From FL390 we saw a star like object moving high above. We asked Oakland Approach what was flying above. He said "Nothing on my radar." I concluded that it was a possible spy satelite passing over Area 51. As the sun was rising it made for a perfect exposure and remained lit while proceding to and from the view of our aircraft.

Yellowish light moving across the sky at a high rate of speed made a quick circle into a zig zag then quickly back in the direction it came from.

Blinking white lights going across middle horizon at night. Three Lights in perfect line(1 side of triangle) appear bright and big, then strobe like a flash of light hold for close to 3 sec and then gone. Warm orange diffused light appears in lower right hand of the horizon and glows for around 15 seconds is gone then reappears for the same 15 seconds.

I observed 3 big bright round lights flying overhead completely silently, hovering in place very low to the ground in a triangle formation from each other. They hovered for 1-2 minutes then flew up and East while staying in their triangle formation. That was definitely not an airplane, or helicopter or anything I can identify.

At 5:00 am, while my husband and I were strapping down our flatbed loads of potting soil, I had an urge to look up into the sky while I was winding up my strap. The sky was clear and full of stars. As I was enjoying the crisp air and admiring the stars, I noticed two "globes" of light come into my field of vision from the north. I have never experienced a sighting like this before. I am a new listener to Coast to Coast which is what caused me to be conscious enough to even look up to begin with. These two "globes" were white in color. They were travelling in a southerly direction. At first, they were travelling side by side, going somewhat quickly across the sky. The one on the right was travelling a pace behind the other. It then sped up and crossed over the other one and took its place on the left side. They both continued til out of sight. I'm not very good at judging distances, but if I had to guess, I'd say they were about 200 to 300 feet in the air. I did not hear any noise, although my truck was idling, so I most likely would not have been able to hear it unless it was very loud. The only wordsI that I can think of to describe the behavior would be that they were like a couple of balls of energy that were buzzing around like insects, playing and racing.

I spotted an object which was closer to the tree line. I was unable to tell the shape exactly if I zoom in on the picture it is a bright light rectangle in shape. It appears to have bright lights on bottom, it hovers in one spot. It is very noticeable. It appeared for a few minutes then went away and then reappeared for a minute and disappeared. I also saw it in the same exact place a few nights ago. Planet? PD

I saw a series of orange lights moving slowly across the sky from a southerly direction toward the north. There were about seven of them and they were equally spaced. They periodically dropped what looked like small balls of fire that extinguished before hitting tree level.

There are lights hovering over Vancouver Lake in Vancouver, WA. Roughly 800 ft in the air. I was thinking to myself when I looked out my window and noticed a large amount of fog. But it was all focused on one major area, I focused as well as I could on that area, and noticed a slowly rising cluster of lights (as if it all belonged to one vessel), flashing around. I then noticed multiple flashes of light around the singular cluster, as if it were firing upon something. I then started to notice EXTREMELY large shadows in the dense fog around my house, and I am right now, hiding in my house, hearing large noises of unknown origin outside my window.

For the past few nights we've seen a briliant bright white light under the moon in the night sky, and we're wondering what it is. It doesn't appear to be moving (like a plane), but is in a different position every night. We are curious, because it just doesn't seem right.

Last summer, we both saw these straight lines parallel to each other in the sky due north around 2 in the morning, the lines were made of lights. I have a lot of stories and if i encounter more of these moving lights I will be back here. If the sky is clear, there will be something to see.

Looking out truck window facing the Big Dipper within 15 minutes I seen what looked like stars pass through the Big Dipper one at a time. The first two were brighter but the last seemed like the light was on and off, couldn't tell because it was in a different place when lit but in the same way of travel, northwest.

I was traveling east on hi 80 and noticed 20-40 bright orange lights in different formations to the east. I pulled over as soon as possible but by then a lot had disappeared, but still about 6-10 were visible. I took a video with my cell phone but they didn't turn out great but are still visible crossing the sky. There was no apparent pattern and was certainly NOT one object. They would come from what is approximately Travis AFB, and travel slowly across the sky, and then just fade away. Then a new group would come from the south and repeat the above. Interestingly, I appeared to be the only one looking at this phenomenon. I google with my cell phone and found that approximately March 15, 2013, someone took a video which pretty much looked like what I saw. Someone gave the opinion on this site that they were “lanterns”

Deep orange lights, slow moving and glowy, at approximately the elevation of a helicopter, but I didn't hear any sounds, even though I was almost beneath them. They appeared to move in their own trajectories, near each other but not coordinated, and there were at least 6-8 of them. I was able to observe them for about five minutes, before they'd moved too far away for me to track. Movement was generally southwest to northeast.

