La Grande, OR
As I was traveling eastbound on I-84, just west of La Grande, Oregon, I observed an intense white light traveling slowly down the Grande Ronde River canyon in a NNW direction toward Pendleton, Oregon. It was approximately 1000-1500ft AGL. I was able to determine that it was airborne, and not on the ridgeline above the canyon. As it came towards me, I was watching it intently and I thought it was actually a series of 4 closely spaced intense white lights, as if it were mounted on a light bar, but as it approached, the beam became so intense, while directed toward the ground, that I reflexively looked away to shield my eyes from the light. As i looked back up, it passed above the roofline of the cab and I lost sight of it. If this was an aircraft, it was operating in violation of FAA regulations, as it had no navigation lights visible. I would estimate the speed to be comparable to a helicopter, which it may well have been. The Army reserve has a helicopter unit in Pendleton, I believe, but they are required to fly with nav. lights on at night. It's possible it was a utility company helicopter working on a powerline or something, but why no navigation lights? All aircraft are required, under the Federal Aviation Regulations, to have red and green navigation lights, and they may have other red or white lights, either solid or intermittent. PD

Driving home from a friend's house around midnight. Saw what appeared to be a bright orange/amber light about 200ft above the ground near my neighbors home while pulling into my driveway. Not recognizing this light, I decided to drive up the road to investigate, as I approached the light moved away from me, I accelerated heavily and the light easily out paced me. Stopping at an intersection about 1/4 mile after my neighbors house, the light remained still approximately 1/8 mile in front of me. For 5 minutes I remained still as did the light. (Nervously I took a short video at this time). Begining to panic I pull a u turn and accelerated back toward my home, the light followed. Quickly I turned around just after a hill and headed back toward the light, I soon found myself beneath the light which appeared to be a silent aircraft approximately the size of two cars. I again turned to follow the craft and it quickly disappeared out of sight. For the next two hours I watched as an apparent star in the sky, with a similar color, moved on a constant basis. My parents live local to me and witnessed the movement of this star along side me. Later 2 additional moving stars appeared. The next 2 nights around 11pm the same light was abserved by myself and 3 of my friends over an open field less than a half mile behind my house. Both times the light could be seen moving back and forth for several minutes prior to slowly decending behind my fence row. On both occasions we attempted to approach the light for a closer look resulting in its disappearance. Again on night 3, 3 "stars" were observed moving about the sky as tho damaging from a string on breezy day. Day 3 was very clear and we watched their movement for several hours.

I was sitting outside enjoying the weather when I noticed 2 previously stationary, white, star-like objects begin to move in a rotation around their center. At first I wasn't sure it was actually happening until they started speeding up. They switched places around their middle, and slightly expanded out from the center. They continued to expand until they created a 45 degree line from the ground, and then headed parallel to each other straight up and down. The light to the east headed down and behind a building, the light to the west headed up and stopped. It sat motionless for a bit. I looked away for a moment to check a text, and when I looked back, it was gone.

While standing outside, I noticed an orange light traveling way too slow to be an airplane, and there was no sound of a helicopter. I went and called a friend to the door so she could see it, and we observed the craft for about 2 or 3 minutes together. It made no sense and movements, but just travelled extremely slowly across the sky. Then, in an instant disappear, completely. The clothes that seem to be orange in color and did not blink did not flash or have any lights on it like a normal aircraft.

Saw 3 orange lights rise in a triangle formation, move slightly, then disappear at different times. An hour later, a mile away, saw a single orange light over the gulf of Mexico at Manasota Beach. The light moved up, down, left and right before disappearing. 10 minutes later, a similar light appeared farther out to sea. It made deliberate movements in all directions before once again disappearing. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

Father: It was going at medium speed, too slow for meteor but too fast for plane. Flashing, dull orange light, not very bright like a plane's light and not blinking but flickering like a flame. Zig zagging course, getting lower. Observed it until it was lost to view behind structures. Daughter: I saw the orange light in my town.

2015jun20 at 11:20pm ufo sighting. The 15-18 lights were orangish-yellow on top and bottom, red in the center. They were flying rather low (from my vantage point, maybe 20 degrees up from horizon) in groups of three in a straight line, from west to east in the northern sky. They seemed to pulse & made no sound, and were traveling at approximately 30mph. When they disappeared behind the trees, I got in my car and drove north about a 1/2 mile to a clearing (appox. 2 minutes) where I had clear view for 10 miles to the east (the direction they were headed) and they were just gone. Note: as straight as their flight formation was, they may have been one long craft…

Roughly six to eight amber/yellow glowing objects were observed in the sky, traveling from south to north at a fairly rapid rate of speed in a fairly level flight path, similar in speed to nearby aircraft that are taking off or landing from the nearby Flying Cloud airport. These objects made no noise, were consistent in brightness and not pulsing, were not flying in a pattern around the airport and did not have any other lights (e.g., red or green flashing lights or landing lights typical of aircraft at night). There were only the amber lights. They traveled north from our location for a minute or so and then the lights disappeared (appeared to burn out? – they weren’t far enough away to disappear from visibility). There was one nearby jet that was traveling from south to north that then turned a right base-to-final approach to land at the airport about three miles east of the location. In checking radar apps on my phone, there were no flights in the area that appeared on Flightradar24.com, or its iphone app, nor was there anything on Flightaware.com.

