Le 9 mars 2013 vers 20h20 un témoin observe le passage DDO-N et silencieux d'une quinzaine de points lumineux blancs dans le ciel. Ils disparaissent cachés par le paysage. Le comportement de cette série d'objets volants lumineux est tout à fait conforme au vent local, de secteur Sud-Ouest à Ouest, variable (Voir relevé Meteociel. Les relevés de stations proches : St Jean de Vedas, Aniane donnent des directions un peu différentes, mais toujours avec vent faible). La couleur blanche indiquée par le témoin évoque plus les ballons lumineux que les lanternes thaï. Les ballons lumineux sont des ballons gonflés à l'hélium et contenant une petite lampe alimentée par une très petite pile. Le GEIPAN n'a pas fait de recherches pour trouver l'auteur de ce lâcher de ballons ou lanternes ; on constate que la grande zone résidentielle située au Sud-Ouest de l'observateur doit être l'origine du lâcher. Le GEIPAN classe ce cas "B" : observation probable de ballons lumineux ou lanternes volantes. [GEIPAN classification B — Phénomène identifié non indiqué]