About 0400 this am, I woke up to my house shaking. At first I thought we were having an earthquake. Then shortly thereafter, I heard what sounded like video game noises and this huge bright light shown through my bedroom window (despite there being dark curtains). After the bright light, there was this intense heat emitted and I literally felt like I was being burned. The entire episode lasted maybe 2 minutes, at the most, but it was the strangest thing.

At approximately 0400 03/20/15, I felt my house shake. At first I thought we were having an earthquake. Following the shaking, sounds similar to video games appeared and this in turn was subsequently followed by a white, bright light and intense heat. The light went through my bedroom window (which has super thick curtains in it) and I felt like it was burning me, similar to how one would feel when sunburned. This sensation lasted maybe 3 minutes after whatever flew by my window had passed. I also felt like g-forces were being pulled down on me as it went overhead.

I was driving north from Makanda to Carbondale at 8:15 pm. About a mile north of the south end of Union Hill, I saw some lights in the sky to the north of me. 2 large white lights floating motionless in the sky, and some smaller colored lights that appeared to be helicopters. The white lights were, from my vantage, about 5 degrees above the horizon. Apparently floating 500' above Hwy 13, or somewhere to the north of Hwy 13. The light on the left was floating about 200' higher than they one on the right (This is a very rough estimate). They were bright, big, glowing, white. The helicopters were moving to the left and right, back and forth, maybe circling. 2 were flying around near the SIU farms, west of McLafferty and South of Chataqua. The other 3 were roving around in the vicinity of the 2 white lights. I was driving into Carbondale to visit a friend. From his house I could see the white lights and 1 helicopter. I went inside his house for 2 minutes and dragged him outside to see. He saw the helicopter. The Light seemed to have moved a bit when I saw it again, it had drifted a little lower, partially hidden by trees and buildings. I went inside. Came back out 15 minutes later. No sign of lights or helicopters. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) Yes, April. (sic. March 19, 2015) Just learned that they local small airport was holding night-flying training that night. Which doesn't explain the 2 white lights but I dunno, maybe they were some kind of markers. I'm feeling like my report may have been a false alarm. Sure was spooky tho. ((END ADDENDUM))

This past Tuesday I was out back, having let the dogs out one last time when I noticed that the sky was uncommonly clear. So much so that the stars were twinkling. I then noticed what I first thought was a satellite because of its altitude and that it was also sparkling. A moment later I changed my mind because it was moving too fast. That and it changed its course. Several times. In ways that a plane can’t. There’s also that satellites don’t change course.

Amateur radio operators are well aware of recent sun spot activity, as it affects short wave communications. "On Tuesday, March 17 a CME struck Earth producing the largest geomagnetic storm of the current solar cycle. Aurora was visible all the way down to the central United States. The planetary A index for the day was 117, an incredibly high number." http://www.arrl.org/news/the-k7ra-solar-update-366 A ham operator decided to have a look at the "northern lights". Weko Beach, Bridgman, Michigan, offered an excellent view of the northern sky. An excellent photographer this person took a series of relatively high resolution photos of the aurora with his Nikon D7000. Can get probably get the exact camera settings, nomenclature and lens info if you need it. Rough coordinates for the Weko Beach (public) are: 41° 57' N; 86° 45' W. If you like I can get the exact coordinates from a signpost on the beach. As the ham club newsletter editor and friend, the photographer sent me two of several photos taken. They are: DSC_7510.jpg; 8.6mb; 17Mar15, 22:20 local time (EDT). DSC_7525.jpg; 9.1mb; 17Mar15, 22:32 local time (EDT). Zoom, ?x. As a UFO buff, I saw an unidentified string of lights in 7525. Reminded me of the Phoenix Lights from a distance. Looking back at 7510, I believe there's a barely visible thin black line in the aurora that I can't explain. BTW, the orange in the foreground seems to be light (perhaps moonlight) as it reflected off of the sand covered ice mounds at the Weko Beach shoreline. The somewhat annoying lights are DC Cook nuclear plant flood lights. Installed after 911, they have destroyed the ambiance of the night-time experience along this part of the Eastern shore of Lake Michigan. Another price we pay for defending against terrorism.

I was taking out our puppy to go potty and I looked up in the sky and saw what looked like a star dropping straight down from the sky. It didn't go sideways like most shooting stars. Then immediately after seeing that, I saw what looked like a tiny star moving like a snake through the sky. The color gradually changed from blue to white, blue to white, continuously until it just disappeared after about 20 seconds. It looked further than any airplane could go, because the light looked smaller than the stars.