Strange light seen over Roger's Caynon in WY @22:00. Two witnesses. Assumed to be a plane but did not move over the course of two hours. Been stargazing since a child, knowing differences in types of stars, planes, satellites, and ISS and how they're seen in the night sky. Was not any of the list possibilities. Slightly larger than a planet and glowed brighter than Venus on a new moon. White light with a slight haze around it. No sound and oddly no animals sounds throughout the night. NO coyotes, birds, or prairie dogs. Once strange light suddenly disappeared near 0:00, animal sounds could be heard again. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. I was sitting in the park with my friend, stargazing. I suddenly saw a reddish orange light moving over downtown Spokane from what looked like the east. It seemed too fast for a regular plane and as soon as I pointed it out, it curved hard towards south south-west, directly away from my pointing finger, and kind of corkscrewed, until we couldn't see it anymore. About 5-7 minutes later, a plane appeared, taking almost the same path as the light, but much slower. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

At first I just thought my mind had been playing a trick on me. I decided to mention it to the others but felt sceptical at the same time, as I didn’t want to sound crazy. So the way I phrased it was “you know when you see something weird, but you don’t know if you really saw it or not”. Before I had the chance to explain what I saw, one of the others described what I saw exactly. This made me certain about what I saw and I spent all night trying to find a reasonable explanation. The next night, I saw it again. Another star, static for a moment, but then shooting off in the same direction. However, this time none of the others witnessed it.I have attempted to find a scientific explanation for this, but I have found nothing. I am really curious to know if others have seen this before, and would appreciate a reply explaining what this could have been, as no video on the Internet seems to replicate what I witnessed. I did stumble across one video that did seem close, however the light had a gradual acceleration.

Was travelling home, approaching Stockton, Utah, from the South on State Route 36. Saw 3 unusual star/light formations in the sky that appeared as if they were tethered to each other. The closest was VERY close, in the foreground of mountains, clouds, the moon sliver and everything else in the sky view. I thought it was a helicopter at first but didn't really move like one at all. The second was significantly further out in the atmosphere, but acted tethered like with a string to the first. The third was very tiny, I would have guessed it was almost to outer space, but again was behaving like it was tethered to the first two. I was driving and couldn't pull over, so I didnt know if they moved at all. They looked pretty stationary, maybe moving a small round and about but keeping the string taut =). I tried to take a video while driving, traffic wasn't cooperating on the dark small rural hwy. It looked like many cars of the general public were appearing to take a look, especially as I got to the city of Tooele, a couple miles North, where they were still visible. It seemed also, that when I held the camera on my phone up to take a pic, it showed nothing but the night sky with a darker black square covering the entire area where the lights were in the sky. Upon closer inspection of the actual sky, there indeed was a darker area that it looked like these things had either put there a-la Chemtrail fashion or it was already there and these were commissioned to float through the black. Could see the actual sky instead of the darker color in three rectangular strips across the dark color. These strips were the path they had traveled over the Oquirrs from north to south roughly. One other strange happening was that i noticed a couple zones of very very bright lights shining from the City of Tooele West to the sky where the lights were.. (looked like they had been placed on top of the City Building AND the County Building and aimed west OR the w! ere 2 seperate ball fields where they were all aimed west also.) I assume some kind of military cloaking or anti-radar test, but don't have any specific documentation. Investigator may contact me via email if desire.

I am writing to inform you of an unusual sighting I had with a friend, on June 17th, 2015. Our location is Nazareth, Pennsylvania, in the Lehigh Valley region of the state. I was driving and he was in the passenger seat. He will also be submitting a report on his perspective as well. As I was driving, at the time, he of course got a slightly better look at the objects than I did. However I will be submitting my perspective nonetheless. At approximately 9:25 PM, we were heading south on Blossom Hill Road, approaching a 3-way intersection with Newburg Road. It had been a mostly cloudy and rainy day but had cleared up by this time and was a mild and partly cloudy evening. At this point early in the evening, essentially no stars were visible in the sky. As we approached the intersection we suddenly noticed a formation of 5 very brightly lit orange lights in a triangular or crescent formation. They appeared to be hovering as a unit and had a certain “twinkle” to them similar to stars. However, as noted before, there were not many (if any at all) stars visible in the night sky on this particular evening. Although we were only approximately 8 miles from Lehigh valley international airport at this time, it was clear to both of us that these objects were very distinct from airplanes and appeared to act as a cohesive unit. They were about as high in the sky as you would expect an average airplane to be, except appea! red to be “hovering” more so than “flying” to any particular destination. It is also difficult to accurately size them because they were mere lights in the sky. At this point (after about 15 seconds) I had reached the intersection and put my car in park so we could get out and hopefully get a video of what we were witnessing. At this point, the lights starting shifting into what appeared to be an “L” shape, moving together seamlessly almost as if they were a single craft. Just seconds after they made the transition, they faded away one by one over about a 3-5 second span, almost as if they flipped a switch to turn their lights off. Unfortunately, due to the brevity of the experience (about 30 seconds) and the limitations of our cameras on our phones we did not get the experience on video. As mentioned above, we do live close to an airport but these objects were very clearly not airplanes. I also checked to see if there were any celebrations in my area that evening that could have had fireworks or something of the like, and there were not. In addition, one of the most striking things about this experience is how much it mirrors many of the UFO sightings that have been reported within the past few years. I am not implying that it was anything paranormal, but I have no way of explaining what we witnessed and it certainly demands further investigation. Thank you

