We heard helicopters coming towards our house, but they sounded much louder than normal hence prompting us to step outside onto our deck(our house is located on the south east side of town). Once outside we saw two military helicopters buzz low over the town(very loud and sound so different then commercial or stars helicopters) and that caused our eyes to look at a very bright star once the helicopters were gone our focus was on this bright star. My wife said “that is one bright star” and we both looked at it as it made an even brighter flash and looked as though it was moving away from us in a manner that it went from the brightest star in the sky to the dimmest and then completely invisible. It moved in a way as to make a Nike check exactly like you would see in the movies when a space ship travels away into space. It moved faster than anything I have ever seen and I am an avid watcher of meteor showers and just staring at the stars in general so it was! not a meteorite or satellite as its change in direction and speed defy my knowledge of physics. Just thought I would report this somewhere as to be recorded, hope this adds to the banks of data. Have a gooder.

Two of us on the porch experience a bright flash, both looking opposite directions. I was looking in the east, she was looking to the west. We both experienced what looked like a giant camera flash in the sky. Really felt like someone flashed a camera. We both say it seemed like came from where we were both looking our own direction. My wife and I were camping at Paint Creek State Park, Ohio and shortly after dark on Sept 18 (appx 9:30 pm) I noticed lights descending in the distance (toward Hillsboro, Oh). There was one lighted object and then immediately below another exactly the same light and then that was followed by three more immediately below the first two. After that we observed flashing white lights above those and then saw the flashing lights in various areas of the night sky to the north and south of the first sightings and then the flashing lights were in the sky to the north, south and then to the east and then to the west moving at incredible speeds (I would estimate at least mach 3 to mach 4). I have never seen anything like this before. I have worked in the aerospace industry for more than 25 years and have never encountered anything even close to this.

One traveling South to North, second from NE to WSW. Points of light looked like a satellite flare, but with no movement. Just quick flare and then fade out.

Went out on deck of house and noticed a light that would not move towards or away from me. It would flicker yellow, red, & white. It was very vivid for the first hour, but now appears to be slightly smaller and not showing all the color it had when first sighted. Have never seen this type of light out here before. I have seen several plants that appear to be flickering from gases released, but never this. The colors were too vivid.

On the night of September 14, 2014, at around 22:55, I was walking into work. I always look up at the sky. I work in Dansville, N.Y., and that night it was a clear night. As I was walking in to work I saw a flash of Light. It lasted about 2 seconds and was bright enough to light up the sky and to be able to see detail of the hills like it was day time. I checked to see if there was any Storms in the area for lightning but, the closest lightning strikes was over 1,100 miles away. I also listen to see if I could hear the fire whistle because of the brightness of the light I thought that maybe there might have been an accident or maybe something exploded like a transformer. Something logical to explain the flash but, there was no noise and the fire department was not deployed. So I have no idea what the flash was. It was strange.

I was walking down my street at around 1:45 and then out of now where a huge blue flash in the sky appeared and my friend and I had just enough time to look up to see a blue object on the sky as soon as we looked up it disappeared it was in the north of the sky pretty high up there I don't know the exact height but it was on a cloudy night. I had seen a light streak that had appeared to go from a stop to gone in a flash. It was not like any shooting star i have ever seen the object appeared to go up rather than down. The part that was so cool about it is that it left a blue tracer that stayed lit up for about 5 secs. It kind of reminded me of a light saber that was blue. I watch the sky every chance i get for years now and never had seen anything like it. I was alone however phoned my ex girlfriend and she answered you will not believe what i had just saw. Her and a friend of her saw the same thing that i did. Sorry no spell check.

It was 6am, Friday morning. I was walking to school for our Senior Sunrise, (event where the entire Senior class takes a photo during sunrise), but it was still very dark. There was about 40 or more kids that made it early. I hear a student say, "what's that?" I turned around and at first I thought it was just a helicopter searching for someone. Then, the bright light started spinning and growing in size. At that point it was like a flare. My other friend told me that if it was a flare it would've been brighter. A bright haze surrounded the object and then it disappeared. Hope to hear this on Coast to Coast.

On this night, my husband and I spotted a flashing light of blue, red, white of an almost octagonal shape from a side view with the lights flashing in a "spider web" like fashion within it. It was in the Northwest direction. When observed in binoculars it appeared to be bouncing all over.

