At that time directly east there were 3 white "stars" of about 1st magnitude arranged in a straight line and evenly spaced and equal brightness. The axis of the lineup stood vertically above the E horizon just above a neighbor's house, or on an E-W axis. I had never seen a formation of stars with a pattern like this and thought it was unusual. The stars did not move or change brightness exactly like normal stars except that there are no stars that even remotely resemble that configuration and brightness in that part of the sky at that time. My husband is an amatuer astronomer and MUFON field investigator and checked the star charts and Stellarium planetarium software. Whatever they were, they were not stars. After viewing them for a few minutes, I looked at the sky straight up, and to my surprise another IDENTICAL equidistant straight-line pattern of 3 stars were visible. They were exactly the same, except they were dimmer at about magnitude 2, but still easy to see. Again, there are no stars known that meet the observation. During the approximate 5 minutes of observation, both of the configuations just appeared stationary. But that's not all. The SAME CONFIGURATION of three 1st magnitude "psuedo-stars" made another appearance just this morning (12-3-14). Exactly the same phenomena. During 5 minutes of observation (clear sky & other stars visible) they just stood there just like stars of magnitude 1 or so. Tried taking a picture with my cell phone but it didn't come out. After 5 minutes had to go back indoors to check on the grandaughter. At 5 AM went back outside on porch, and the "psuedo-stars" were gone. Husband checked CalSky for possible satellite etc but nothing visible that could cause this.

As I was driving down Airline Highway in Baton Rouge at about 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 20th, I saw several orange/gold lights up in the sky to my left. Then I noticed there were many of these lights. They were not blinking. Once in a while, they would appear to twinkle. Since I was driving, I couldn't tell if they were moving or not, so I pulled into a parking lot to watch. The lights were moving, all to the northeast. As I watched, more lights appeared from out of the southwest, and moved in the same direction as the other lights. These lights were larger than the size of the planet Venus when it can be seen shining brightly in the sky--probably three times the size. Once they moved past me, I would lose sight of them, but more and more kept coming. A plane or helicopter with flashing lights appeared and seemed to be going in a wide circle in the area. After about 10 minutes, no more lights came out of the southwest. I don't know exactly how many lights I had seen, but at least 20. I have no idea what these were, and I have not seen any news reports locally about these strange very bright orange/gold lights.

A large white light streaked across the sky in front of us, low to the horizon as if it came from behind us. It was like a dash space dash space dash. Then it was gone. We have never seen anything like it. It moved extremely fast like a shooting star, but was not steadily lit like one. It reminded us of a missle being shot from a fighter jet. The strange part was how it disappeared at exact intervals almost like a sewing machine stitch.

There is a bright white lighted object flying erratically above the Koko head shooting range. I filmed over an hour of footage. The light dims and brightens and moves horizontally and vertically. It's still there doing the same thing as of 21:00. It appears to dive toward the ground, then it shoots up in the sky, stalls and moves left to right and in a circular motion. As if someone is drawing a circle with a flashlight. I also filmed at least 7 airplanes flying past it within an hours time. Note that the video does not give good details of the craft, however, you can clearly see the erratic pattern it is flying in. And you can see the airplanes flying past it (you can tell the planes apart from the craft because of their flight path and strobing light, the object is just flying in all directions). It almost appears as if someone is flying a kite with a set of lights on it. The only problem is that flies way to high to be a kit. It is higher than the airpl! anes flying past it, and it dives down a rockets back to high altitude way too quickly to be a kite.

I was watching what appeared to be a very faint satellite in the southern sky moving north to south. However, it then increased in brightness to that of the brightest stars or planets for 5 periods of 1 second each before disappearing. Do you have any ideas about what this could be? Thanks.

Bluish color light traveling north across clear night sky, thought it was a shooting star. It then in an instant it turned to a brighter white-yellow color, instantly changed direction toward east and disappeared in a very short distance. Craziest thing I have ever seen! Did anyone else witness this?

