At around 11:00 pm, I noticed some bright, white flashing lights coming from inside the forest behind my grandparent's home. After looking harder, I observed 3 glowing pairs of red lights just beyond the tree line. The flashing was not lightning, as it was dead silent, with almost no clouds in the sky. When I tried to capture the event on camera, nothing would show up and the screen would go black. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

July 12, 2014, 10:05pm, Location: Cathedral City, CA, (near Palm Springs) I witnessed a bright bluish-white light traveling from the NE to the SW across the night sky tonight. The direction was strange because there are no planes or anything that I’ve ever saw travel in that direction. It was very high up, but I don’t believe it was in space, because the light was rather large, and a little bigger and definitely much brighter than any airplane. When the light/object was almost directly over my head, the light suddenly went out. I didn’t see anything anymore. It was a clear night tonight, so I should have been able to see something moving, but nothing – it just vanished! I do see strange stuff out here in the desert once in a while, when I go out at night, but most of it I never report.

New Orleans, LA
A friend and I were in the front yard when we saw a supremely fast object travel from one side of the New Orleans sky to the other--until it went out of sight. It was traveling at an incredible speed, easily thousands of miles per hour with absolutely no sound. We thought it was a comet or shooting star but it was too low for that. Also no trail or smoke and it appeared to maintain a constant speed. Imagine an object going from one end of the sky to the other in 3-4 seconds! Also as it moved past I noticed a slights green and blue hue. I've seen plenty of shooting stars and this was not a shooting star or a satelite (it was low). We were absolutely in awe at the speed of this object! Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

Description: As I was waiting for the “super” moon to rise, a light appeared from the west. Originally thought light was a meteor entering Earth’s atmosphere but after a couple seconds realized it was something else. Light crossed the sky above heading directly east at a very high speed and at a high elevation. Light seemed to slow down over eastern horizon before I lost it in the tree line. Luminosity of light matched that of most of the stars that night.

At first glance this looked like a "shooting star." A blue-ish green light was seen flying north east at high speed and a relatively low altitude. The craft either had two lights (both the same color) or three were two close flying crafts. The craft(s) was completely silent, flying faster than any craft, drone or commercial, that has flown before. We followed it until it disappeared past the tree line.

Near full moon, 2 bright green silent round lights streaked across approx. 2 acres, very fast, went out up in the sky as quickly as appearing. Maybe as high as a helicopter but very fast and fluid.

Approx. 21:15 on Saturday 07/12/14 a group of people were at a restaurant standing outside talking. A very quick occurrence happened where 2 white lights flew by, from East to West. This was in North Austin on Burnet Rd. They crossed about 1/3 of the sky in 3-4 seconds. They were 2 bright white lights, on a straight horizontal path. Clearly not meteors or aircraft. They were too fast for either, had no tails or trails, and were bright white, looking similar to car headlights in spacing. They shot across the sky as if they were chasing each other. We lost sight of them as they went behind a sign and did not appear on the other side of it. They would have shown up as the sunset still had the Western sky aglow. No sound was heard. Reporting mainly in hopes that others also saw it.

Fast moving light. First thought jet very low very fast and close, maybe a mile. Maybe two. East west parallel to horizon. We were facing north. Kids saw, pointed..we both clearly saw it. Fast. Split to two lights..went out. Went 100% parallel to horizon. Not down.

Three adults and one teen were at the fireworks in Exeter, tonight (I was one of the adults). The fireworks were over the river. We were by the car parked across the street from the river, in front of Fort Rock Farm. Fort Rock Farm was behind us, as we were facing the river. Fort Rock Farm has been abandoned for years, without any lights on at all tonight. One of the adults, my son, pointed behind me and said, "What's THAT?" The other three of us turned completely around and looked. Hovering over the back of the field of Fort Rock Farm, were two red lights positioned opposite one another, like car headlights, but closer together. The lights hovered up high (possibly rising a bit) and then the lights began to very slowly descend until they disappeared. They made no sound at all. It was too dark to see anything. Although there are R. R. tracks behind the farm, there was no train going by. There was no reflection of any fireworks. I kept checking back, when the fireworks were going off, and there was no reflection at all behind us of the fireworks. During the event, I had a camera in my hand, but was so shocked by what I was seeing and by trying to make sense of it, that I didn't think to film or take photos until the event was over. We all confirmed with one another what we had seen. The two very young children with us had not turned around and didn't notice anything. No alcohol or any substance of any kind was consumed by any of us that day, and my son and I and the teen never drink any alcohol or consume substances at all (aside from an asthma inhaler).

Ft. Smith (60 mi. N of)(in-flight), AR
First let me say, I’ve been a pilot for more than thirty years, both in the military and commercial. I’ve never witnessed anything like I observed on the evening of July 12, 2014. I was flying from Chicago to Dallas-Ft. Worth at FL320. Sky conditions were clear. I fly for a major airline and have flown this route hundreds of times. We were about sixty miles north of Fort Smith, Arkansas, on a heading of 210. The time was around 2110 (9:10pm) central time. Suddenly, I spotted an object at my 1030 position, traveling from east to west. It was about twenty degrees above the horizon. It was emitting a very bright white light. As it was moving across my windscreen, I kept waiting to see a strobe or some other indication that it was an aircraft. It was moving at a very high rate of speed. As it moved to my 1 o’clock position it split into two bright lights. The objects began to separate from each other and then they immediately disappeared. The first object appeared to be the size of a tack head, if held at arm's length. Then when they separated, they appeared to be the size of a pin. Another commercial aircraft, that had seen the same object, immediately asked Memphis Center if he was tracking an aircraft that had just flown over him. Memphis replied that there was no traffic in his area. At that time, I told Memphis Center that I had seen the same object. Another commercial pilot then chimed in and said he had seen it too. For the next five minutes, the other pilots and I gave a brief description to Memphis Center what we had seen. All had observed the exact same thing. I must reiterate that the object or objects did not have a tail streaking behind or moving up or down. They were moving in a straight line from east to west. The bright white light emitted by the objects was more intense then I have ever seen. In all my years as a pilot, I have seen weather balloons, falling stars, meteors and comets. This was different from anything I have ever observed in my thirty year career.

Solid white light moving fast from E towards NE and then N. Moving much faster than an airplane, with no noise. Somewhere in the middle (around NE), one light turned into two, and then later on both disappeared. Travelled from due E to due N in about 30 seconds. Too fast for airplane, and too horizontal to be a meteor. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

Was watching planes land from porch around sunset, and saw a bright white/yellow light going SW over Austin (towards me and going slightly right to left). Was going faster than an airplane, but much, much brighter. And silent. It suddently split into 2 bright lights--one red and one light. ((sic. "white light")) About 1 second later, both lights disappeared into thin air. We believe a more accurate time would be 21:05 hrs., if the witness saw the same object seen by many others in Texas. We have amended the time above. PD

Date: 07/12/2014 Time:2105 hrs Duration: 5-8 seconds Sighting city: Pearland Sighting state: Texas Zip: 77581 County: Brazoria County Witness: 1 Shape: Round and hazy, possibly a cluster. Number: 1 or 3 grouped together. Description: Round, hazy, red, white and yellow, bright lights with a long tail, extremely high rate of speed. I reside in a suburb located about 20 miles south of Houston, Texas. There is quite a bit of light pollution in my area, coming from Houston to the north, and a small baseball field to the east, so star gazing is minimal. There is a small, private airport, about 3/4 mile SW of my location. Approximately 5 miles NE is Ellington Field, a former AFB, and still a current NASA facility. My neighborhood is full of trees, which partially obscured my vision of what I have just seen. At 2105 hrs, I was in my front yard, speaking with a family member on my phone, facing north. Out of the corner of my eye I saw movement in the sky, and turned to see what it was. I observed a multi-colored, red, yellow and white, brightly lit object, moving at a ridiculously high rate of speed, coming from the SE, and traveling almost due NW, or right to left for me. This object had a long tail, similar to a comet or shooting star, that was a sort of a fuzzy, faint yellow. The lights were not blinking, bright, yet hazy, like it was surrounded by part of the front part of the tail.. The angle of elevation was somewhere between 45 and 60 degrees. I couldn’t say if this object was at 35,000 feet, or skimming the treetops of the houses across the street. When I first saw the object, it was NE from my house, and as I was trying to tell my family member what I had just seen, and running out into the street to get a better look, the object continued on its NW course, dis! appearing over the horizon. This object was in my view for a very short time, somewhere between 5 and 8 seconds. From my perspective, this object appeared to be about the size of a basketball. There was no noise coming from the object, but every dog in the neighborhood was barking or howling at something that I couldn’t hear. I am an active, 25 year Police Officer, and have never seen anything so strange, or move so fast. I am not one to believe in alien spacecraft, much less report on one, but what I saw doesn’t compute with anything I know, and I would really like to know what the hell I just saw..

Sitting in back yard, looked up and thought it was a low flying plane or helicopter but there was no sound. Moving very fast from east to west. Bright red and white lights. Stood up from chair to follow it over my roof, then it split into two parts, one going north and other going south, then lights went out and could no longer see them. Somebody else had to have seen this. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

We were on our deck to observe the Super Moon and then we saw out of the east (looking north) a light that at first appeared to be an airplane heading from east to west. But then we noticed it was traveling extremely fast, no sound. It covered a very long distance in a very short period of time. It then split into two lights and they appeared to head in slightly different directions. Then they were gone. Have never seen anything like it. It did not have a tail. No sound. I saw a report from someone in Paris, Texas, who saw the same thing, but they noted they were looking south. We were looking north. Perhaps this event happened between Austin and Paris, TX.

My wife and I were returning home on Saturday night as I noticed a round light in the sky. The light seemed to be rotating in spiral form while crossing the sky. It appeared to be going south to north. I stared in disbelief not sure if I wanted to say anything my wife said, "Did you see that?!". Glad she saw it as well we laughed and giggled the rest of the way home wondering what it was. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

the sky was grey just after sunset. was heading back to Lake Charles from baton rouge after taking a state test. was on the phone with a friend and I saw it. It was so bright and so fast it was unreal. There was a thin cloud horizontally it was maybe 6" thick in my view but probably quite large in reality. I saw it for about one second going so fast into the cloud and a split second later was on the other side of the cloud and within 2 to 3 seconds later it was out of the atmosphere. I could tell that it wasnt following the curvature of the earth. Instead, it faded into the atmosphere. I really cannot stress how fast and how bright this thing was.

Scatterings of clouds on relatively warm night. Facing the water in Waterfront in Tacoma. Facing west. Looking up in sky and see an orange light. Tell 1 other person, and note that the light doesn't seem like a airplane. The other 2 people are told by the person I told first. Watched it go fairly quickly as diagonally across sky towards a thin cloud. The light stops in middle of the very thin cloud and pulsates twice before disappearing. Witness corrected date of July 12, 2014. We have altered it above. PD

Saw a white light that caught my eye flying in a big circle. It was odd so I texted my sister and when she walked out the light was flying in another circle a little farther back from where it was previously circling. We couldn't find any solid info or facts about what it could be but have seen evidence of others seeing the same light or lights making the same weird circle(s).

3 orange lights were seen in a wide triangular position, then one headed east, then took off straight up and disappeared, then the next, then the next. Soon, we saw another coming and it did the same thing... then another. There were 8 in all. It lasted about 20 minutes. It was directly above the golf course on Muddy Creek Road in Bridgetown, which is a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio. There were teens playing at the adjoining tennis court that were talking about it too but we did not get their names.

The bright light was silent as it passed over, I continued to watch for any signs of a crash. To me it appeared as an airplane entering back into the atmosphere. We wonder whether the sighting occurred on Saturday, July 12th, 2014, but we have no means of contacting the witness, who elects to remain totally anonymous, and who provides no contact information. Hello, In the sky to the south west while driving home I saw a light, like a star but much brighter. It was a clear evening, very few clouds and being around 7.30 to 8 pm, it was still very much light. The "star" was white and seemed to be at least double the size of how Venus or Jupiter would look on a clear winters night, yet this was in daylight. I'm an educated man and have an interest in astronomy. I said to my partner who was sitting in the car next to me, I think Betelgeuse has gone supernova. I was so excited and couldn't believe it. I tried to show her where but she didn't see, I viewed it for what seemed like 10 seconds and then over a period of around 1 second it faded to nothing. I knew then that if a star like Betelgeuse had indeed exploded it should be visible for weeks or months. I rushed home and put on the news in case there were any reports of such things, there were not. I mulled this around in my mind that night. The light was not moving, when it faded there was nothing, no object at all left in the sky. I found this website and thought I should report it. I would like to add that I am in my 30 s and have never seen anything like this before. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. For some reason, witness indicates that the date is approximate. PD

Three family members and three neighbors, none of us acquainted with each other, saw the “moving stars” traveling from NW to E behind unusual cloud cover. At least a hundred that would alternate between brightening and dimming. Some moved past each other faster than others, some in formation and some not. Lasted for almost two hours. About an hour into the event a high altitude airplane flew very quickly under the moon on the opposite side of the sky, so we know these lights where not airplanes. None of the lights made a sound, but the Earth had a strange vibration. None of the sounds were from a train, a/c unit, or from highway traffic; there is a difference between these vibrations. Even some of the backyard dogs started barking and howling without any seeming provocation.
