Le 22 juin 2023 à 22h50, un résident de PIERRELATTE (26) est sur sa terrasse, à son domicile, lorsqu'il observe un PAN en forme de "gros cigare", d'environ 25 mètres de long, avec des hublots lumineux. Le PAN se déplace lentement et silencieusement, à une altitude équivalente à celle d'un hélicoptère, suivant une trajectoire nord-ouest/sud-est. Soudain, il disparaît. Un seul témoignage est recueilli pour cet événement.. Selon les critères du GEIPAN, la consistance* de ce cas est moyenne : un seul témoin, ni photo, ni vidéo. *selon les critères du GEIPAN, la consistance est la quantité d’informations considérées comme fiables et objectivées, recueillies pour un témoignage. L'enquête a exclu l'hypothèse d'origine aéronautique et a confirmé qu'il s'agissait probablement de l'observation d'un train de satellites Starlink (voir rapport d'enquête pour plus de détails). Le lancement de satellites Starlink par une fusée Falcon 9 de SpaceX, effectué le matin même, a entraîné la formation du train de satellites « G5-7 ». Ce train a été observé depuis le sud-est de la France lors de son passage notable peu avant 23h00. La proximité encore importante entre les satellites a créé l'illusion d'un objet unique en forme de cigare, les "hublots" correspondant en réalité aux satellites individuels illuminés par la lumière solaire, bien que le soleil soit déjà sous l'horizon du point de vue du témoin. La disparition s'explique par le fait que, soit le train de satellites sort de la zone de visibilité du témoin, soit du fait de leur déplacement, ceux-ci ne sont plus éclairés par la lumière solaire. Light in NW sky appeared as star then comet-like then looked as nuclear sub size silent craft moving 5k ft over north edge of subdivision. Lights were on constantly like a passenger ship on the ocean then started blinking as it was directly in front of me before moving out of sight behind leafy tree on right side of yard.

I took my dog out and looked up and saw two bright green, what looked like still meteors. They slowly faded away after a few minutes. I thought it could be a laser but it was above the clouds and there was no beam. This is the second time I’ve seen this, the first time was roughly a month ago.

At approximately 2241, on the night of June the 14th, 2023, my significant-other and I stepped out to our front porch to smoke and within the span of just one or two minutes, heard and witnessed the speedy passage of a massive craft. We thought at first, due to the sheer apparent distance between guide-lights, that it was two helicopters flying with something suspended betwixt them. However I believe the lights we saw were too coordinated in their movements to indicate anything but a single craft. Visibility was however, low due to the streetlamp opposite the house. I could just vaguely make out the outline of the craft. As it appeared to me it seemed very like a submarine or zeppelin. I'd wager it was prop driven, given the sound. It approached from the South, approximately heading Northward, with a spotlight beaming down from the fore. Given the search-light I was hesitant to try to take a photograph, let alone the poor visibility and my potato-phone.

Le 13 juin 2023, aux alentours de 15h, un témoin situé dans son jardin à Digne-les-Bains (04) observe dans le ciel un phénomène aérien non identifié (PAN). L'objet, silencieux, présente une forme évoquant celle d'une cuve de gaz, une couleur blanche, et paraît stationnaire. Il se déplace toutefois lentement du sud-est vers l'est. L'observation dure entre 10 et 20 secondes, jusqu'à ce que le PAN disparaisse derrière une couche nuageuse. Le témoignage a été recueilli le 5 mars 2024. La consistance* du cas est évaluée comme étant moyenne, du fait d'un unique témoignage, sans apport de support visuel ( photo ou vidéo) du PAN. *selon les critères du GEIPAN, la consistance est la quantité d'informations considérées comme fiables et objectivées, recueillies pour un témoignage. L'enquête a permis d'explorer trois hypothèses (voir le compte rendu d'enquête) : 1- Un ballon-sonde de grande taille, dont l'apparence pourrait correspondre à celle observée, à condition qu'il ait à la fois perdu de l'altitude et subi un début de dégonflement partiel., 2- Un dirigeable de type zeppelin, possiblement en transit pour participer aux 24 Heures du Mans; cette piste a été écartée après vérification, aucun appareil de ce type n'ayant été présent dans la région au moment de l'observation, 3- Celle d'un avion, possiblement militaire. Cette dernière hypothèse apparaît comme la plus plausible pour les raisons suivantes : - la forme décrite est compatible avec celle du fuselage d'un aéronef. L'absence apparente des ailes peut s'expliquer par des effets de diffusion atmosphérique limitant la perception des éléments latéraux. - Couleur blanche : caractéristique fréquente des avions de ligne commerciaux, cette teinte est toutefois moins courante sur les aéronefs militaires, ce qui oriente l'analyse vers un appareil civil. - les estimations fournies par le témoin, combinées aux calculs effectués (dimensions apparentes, altitude, distance et vitesse), sont compatibles avec celles d'un avion en vol. La sensation de lenteur perçue peut être attribuée à une vitesse modérée à haute altitude, amplifiée par les effets de perspective. - Absence de traînée de condensation : aux altitudes estimées, les conditions atmosphériques peuvent ne pas avoir été favorables à la formation de traînées, ce qui reste cohérent avec l'observation. Le délai entre la date de l'observation et la réception du questionnaire par le GEIPAN n'a pas permis de solliciter le Centre National des Opérations Aériennes (CNOA) afin de vérifier la présence éventuelle d'un aéronef correspondant aux caractéristiques décrites. Néanmoins, une consultation des plateformes de suivi collaboratif du trafic aérien a été effectuée. Aucune trace d'un appareil compatible n'a été identifiée. Cette absence peut s'expliquer par l'éventuelle désactivation du transpondeur de l'aéronef concerné, ou par les limites inhérentes à la couverture et à l'exhaustivité des données fournies par ces services en accès libre. UAP approached our camp sight, coming up over the 40ft barrier of rocks; it seem to hover 20 plus ft above rocks for a 30 seconds or so, seeming to rotate or change direction, then is shot off faster then any known military aircraft. It had rectanglular segments that seem to create a belt around the craft of low glow white or gray lights, and two more distinct lights (that seemed to be headlights). The UAP was silent, and seemed to create a noise reaction because all the insects went silent during the sighting and then went back to normal as soon as UAP zipped off. The UAP appeared to be gray in color and devoid of any mechanical sound or sound at all.