I was out on my balcony, smoking a cigarette, when I saw a flash of blue-white light which was traveling from east to west quickly pass overhead. I saw it for only a second, or possibly even less. It couldn't have been more than a few thousand feet overhead, but it was hard to tell due to the fact that it was only visible for approximately a second. As far as I could tell, it was a single object. I have no idea as to the shape of it, since I only witnessed a flash of blue-white light. There was no sound. And I quickly stood up to try to get a better view. By that point it was gone. I've lived in this area for about a year and a half, and I'm quite used to the normal police helicopters, border patrol helicopters, commercial airline planes, and private planes that move around the skies in this area; as well as the sounds they produce. This was like nothing I have ever seen before, and the fact that it produced no sound is what really made the hair on the back of my neck prick up.

At approximately 4:42 A.M. this morning, September 8, 2014, I was lying in my bed on Albuquerque, NM’s, west side waiting for 4:44 A.M, the time I get up every day. I was on my back, facing my bedroom window, which is on the west side of the house, when through the partially-opened blinds I witnessed an extremely bright double flash of white light that appeared to come from the west-southwest at an angle of approximately 40 degrees above the horizon. The second flash, which instantaneously followed the first, was well-defined, circular, and appeared to be brighter but smaller than the sun, momentarily lighting up the entire outdoors as if it were daylight. I would estimate the duration at approximately one second. The double flash was not accompanied or followed by any sound whatsoever that I could detect. Since I have never before witnessed anything resembling this, I cannot estimate the distance of its origin. I could not find anything in the news this morning regarding this event, but I did find this web site and thought it was worth a post.

A very overcast evening, the sun had just set and there were thick clouds on the horizon, low in the sky. The clouds were concentrated to one area. We saw a bright flash with no noise many miles away in the clouds. It looked like lightning or an explosion in the sky and it lit the clouds with an amber glow. There were 3 areas where it seemed the flash was occurring. It kept flashing repeatedly, around 20 to 30 seconds between each flash. The longer we watched the more apparent it became that this was not lightning. I have no idea what this could have been but there didn't seem to be any red/amber tint to the sky or clouds to explain the amber color of the flash. This occurred over a rural wooded area where many oil and gas drilling sites are located and the lights were much too high in the sky to be associated with the drills.

On the Yankees vs Boston Redsox Broadcast on September 3rd. They had a close up of the moon from one of their high lense television camera pointed at the moon (at about 1 hour 52 minutes and 24 seconds into the broadcast)(approx) If you look to the bottom left of the screen when they are showing the moon, you will see something streaking from the moon. Its very quick shot but definitely something shooting from the moon.

Oblong shaped light with faint beams shining from the two opposite ends. Yellowish hue with no blinking lights. Silent and traveling in a straight line, west to east. Difficult to gauge height or speed, due to darkness and lack of perspective common in the night sky.

I was startled of course so I looked everywhere and up to see a rocket like figure almost like a space ship, human of course, like the Apollo darting across the sky, but very bright and white, and much larger, it lasted only a half a second, I don't believe it's alien but extraordinary, living in this area we have many mililltary bases near by including china lake so I'm used to it but ((deleted)) it was cool!! We have changed the time of the event, to reflect a nighttime sighting. PD

I woke up again at 3:30. I could barely see but a flash occurred then sky was black. I am 53 year old former teacher. Hovered and also flew. I am unsure about number of crafts and time frame. We were sitting outside when my brother said look above the screen house, When I looked I saw a red light similar to a tower light blinking. We both observed the light and the flashing was erridic, no pattern. My brother went into the house and brought out his son and wife who both observed the red light. The light originally moved west to east but then moved east to west, the light would stop and remain motionless while still blinking for 3 to 4 minutes at a time. We all agreed that there we could not identify what we saw mabee a drone, mabee a ufo. We are hoping that someone else saw these lights. At approximately 2100 we decided to head outside to star gaze. Immediately upon going outside we noticed flashes of light located in the area of the constellation Sagittarius. We observed the flashes of light for approximately 15 to 20 minutes. The flashes of light looked like the flash you would see when a camera flash is used meaning the lights would suddenly appear, remain in the same position, and then disappear without leaving any light trails. The flashes were colored a bright white light with slight bluish overtones. Overall, we saw approximately 8 to 10 separate flashes in or near the constellation Sagittarius. We checked Heavens Above.com and discovered the ISS was not in the area at the time of the sighting. Also, there were no scheduled meteor showers for our location during this time period.
