I was about to start sunbathing. Temp was about 87, partly cloudy day in South end of Knox County. As I noticed a huge high cloud came across the sun, my eyes focused on something rectangular shaped, at the edge of the cloud height. The object appeared to have a louvred appearance, much like that of a laundry room door or the kind of windows one sees on older homes in a beach area--louvred. The object appeared to be black, and was headed due North in direction. It wasn't blown on the wind, in a "wafting" type direction, it was on a steady path. No variation in its path, as I said, just at the edge of the lower level of a white cloud and at that height, it would've had to have been easily 50x100 ft, but looked really tiny from the ground. To place perspective, when we see a jumbo jet pass near a cloud, it looks like a period on a huge paper. This object had to be approximately the same dimension, as it was cloud level, just under a huge cloud blocking the sun, had louvres, and was black. I could see that half the louvres went in one direction, the other half in the opposite direction. Very perplexing, and moving quickly. I couldn't begin to estimate speed, but I know it was definitely going pretty fast, kept its height (no sinking) and kept going due North. It came from the direction of Maryville and crossed the sky heading toward the NE side of Knoxville City, across the sky. I've never seen anything I could compare it to, except one of those old louvred type doors with horizontal slats running back and forth across the height of the door...matter of fact, that was my first thought when I looked up and focused on it. There's an air-base in Maryville, approx 15 miles from here as a bird flies, but there's no way anything could gain that altitude from lifting off there. There's an AirForce base there, too. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) Ah! Sorry, it was absolutely Aug 10th. I wonder if it could've been some type of low satellite or drone, perhaps? Maybe something from Google maps...? Perplexing. It was rectangular in shape and may have had lights on the side. I imagine it was pretty big by the size of it. After it took off I got into my car but when I looked at the time it was 7:00pm. I felt as if I only saw it for a minute, but I had some how lost a half hour of time. We spoke via telephone with the witness, and he sounded to us to be quite eloquent and sober-minded. We suspect that he is a highly reliable witness. PD

At 23:00 hours I took my dog outside for her nightly duty. When I opened my basement door to let her out I noticed unusual lights coming from down the hill, over the Wishkah River, about half a mile away from the house. I paused to try to figure out what they were coming from. The thing was not moving or was moving very slowly, which got my attention rather quickly. I thought to myself, “This can't be what I think it is, can it?” I immediately ran back into the basement to grab my phone/camera to try to grab a picture. By the time I got back out with the phone, it was floating up the hill, next to my house. By the time I did all the necessary touching to get the camera working, I missed the best angle and could only get the tail end as it was heading farther up the hill. There were no wings, no signs of it being a balloon shape, as in a blimp and it made no sound until it was heading up the hill, when I heard a strange noise like a small generator motor going. Not nearly enough to power an engine, transmission, or rotor, etc. It actually reminded me of an old movie, the Absent Minded Professor, who drove around in a car powered by Flubber (no joke). I had a close look at the side and partial front end, through the trees that next to my house—tall Hemlocks. It was only about 150 feet or less from where I was standing. It was shaped like a modern flat bottomed yacht or large party boat. It was approximately the size of 4 to 6 transit buses bunched together. About 30 to 40 feet long. The front had huge window that sloped downward and had dividers between the window panels. The front end was rounded 180 degrees and the panels were emitting red and orange light. The windows looked like they were about 6' long, from top to bottom and maybe 3' wide. The slope appeared to be about 20' inward on the bottom. The top of the craft, above the windows had a structure but I was not able to get a clear enough view to see how tall it was. The bottom also had a structure to it that ! appeared to be flat and went down about 6'. As it went up the hill, I could see the back end, which was emitting bright white lights on either side, that appeared to be outlining the shape of the rear quarter panels. Needless to say, I had trouble calming down that night. I came up with a possible connection to the area and the craft as I was trying to sleep. The old naval base, at Pacific Beach, had recently been designated the center for Electronic Warfare Games. The kicker to the story is that I had just finished my MUFON Investigator Test that afternoon. I thought, what are the odds? Also, I did get a picture of the rear of the craft as it floated up the hill.

Saw a rectangular (nearly square) object moving about the same speed as a blimp moves (maybe a little faster). I first noticed it while I was driving on 77N (on my left, maybe a mile or less away) by the Copley exit, lost it in the tree line, but then saw it again heading on the same straight path. Lost it again in the tree line (as the highway declines in elevation) before I exited on the Ridgewood/Miller exit. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

I was driving down the highway when my boyfriend pointed out a silver, almost translucent, object in the sky. It appeared rectangular in shape and was too low flying to have been an airplane, and granted that we are not close enough to the airport for it to have been a plane we are positive it wasn't. My boyfriend continued observing the craft while I had taken my eyes off it to switch lanes,it's during this 5 second period the craft disappeared completely. He stated the craft simply vanished. We were on open highway so there was no way we had lost sight of it and a plane could not simply disappear out of sight entirely in five seconds.

