane that I saw after the light disappeared had very low lighting, if any. Besides, the plane moved in seconds AFTER I saw the orange light. I know I was seeing clearly as I had been stopping to admire woodpeckers and blue birds in the neighborhood park.

I just saw 2-3 looked like stars, not a plane, in the west sky. The one top left "joined" the one bottom right. Top left one was orange/red, bottom right was white. Looked like a haze or object in the center, more like a haze Til I ran for my phone to take a picture they were gone Never saw anything like that in my life I've been seeing the large bright "star" in the SW when no other are visible but this tonight really shocked me I've never reported anything like this in my life It really was something I've never seen before I think military base to the west but not sure This was NOT a flare I'm still thinking about what I saw!

What I initially noticed was a large orange light that was kind of glowing rather than blinking like normal aircraft... As I continued to watch the craft fly from right to left (south toward the north) about 50 degrees from the horizon I realized it's too big to be a Chinese lantern (about half the size of a dime held at arms length) and is not any kind of aircraft I am familiar with.. no other lights just one large glowing fireball. It was flying at a normal airplane speed.. maybe a little slower and produced no sound. About a minute later I see a second object flying from the same direction.. It to goes by then a third, a fourth.. I watch ten orange fireballs go by. They were flying at different altitudes and distances, some are larger some smaller and have slightly different 'shape'. The tops produced a slight halo of a lighter shade of orange. I ran into the house and grabbed my iphone and came back outside in time to film the final one go by. I think it was 11 total but it may have been 12. It was like a ufo parade. Very strange. I'm certain others must have seen it as they flew across the whole of east and north San Antonio. After they left a couple airplanes, possibly military, flew past the general area.

We crowded around the window staring at it. The object was higher than our neighbors', but just was there. Not moving up or down but was just there. We stared at it for 3:00 min., not doing anything, because we didn't know what we were looking at. “Take a picture.” My mom said, quickly. I snapped a shot with flash mode on, not realizing. I tried to get another picture, but it disappeared. It like began fading into the darkness of night. The size you could tell was big

We were on our way to O'hare airport to drop off my daughter. It was getting dark..we were turning off of 90 onto the road that leads into the airport. All of a sudden we saw a greenish white fireball drop out of the sky. It appeared, fell in somewhat of an arc and disappeared. We only saw one. A 10-second meteor is a very unusual occurrence. PD

I am a navy vet who worked on aircraft. These objects did not move in a fashion consistent with any hovering or moving, jet, helicopter, or missile. The objects emitted no lights in the fashion of aircraft (i.e. strobe lights/navigation lights)

I was driving last night on a dark portion of the the highway, some trees on either side of the highway but the sky above me was uncovered. The sky was mostly clear, you could see the stars clearly. In front of me I thought I saw a shooting star, so I looked up, but it was closer and larger than any comet or shooting star I’ve seen and lasted for a while. There was a bright green round core, and a silver/green trail of light behind it, like a comet would have, but much larger and closer. It lasted for about 4-6 seconds, was traveling very fast, and then disappeared quickly before it reached the horizon.

Escorting guests to their Golf Cart after an evening of Bridge. Hovering silently overhead a couple of thousand ft up was an orange colored flaming appearing ball. At first we thought we were looking at a Hot Air Balloon that was constantly firing and lighting up. Got some good bino's from house but could discern no definition on the object's shape. After a few n minutes the object ascended rapidly to the SW and disappeared. Witness's include a retired Airline Naval/Airline pilot. a senior retired USAF officer, both males, and a retired athletic teacher.

Above the north-eastern horizon, my husband and I witnessed a bright craft jetting straight upward into the sky. As it was halfway into the sky, another smaller jet type of craft appeared above the brighter one below. When it appeared, the brighter object started chasing the smaller object, then the smaller object appeared to shoot out deflector projectiles that exploded on the larger object below. The bigger object was not phased by the smaller objects projectiles and continued to persue the smaller object until both were above the atmosphere and out of sight.

We were just in the house, watching Netflix, and we had the sliding glass door cracked to the backyard. I saw a bright orange flash of light and then we heard a very LOUD explosion and it shook the house and woke up one of the kids. The alarms starting going off next door at the Good Will reception center. It was at Southern and Unser Blvd. We have friends that work at Wendy's across Unser and we called them and they said they also felt and heard the explosion, and it rumbled the floors there, too. We called the neighbor next door and they confirmed that they too heard and felt it. We saw about 10 police cars rolling around over at the Walmart and by the Good Will back entrance shining spot lights. Today I went to look for an impact spot? I found nothing!! I suppose they found nothing too? We do not know who called them? But I bet some report was made?