Two orange objects spread apart. They were long and thin shaped orange in color. They stayed in one spot and then tilted sideways as they started to get smaller. They descended extremely slow only a few feet as they were getting smaller and a plane came by the path and passed by and then did a complete circle in the sky and headed toward the objects. They slowly were disappearing getting smaller until they could not be seen. I left and still saw the plane flying over the area. Moveing east to west in a triangle formation, the east being the tip an the west two lights made the base. The lights where orange, like hologen street lights in color. Flying just belleow the clouds at 2500 to 3000 foot above sea level. Then just vanished, no noise, very smooth flight path. As they where vanishing they seemed to dim them grow brigther them just truned off or vanished.

My girlfriend told me to come outside and look at two "weird looking" stars she had never noticed. I saw two white lights that appeared to be normal stars in the northeast sky. The lights slowly began to move apart and then over a period of about 30 seconds completely faded away. They were very bright white and slowly dimmed to white-ish blue. My daughter and I observed 20 lights moving across the night sky over a lake in Dracut, MA. They were traveling south to north toward Orion's belt. They moved in a cluster formation in a long length across the sky. Out of the 20, there were three far behind them traveling in the same pattern. Two were together with the third coming up from behind. They were bright white lights with no colors, no blinking, and no sound. My daughter observed them group together in a cluster and move east at that point in the sky.

This odd light appeared to be standing still while the other two were circling or staying at least as close as they could to it. Anyway, this suspicious white light went dim, then shifted to a shade of blue and then unexpectedly streaked across the sky at a rate I've never seen before and then it disappeared into the night... It was an unbelievable event to witness between the both of us. I can only describe the object a white ball of light at first then as a blue colored shooting star but as it started to move it had a halo shape to it with a blue rim leaving a quickly diminishing trail. The other two lights immediately vacated the airspace as if nothing happened.

Looking a pair of hawks flying over head when I saw a small fast moving white object flying over head at a high alt. I could not make out what kind of aircraft it was nor it was leaving a white smoke trail as other aircraft does. I did not have time to get my camera to take a picture.

Approx 6:30 pm, got out of car after arriving home from work, noticed unusual yellow-orange objects passing across the sky. I stood and watched for 10 minutes or so, a fairly steady stream of these objects which was probably 30 or more during the time I was watching. Some appeared to be grouped, they were not in a straight line but all traveling in the same direction. They appeared from one direction and passed across the sky above my neighborhood. I was in my car parked, sending a voice message. When I saw something moving, I thought it was an airplane but since it doesn't have the classic lights of an airplane I start looking at it more carefully. I saw it in the air. The light inter-city was the same as star in the night. But it was moving across the air, due to the intensity of light, I could notice that it was far, but the most relevant thing was the speed. I never seen something moving that fast in the air. It wasn't a comer or something. It was a light. And then it suddenly disappear in the middle of the air. I was out in my yard in the evening getting my dog to do her evening ritual when I looked Northwest into the sky and saw some flickering lights. I figured they were airplanes queued up for landing except I realized they were stationary. They were not stars as they were flickering with high level of clarity as opposed to the way one would see a distant star flicker. I noticed two of the lights were in sync so I figured then that maybe it was a tower that I just had never noticed before until other lights started to appear. Some were moving very slowly. Slow enough to be helicopters drifting as they hovered, but there was no sound and then more appeared. Some disappeared and the two that were in sync went out of sync. I noticed a total of about 10 lights. I used my binoculars to see what I could but could only really make out balls of light as it was dark. I did notice that at least one light was reddish while the others were mostly white. I went to get my wife to look and by the time she came out, the lights had gone from about 10 back to 2 and then a few planes came through the area and the lights disappeared.

Single solid orange lit object silently flying south to north from Prouty Drive towards Lake Memphremagog. Maybe 100-200 feet up going steadily at what appeared to be about 50-60 mph. Clear skies at dusk traveled just above and then into the leafless tree tops away from me.