Submitted by: BBecker ufomig@yahoo.com My experience occurred on the night of Wednesday, 6/17/15. My youngest daughter and her fiance were staying with us from out of town that week, and they had gone out for the evening, leaving us with their dog, Mosby, a Yorkie. My wife and I had been watching television in our living room. I noticed that it was 9:00 p.m. Central time, or getting close to the top of the hour. Keeping with my routine, we made our way to bed to settle in for the night. After quickly getting comfortable in bed, I heard Mosby bark. We called him, but he didn't come in to answer our call, so I climbed out of bed and saw him setting patiently at the front door, which indicated to me that he had to go out. I pulled off his "diaper" and hooked up his leash and took him outside so that he could take care of business. I recall the weather conditions seemed uncomfortably warm and humid that evening. I began to look at nearby house and street lights and I thought that it looked unusually haze. I then at the sky, and noticed the moon and a few stars. The stars seemed evident, but they too were hazy because of weather conditions. I then looked nearly straight up over me. As I was looking up, I saw a flash of light. The duration was only a second, but since I was viewed it straight on and not out of the corner of my eye, I felt it was not a trick of the light caused by my eyesight or glasses. The flash, or streak, seemed very bright, brighter than the moon, with the intensity of lightning or an electrical flash. It was silent. It would be difficult to say for sure that it was streaking, as it was so quick, but the flash seemed to indicate a movement to the north (it was almost directly above, perhaps a little to my east). The flash seemed defined in its edges, and not subject to the haziness of the other lights and heavenly bodies I had observed. While I did not get the impression that it was close to the ground, it seemed large...I would measure the width of the light by holding my hand straight out above me, with my arm extended fully and holding our my index finger...the flash was the width of the tip of my index finger. The length of travel seemed to be half the length of that index finger. It was so fast, I questioned as to whether I actually had seen this. It did not seemed similar to any other meteor, comet, or natural object I have seen before. It did not resemble any man made object with which I am familiar. The flash seemed very similar to that of an object I watched for minutes back in the 1990's when I resided in Festus/Crystal city. This object moved with intent, up, down, and sideways with great speed, hanging in the air near the ground, high in the air, until zipping off to the west with a flash...exactly like I witnessed most recently. Because of my previous sighting, I feel strongly that the object I viewed this month was not viewed as it had been in motion, but had been hanging directly above me, and zipped away as I looked upward in it's direction. After the sighting that night, I could not arrive at a comfortable conclusion as to what I viewed, and I decided it best to take the dog back inside. Mosby had not acted out of the ordinary during this time. My trip outside lasted five to ten minutes, perhaps. I told my wife what I had seen, and we went to bed. I mentioned it to my daughter the next day. Later in the afternoon on Thursday, she read the news article on Facebook from Fox 2 news regarding the Affton lights. While I found that video compelling, the only similarity between that incident and what I viewed was the time of occurrence. We express our sincere appreciation to Barb Becker, of Missouri Investigators Group, for sharing the interesting case with our Center. Any witnesses to the event desribed here, or any other UFO sighting from Missouri, are encouraged to contact Ms. Becker. PD

On the night of June 17, 2015 multiple people witnessed the same event of what we can only describe as an unidentified flying object sighting. Four of us were sitting and star gazing on the back porch of our ocean front rental house in Holden Beach, NC. It was a perfectly clear night with no clouds in the sky. I pointed out 3 perfectly arranged “stars” as I called them. They really looked like stars because they were just light. After about 5 seconds of us saying how odd it was to see stars that close together and forming a perfect, downward pointing, triangle we saw what none of us could logically explain. The arrangement below is what we saw, they are labeled for reference. A B C At the same time, A and C moved farther from B. Object A moved horizontally to the left. Object C moved straight downward. They did not travel very far, but object A stopped moving before Object C did. A B C Once objects A and C stopped moving, both object A and C disappeared immediately. They didn’t continue moving the light just faded into nothing. About 2 seconds after A and C disappeared, object B disappeared. We were all completely baffled by this and all went online to see if there were any military operations listed as happening that night, but we found nothing.