I just finished a 13 hour shift and was walking on my way home at just gone 2 in the morning, and it was quiet and dark still I could hear some sort of humming sound that was just a discomforting sound weird like some trumpet sound, whining in the sky. I looked up naturally and there was a rectangular/cube shaped craft that had to be at least 30 foot long I was just in awe of it I was entranced I couldn't take my eyes off it. I was scared but curious to what it was there were no lights from it but I could see it was a dark black or dark grey it was also hit I ciuld feel the heat from it above me. It then just hovered and disappeared into the sky above me. I would be surprised if no one else locally saw this huge ufo craft. There were 2 crafts visible while the 4th July Fireworks were going on. One was very close to us red and green blinking lights, other was far away and looked like a green bright small light. The one close to us was just static for about 10 minutes and then started moving in the direction of the blinking green lights, and disappeared over the buildings. It then came back again with green light blinking ahead and red light blinking at the rear of the craft. It looked like it dropped in height and moved side ways and then it was static. Suddenly, the red and green lights switched places and craft started moving in the reverse direction. I cannot think of any craft that can move in one direction, stop and simply reverse its direction without turning. Also the other craft, the green bright light was static for most of this time, at the end of the fireworks, it moved very rapidly from the static position and disappeared. I am sure it was a U. S. Air Force surveillance craft, but I do not know of an aircraft or helicopter that can do that and not make any noise at all.

On July 4th of 2015, my husband and I were sitting on our back porch watching fireworks in the Longview area. Our property sits up on a hill about 600 ft. above sea level, so it is easy to see many of the fireworks displays. While we were watching the large fireworks displays on our porch, both of us noticed what we first thought was a large burning ember from one of the commercial fireworks display, drifting from west to east about 200 ft. above our home. We both were concerned, as the weather had been very hot and dry, and our home sits on 2 acres about half of which is wooded. I ran to get the binoculars and had the chance to see what looked like a glowing silently moving lantern. I gave the binoculars to my husband, and he could not identify what it was. I suggested it might be a drone. But, there was no sound and it seemed to be glowing like a candle flame turning slightly as if to monitor it continued on eastward over our hill until out of sight. Very strange, indeed.

What got my attention was a pulsing flame which was coming out of the bottom of this black rectangular shaped object and moved up and down as flame went from big too small. AS this object glided overhead I could hear a light humming sound as it tilted over to its belly. It was the size of a medium bus and maybe a little bigger considering the height it was at. It came from the west and headed east as it gained altitude and just disappeared into the blue sky. Could this be the black knight satellite?

I just saw four lights in the sky in plain view they made a perfect square and hovered above my car and stayed in the same spot for like 4 minutes. Then hovered off, the The lights where 2 red and 2 white and did not blink. It was high up and fire works where popping but I heard a hum as well

The (presumably) same object was seen in two different locations at two different times by the same observer. Driving east on Route 37 I spotted a rectangular object to the east. My position was near the intersection of Hooper Avenue on Route 37 East near 149 Route 37 East in Toms River. The object was rectangular, white, and moving southward relative to my position. It was very small leading me to believe the object was a mile or two from my current position. My first impression was, "This was just a large banner someone's flying over the Seaside Heights beach." Beach banners tend to be red letters on black netting, rather than presented as a large bedsheet. What convinced me to contact MUFON was not seeing a plane towing it. My father-in-law was in the car with me, I remarked, "That's strange," but he was oblivious or thought I was talking about something else. Before I approached the Stop and Shop on 353 Route 37, the object was now low on the horizon and difficult to observe. The distance between the two points is a little over a mile. We made a stop and drove south down Coolidge from Bay Avenue. While heading south on Coolidge, and passing Raider Way, time approximately 17:05, I saw the white rectangle again. No plane was visible towing the object. After (maybe) two minutes, the object went behind trees while heading south. The rectangle was a bit larger from this vantage. The object was hidden by treetops before I reached the light on Windsor Ave. This time I pointed out the object to my father-in-law, he remarked, "Huh," but made no further comment. I believe there's a chance this might've been a case of mistaken identity, this being a banner, but banners tend to be much longer rather than having the dimensions of a postcard. It's strange enough to report, and I'd like to know whether or not there's a prosaic explanation.

I live in Eugene, Oregon. I live with my grown son in a trailer park, and I am very religious. On June 30th, 2015, a little after 9pm, I was standing outside my trailer to see the bright "star" of Jupiter and Venus together, which many have called the star of Bethlehem. I waved for my neighbor to come off her porch and see. We looked together for a minute toward the west, talking about how it has not happened in 2000 years since Jesus was born. I turned to go back to my home and she said, "What is that?" I looked above my trailer in the sky and saw what seemed to be an invisible rectangular object with four sets of blue and red paired lights beneath it. The bright blue and red lights were paired together in four places like where the wheels would be under a car. We did not see the rectangle object, only the lights. These were large lights, not tiny pin-sized lights. They did not blink, only glowed cobalt blue and bright red very vividly. At first it was just hovering, then it went up, away south, around and back again and that is when I realized it was not a helicopter. Nothing could travel or turn that fast that I have ever seen before. We watched until it went up and disappeared into the east. I had a strange feeling while watching that it had been looking at the stars as well, knew we were looking at it, and was trying to get away from us. I don't know if that is true, it is just a sense I had. I did not feel afraid, just calm and curious. I brushed it off, since someone I later spoke with said it was probably a drone. But after thinking about it, this was too big to be a drone, and much too fast.

