Le 9 septembre 2012 vers minuit, un groupe de trois amis observent les étoiles filantes et sont intrigués par une étoile à forte luminosité qui semblent se déplacer assez rapidement dans toutes les directions suivie par une autre lumière de plus faible intensité. Un seul témoignage est recueilli. La carte du ciel montre la planète Jupiter et l'étoile Aldébaran à la position décrite par les témoins. Les mouvements de ces points lumineux décrits par les témoins ne sont évidemment pas conformes à l'hypothèse d'observation d'astres fixes. L'hypothèse d'une illusion autocinétique est avancée pour expliquer ce témoignage : on voit que cette zone du ciel est peu peuplée d'autres étoiles brillantes, ce qui rend cette hypothèse plausible. Le GEIPAN classe ce cas "B" : observation de Jupiter et Aldebaran, probablement observés avec une illusion autocinétique. [GEIPAN classification B — Phénomène identifié non indiqué]
