I've been in this area my whole life and have never saw this at all! It definitely wasn't a radio tower. Possible sighting of Venus?? PD

I was in my bedroom about to fall asleep when I looked out the window, and saw a pulsing orange/red light in the western sky. It hovered for a minute or two, and then began to slowly move north, and shot away. A few minutes later, a similar light appeared in the exact same spot, like the first one, it hovered for a minute or two, and unlike the first one, it slowly moved to the south, and shot away. Then another few minutes later, another light appeared suddenly in the same spot the second one was last seen, eventually it shot away, and nothing was seen after that. During the sighting, there were some aircraft in the area, but none seemed to be trailing any of the lights.

Brownsville (on I-5 highway), OR
We spotted a bright light as we got onto our exit (216) and noticed a bright white light getting brighter (Like headlights) and closer going South and stopped our car to observe. It went over us and curved East. There were orange/red lights on the bottom and on the back and we noted it had a triangular shape. It was moving too fast and low to be an airplane with no blinking lights but too slow to be a meteor. It seemed to zig-zag as it flew away and disappeared in the distance.

[GEIPAN classification B — Lanterne thai]

On Saturday November 28th, 2015, my 17 year old brother and I were driving out to my mother’s house 20 minutes outside of Winnipeg. Having grown up out there, I was very familiar with the night sky. Driving west down Hwy 26, I noticed 2 lights in the sky that didn’t seem right. They were too large to be stars, too close to be satellites, and too stationary to be airplanes or helicopters. After about 2 minutes the one on the right seemed to vanish completely. The one on the left stayed bright for a couple more seconds before slowly diming, until it was gone.

Two witnesses saw an odd, blinking white light around 8 pm local time, which moved from the northeast to the north, then it slowly moved out of sight behind the mountains, as if it were traveling north. We had it in view for at least 5 minutes. We retrieved a pair of 8 power binoculars and continued to watch, seeing a very strange blinking sequence with no discernible pattern, and the light "jumping" around as if it were several objects, or one extremely large one. Distance from viewers to object at least five miles, probably more. Very clear sky, no clouds, calm winds, the moon is just rising to the east a few minutes after the sighting. The light definitely moved around the sky, and the stars twinkling nearby had a completely different appearance. This light varied in intensity and blinking rate and seemed to change color from white to red when flashing quickly. Both observers are professionals with college degrees and are private pilots.

I drive for a ride sharing company. I picked up a passenger, a girl in her late teens apparently, from the Del Amo Shopping Center in Torrance around 2pm. Heading north on Hawthorne blvd., I noticed an extremely bright white light ahead, about 1000 ft. up. (Bright like the reflection of the sun off a car on a sunny day.) It headed east, about the speed of a helicopter. I turned right on Redondo Beach Blvd., traveling east as well. As I had a customer on board, I wanted to remain professional, and asked if it was okay if I pulled over for a second. She complied. I parked and stuck my head out the door. The light was now stationary, at about an 80 degree angle from us and northeast. I then noticed a second light to the right, stationary, at the same height. This one displayed a lattice-like protrusion, with structure inside, but I could see the sky in between its spaces. This "tail" swung counterclock-wise from 2 to 7. No sound from either. I told my passenger to take a look and grabbed my phone to take a picture and video. It didn't work, informing me that my SD card was full. I know it had plenty of space. I hated to leave, but felt the need to get my passenger home safely. She told me she took video on her phone! I had her send it to me and I will forward it as part of this report. Later that night, my phone was able to take pictures again, but all the photos that had been stored on it were now gone.

What appears to be a very bright star changing from green to red to blue is shining right now, looking south east over Vancouver. Looks amazing and I have been watching it for 45 minutes! What is that? Not a satellite as that would fly past. This is stationary and is still there. You cannot miss it. Very clear sky tonight. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) Hi Peter, Yes, that was Sirius. I hadn't seen it change colours like that before. Regards, ((name deleted)) ((END ADDENDUM)) Sighting of Sirius? PD

Just saw something really weird. 6 to 8 orange light traveling east to west. They seemed to be less than 1000 ft in altitude. Traveled in pairs. They made no noise and traveled in a constant speed. Thinking maybe they were Chinese lanterns, but there was no wind. They flickered as on fire. Kind of cool.

I am a bio engineer, currently working on a US Army contract. I say this to ensure my credibility. My daughter, her 2 friends, and myself all witnessed a craft that is unexplainable. It can be described as what first looked like a Chinese lantern, but after a few seconds, it became apparent it was not. It was orange in color, moving at a very high rate of speed, from north to south, with a slight zig zag motion. We watched it for about 12 to 15 seconds, and then it vanished. It was about 10:15 at night. Without question, it was not a satellite, meteor, plane, balloon or anything I've ever seen in videos or in person. This was, without a doubt, a controlled craft of some sort.