Large Cigar shaped bright white light object appears in the NW airspace above Wasilla, AK hovering in place for 45 seconds then disappears. Object was visible from wonderland city park facing nw. Video was captured on cellphone camera a couple seconds after it appeared.

Cigar shaped object glinted in the sun as if it were chromed. The glint is what caught my eye. It came from the south and veered to the SW. I don't know how far away it was so I do not know the size. It was fast and it was unlike any aircraft I have ever seen. I heard a noise that was very similar to a hot air balloon inflator, but also very different. We hear balloons all day every day. It got my german shepherd's attention because he hates balloons, but the dog just seemed puzzled as it zipped away.

I saw an oblong craft hovering in the air I can’t give an estimate of how high up but it looked like it was way lower than any aircraft would normally fly. And it was shining some type of green laser light down from it in intervals and then I turned the flashlight on my phone and pointed it up towards it and then the craft sped off very fast. Not sure how an aircraft can go from hovering to flying at that speed in a split second

I went outside to let my dog walk around the grassy area next to my apartment and upon looking up (West), I noticed the cigar shaped object drifting across the sky at a consistent pace, going downward (left) at about a 45° angle. Could not decipher if it was metallic or white in color. Appeared somewhat translucent at times with naked eye. I then notice a secondary object which begins higher up than the first and appears further away, behind some faint clouds at times. Secondary object appears to be moving at a similar speed as the first object, however, the secondary object is moving downward at about a 45° angle, rather than upward like the first object. Both moving left. I watched for about 10 seconds before then recording with my cell phone for about 17 seconds. Objects drifted behind cloud cover and couldn’t be located after that. Second video attached is the same as the first video, just zoomed in more. Video time stamp says 9:06AM.

My mom and I were out in her deck just sky watching and about 25 to 35 lights evenly spaced apart moving diagonally in a straight line together. Some lights were brighter than others, randomly fading in and out and then it just disappeared. It seemed really close, a lot closer than the stars. Then, after they were gone, random blinking lights in various parts of sky for about a minute after. It was similar looking to the starlink [NUFORC annotation: Starlink - Possible]

Cigar shape maybe as large as two train cars in length. Floated up and around and down in all directions. Slow moving. Thought it was a balloon but it floated a few times without moving. Then in one of my videos there is a second tiny object with a flashing light zipping around the larger object and then takes off super fast. [NUFORC annotation: Balloon - Possible]

Above Venus a transparent, elongated object started moving vertically with 1 bright, solid light at the top. It appeared to be moving away from us at first, pretty similar to a rocketships trail. I pointed asking my spouse what that was when we were on the porch, and we both couldn't take our eyes off it because it seemed different. We continued to watch and it started to come across the sky slowly. It appeared as one object, but almost transparent but could still make out a shape, the best thing to call it would be a saucer, the size was unreal I'm guessing 150ft long maybe more. It finally started hovering above our yard, and we both agreed there was distanct 7 lights in a line with even spaces. This was clearly from one object and it was lower than the plane that was passing near it to the right of it infront. The odd part of it was as my spouse reached for his phone to finally take a video as it was right above us. I was keeping my eyes on it and all the lights slowly dimmed and disappeared before he even looked back up. We both have seen questionable things in the sky before, as we are outdoor folk and have been in remote locations with open sky's but nothing has compared to this experience. We both questioned each other after, "Did we really just see that?" After that I felt eerie or as if being watched from a distance and was hearing some odd sounds that I couldn't explain, so we went inside. Its something you hear about but to see yourself was an experience.

I was walking my dog and the encounter happened too quickly, so I was unfortunately unable to film this brief encounter. I heard a few airplanes in the sky. I love to watch them fly, so I took a look and saw 2 airplanes SE and SW of my position. Between them, nearly dead-on South, I saw a dark, almost black orb hanging suspended in the sky, quite high up. It didn't even take a second before the object turned (I assume that is what happened), revealing that the object was in fact a dull gray color and shaped like a fat cigar. After turning, the object headed quickly in a SE direction and disappeared from sight due to a combination of trees and buildings. The entire encounter couldn't have lasted more than 4 seconds, if even that long. The skies were almost perfectly clear, with most clouds being light, fluffy, and to the East and North. The object was between 40-50 degrees above the horizon.

Coming from west to east no sound a string of lights looked to be 50 yards long maybe 2000 feet AGL. Im a pilot! Traveling horizontal maybe 80 to 100 knots absolutely no sound 9:45 @ night Hickory airport control tower closes at 9 PM. Or they would have seen it! [NUFORC annotation: Starlink - Probable]