One summer night, I looked out my window and looked at the sky. After a minute I saw a distortion in the sky. It was a black rectangular flying object that basses offer (sic. passes over?) the house I was in. The event only lasted seconds but I remember the craft from the distance from me; looked like a large coffee table. After the craft left my sight, I saw nothing more than the stars. While in sight the stars were all blocked out, as if there were none. Craft just flew in a straight line. During the time I saw it, there were no animal sounds. I have no idea how long I was looking out the window. The object made no sound.

At approximately 9:54 PM on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, I observed an object traveling very slowly in a south southeasterly direction. The object when initially sighted was almost due west of my location in Myrtle Point, Oregon, at an approximate distance of less than 2 miles. Some high cirrus clouds were present and the sky was not totally dark yet. The object initially had the apparent size of about 1.5 moon diameters. Object was at about 15-20 degrees elevation observed from my location, and very slowly traveled south southeast. Best guess at altitude, less than 5000 feet. The object gave the impression of being roughly rectangular shaped, with the long dimensions oriented north-south. When observed early on with binoculars, the object gave a hint of a grey to charcoal black color. Multiple orange lights were observed at various points along the object and a bright red flashing light, perhaps at the rear or underside, was visible the entire duration of sighting. The orange lights appeared to change position/orientation or turn on/off as the object traveled, giving the impression that it may have rotated or turned left/right on a few occasions but always maintaining its south southeasterly course. The red flashing light did not appear to be perfectly rhythmatic as it seemed to occasionally vary the length of duration on or off. The object spent about 20 minutes moving south and slightly east towards the Siskiyou National Forest area until blocked by trees and my local terrain.

I was driving my family from Carlsbad on the coast, back to LAX Airport. Off to our left were some rolling hills. In front of a hill was a large dark silhouette. Seeing the long shape in a stationary hover, i thought helicopter at first, but immediately it was clear that it was not. As we grew closer, it was clearly a very boxy shape. My wife likened it to a flying train boxcar. I was thinking more aircraft carrier. It looked dull gray with some brighter rounded ends to me. It looked very large. My estimate was well over 100 feet long. Maybe 200 or 300? Big. It slid to the left, hovered up over the hill and down into the ravine behind the hill. My wife and two sons saw it for about 30 seconds? As we passed, my wife saw a helicopter following it. This happened in broad daylight off a busy multiple lane highway. I always wonder if others saw it too. It was right around fathers day 2015.

I drive a wood chip truck and travel to various mills and wood processing facilities in the Willamette Valley and southern Washington. Friday, 6-19-2015, at approx. 19:45, I witnessed two military Blackhawk helicopters flying near Halsey, OR, at around 100 feet elevation, and thought it was a little odd, but dismissed it. I then proceeded to Camas, Washington, and at approx. 22:45, while traveling eastbound on Hwy 14 in Washington, saw 4 or 5 Blackhawk helicopters hovering over the Columbia River, spaced around a half mile apart or so. I unloaded at the mill then headed west on 14, and turned south on to the 205 freeway and then south on I-5, and continued south heading back to Eugene, OR. As I came to the north side of Salem, OR, there was another chopper hovering maybe a hundred feet above the freeway, then another one at about the same elevation on the south side of Salem. I continued south and took exit 244 just north of Albany, OR, and pulled over to the shoulder of the on ramp to have a smoke. I was outside of the truck and noticed a craft coming from the northwest and it flew directly over me and continued on in a southeast direction. The craft was flying at maybe 1,500 hundred feet, and incredibly slow, and was completely silent. The craft was shaped basically like a giant ruler, and had large square shaped lights on each side. For comparison if you look at a ruler and go from the end of the ruler to 2 inches on one side and from the end of the ruler to 10 inches that would be comparable to the size of the lights, and From how far the lights were separated it had to be the size of two 747’s sitting wing tip to wing tip.. The lights were white in color and didn’t flash or change at all and as it flew past me there was another small white light flashing from one side of the craft to the other. There were no nose or tail lights and really appeared to be a giant skinny rectangle. I got back in the truck and continued south on I-5, and lost sight of the object over the hills to the southwest, and as I approached Albany, OR, there was another chopper hovering just off to the west of the freeway.

Saw lights that appeared in the sky in a large rectangular shape. For at least five minutes the lights were stationary but would fade out and become bright again, could not have been stars. The lights faded out at different times. Six individual lights were visible and were equidistant from each other. They were eventually covered by a cloud so the exact duration of the event is unknown. The lights were white.