Le 10 novembre 2014 à 22h00, un témoin regarde par sa fenêtre et voit un point lumineux un peu clignotant dans le ciel. Le PAN se déplace très lentement vers la droite, tout en changeant de couleur très rapidement. Le témoin tente de prendre le PAN en photo, sans succès. L'observation cesse entre 0h45 et 1h00. Alors que le témoin commence la rédaction d'un Questionnaire Electronique (QE) du GEIPAN vers 1h40, il regarde de nouveau par la fenêtre et voit de nouveau le PAN. Il le perd de vue vers 2h30. Un seul témoignage sera recueilli. La longueur du temps d’observation (environ 3 h pour la première phase et 45 minutes pour la seconde) ainsi que le fait que le PAN se déplace très lentement vers la droite sont tout à fait caractéristiques d’une méprise de type astronomique. De plus, le déplacement de l’Ouest vers le Nord accompagné d’une diminution de la hauteur angulaire du PAN est tout à fait caractéristique de l’observation d’un astre observé vers le Nord-Ouest. Si cette hypothèse est exacte, l’observation du PAN impliquerait donc deux étoiles différentes, assimilées en un unique objet par le témoin, l’absence d’observation durant 45 minutes entre 1h00 et 1h45 du matin favorisant ce type de confusion. Les changements de couleur rapides du PAN (rouge, vert, bleu) sont également tout à fait caractéristiques de l’observation d’un astre brillant, dont la lumière scintille à cause des vents d’altitude. Une reconstitution sur Stellarium pour le 10 novembre 2014 à 22h00 montre qu’un astre remarquablement brillant, l’étoile Vega (magnitude 0,0), se situe à un azimut parfaitement cohérent avec celui du PAN (297° contre 298° estimé par le témoin) (voir le compte rendu d'enquête). D’étrangeté moyenne, mais de consistance suffisante, ce cas s'avère être une méprise certaine avec les étoiles Vega et Deneb, dont les positions correspondent exactement à celle du PAN aux horaires indiqués. De plus, l’arrivée d’une perturbation pluvieuse au moment de l’observation a entrainé des vents d’altitude faisant scintiller les étoiles, correspondant aux rapides changements de couleur du PAN. Les petits mouvements apparents perçus par le témoin sont le résultat de l'illusion autocinétique. Ce cas est classé A, méprise avec les étoiles Vega et Deneb. [GEIPAN classification A — Etoile]

I came outside and saw a bright red light that looked like the north star except for color. My first instinct was to go and get my camera. But instead I just stood and watched it thinking maybe it’s just a plane, because it was moving slowly across the sky. I thought that planes all have flashing lights and all I saw was this magnificent bright red light that appeared to be slightly orange in color like maybe it had a white light in the middle. It moved from probably south to north and all of a sudden it just dimmed and went out. I thought it may have went behind clouds. I looked hard into the sky and all I could see was stars and even a jet with its flashing lights at a very high altitude. What I saw appeared to be at a low to medium altitude and not obscured by any tree line. So I had a clear view of it until it just disappeared. I hate that I didn’t get my camera. It’s the first time in my 50 + years that I have ever witnessed such a sight. I guess that’s what I get for being skeptical and thinking it has to be a plane.

While outside enjoying the cool night air, I felt a very brief bout of dizziness, which is uncommon for me. About 5 seconds later, I saw a very bright flash of light out of the corner of my eye in the Southern sky. I thought this may be a meteor shower and kept my eyes trained in that direction. I saw another flash, nowhere near as bright, but brighter than a star or an airplane light. This flash appeared further North from the first very bright flash. I continued to watch and saw another flash about five seconds later, again further North. Between flashes, the object was not visible. I kept watching and saw a flash every five seconds continuing to move North. The flash was mostly white, but had a bluish tinge to it. Although the object had a Northerly heading, it did not appear to move in an exactly straight line. The time from visibility of each flash to fade out was not as fast as the usual airplane strobe, it was noticeably slower. Also, there were no accompanying steady lights that airplanes usually have. I had the impression the object was far above normal air traffic. I cannot dismiss the possibility this was a man-made craft. However, I have never seen flashing like this and I often go out to gaze at the stars with the unaided eye. I experienced no further dizziness.