I may have reported this incident already a couple of days after the event occurred, but since it's been 2 years since the event, I forget if I had reported it here or elsewhere. I'm reporting the sighting now even in the case I had reported it here 2 years ago, but forgotten that I had. I tried to report my sighting to several sources but not sure what source was the 'correct' or reliable one. What I had witnessed that day is still fresh in my mind, as if I had seen it just yesterday and I'm still baffled as to what it was (although I have kind of made up my mind that it was something other worldly). On my way driving home from a evening dinner with my wife, we stopped at an intersection at a red light with no cars in front of us (front of the line) with very possibly no cars behind us and little or no cars going through the intersection. The sky was clear (no clouds) and dark (black sky). Then, as if a light switch had flipped on and in the corner of my eye, I noticed a bright white light very high in the sky and off in the distance. Then in an instant that light seemed to beam directly down towards the ground and did so very quickly and appeared to leave a trail of light as it moved to the ground. As quickly as the light appeared it had moved towards the earth and disappeared out of sight. There was no sound that I had noticed with the light. It definitely was not a meteor or something as the way it moved was as if it was 'warp' speed (light really high up in the atmosphere then beamed straight downwards in a straight line towards the ground). I had asked my wife if she had just seen that and she agreed that she did. It was something that was completely unexpected and left us both in wonder at what we had just witnessed. My mind immediately thought ufo or aliens but I did try to honestly think if it could of been a natural phenomena, but I couldn't think of anything natural that would match the description of what I had witnessed.

At first, I suspected they were Chinese paper lanterns, but their movement seemed to mechanical, suggesting that it was not that wind that was carrying them, and then my friend (the other witness) noted that they were in fact not going in the direction of the wind. The lights were orangish and quite bright. Witness elects to provide no contact information. We wonder whether the date is correct, but we have no means for confirming it, given that we are unable to contact the witness. PD

IT IS A BUILT UP area with lots of lights. Most stars are not visible. On exiting a building a bright light was very apparent. About 55 degrees above the horizon. It flickered many colors while holding white. Size and altitude were not determined. Shape seemed to involve two layers. Apparent size was larger than any star or planet. First thought was of an aircraft landing light, but the body of an aircraft never came into view and there was no discernible sound. Object seemed to move side to side dropped to probably 45 degrees. A second object/about 20 degrees to the left of the light and about 75 degrees above horizon was apparently smaller than the first and was intensely red. A third light was to the right of the first and about 65 degrees above the horizon. Each was larger than any star or planet. Possible planets. PD

I was driving south on Hwy. 93 between Whitefish and Kalispell. To my left (east) I saw a green light. It was either circular, or flat on the bottom to make a thimble shape. There was no trail on the light. It flew horizontally across the sky then dropped down below the tree-line. It was going too fast to be an airplane, and the light was also much larger than what would be found on an airplane. It could not have been a meteor because it was going horizontally across the sky, and switched to go down at about a 45 degree angle, and it was too close to the earth to be a meteor. It was not the Northern Lights because there was just this one moving light. There is an airport and military base in the area. It followed a flight path like I'd imagine a missile might.

From the west benches, we saw 6 lights high above the Salt Lake Valley in a large formation, moving north from at least 5400 S. They were all slowly descending, and when we made it home, we were able to watch the last two land into the city lights and disappear. One near the Salt Lake International Airport and the other in South Salt Lake. Were they helicopters? Drones? I can't find any information about them.

There were 3 balls of light floating in the sky in the distance. Their colors were alternating quickly between white and red. They would fade out then appear quickly in the same position.

I saw a stationary star-like object in the SSE sky that completely turned on and off at regular intervals like an airplane light. While it was visible, it twinkled like a star would do before fading to a yellowish hue and disappearing while still flashing. It was of similar color to Sirius but not quite as bright and was about 25 or 30 degrees above the horizon. It looked exactly like what a star would look like if somebody were turning it on and off like a light bulb once per second. Airplane lights aren't this bright and don't twinkle like a star. Sirius rose an hour later. Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD

We were outside looking at the moon with our telescope. After that, I noticed A green light. I thought it was a plane but realized it was changing from solid green to white strobes. After it got closer I observed a few green squares next to each other In a rectangular cluster for about 30 SEC then change to white strobes dots in same formation, the strobe speed was fast to many to count in a sec. The lights did not look like airplane light it was very brilliant also it was moving way too fast to be aircraft that are regulareally seen here. Once I noticed this thing was not right it was almost overhead heading south then did a 90 degree turn west. We flipped out and could not stop watching it and yelling holy crap did you see that. We watched it for about 5 minutes, until it went out of sight.

Driving south along I-43, saw bright green light descending toward earth. Appeared to be a firework at first, but it traveled pretty quick downwards at a 45 degree angle, light vanished, but appeared to be something in the sky after the light was gone. Was no more than couple hundred feet in the air. Was not a firework because fireworks blow up, create multiple lights, and do not travel at a 45 degree angle. They travel in an arc and eventually die out. This had the same brightness throughout till the light vanished. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD
