I was hanging out with my husband and some good friends in a yard around a fire pit around 9:25pm Pacific Standard Time. We were all talking and laughing, and all of a sudden a bright round object caught my eye as I was gazing West along the horizon. It appeared to be a “ball” or point of bright glimmering light, and it flickered different colors: red, white, blue, and maybe green. It was visible just above a stand of trees obscuring the horizon, and was in a solid position in relation to an electrical pole and wire, so we could all judge its lack of movement. It appeared to not move, and just hover in one spot in the sky for close to one hour. It did move very slowly over the course of this hour, however. The only reason we could perceive this was because of the electrical wire, and its position around it. But as I said, the movement was so slow that it wasn’t perceivable otherwise. It was quite far away - I cannot guess how many miles or kilometers, but it was so far away that we got out the binoculars to get a better look at it. It was very difficult to focus on (just from the unsteadiness of our arms holding up the binoculars) but from the best of my knowledge it just appeared to be a ball, or point of light. It continued to flicker different colors, and was very beautiful to look at. Towards the end of the hour, it seemed to recede and the flicker faded as well. It very slowly got further and further away, as well as closer to the horizon (and trees that were blocking our view). It finally moved behind a tree, and we could no longer see it. This object was seen by about five of my friends, and me. We talked about it all night.

My wife, 2 kids, and I all saw multiple points of light, mostly stationary, but turning on and off in a random pattern. First 1-2, then up to 6 or 7, then back to 2, then none. About 5 minutes later several would reappear. They all had an orangeish color, unlike stars. They appeared off the eastern coast of Folly Beach, SC.

i saw a bright ball of light headed toward the GR airport. i thought it was a plane but i didnt see the normal flashing lights that a plane has...it was moving at at least the same speed as an airplane.. but it was like a bright start, a fairly big one like the north star. it moved downwards in direction <sort of on an angle> almost like it was gonna land in the area of theairport but then the light just went out..i moved to see if maybe it was because it went behind a tree but no, the light just cut out and it was gone..moments later form a different direction i see an airplane going across the sky..this was nice b/c it gave me something to compare this bright star-like object to..1st. the airplane was much smaller and less bright 2nd. the airplane had the usual flashing lights 3rd. it seemed further away but i just think it was smaller with smaller lights and thats why it seemed further away or maybe it was..i dont know for sure..the bright object de! finitely seemed like it was at a lower altitude though.. very neat..my 2nd sighting ever!

A pair of sparkling orange lights, silently hovered and slowly moved over us. As I walked around the corner, I lost visibility for 10 seconds. When I saw them again, I saw one vanish in superspeed away in the night sky. The other, still hovering and moving slowly above the area stayed around. Got in my car and the light was still hovering the neighborhood as I drove off. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

[GEIPAN classification A — Sirius]

I was taking my dog out to the bathroom and I looked up at the sky and saw two things circling each other going across the sky over my head. They each had a bright red and dark blue light on each "craft". They kept circling each other until they were out of sight. They were very high up in the sky. One night my family and I were watching the international space station fly over. About ten minutes after it had passed, I looked up to see what looked like stars flying around in erratic directions. I pointed it out, and one by one, we all saw them. It started out to be two, but then more came and they appeared to be almost chasing each other and playing around. It wasn't debris from the space station because of the erratic motions and speed, and it wasn't bugs because the star like lights would fly behind clouds and comeback out the other side. We watched for several minutes as they chased, darted, fly across the sky then stop and fly the opposite directions. Towards the end of it there were almost two dozen but they all emerged into one light the size of the North Star and then fizzled out like smoke. We called are local news channel to report it, but they pretty much called us nuts and told us to record it, but our video camera had been chewed up by our dog and the lights were too small to zoom in on. I'm not a big UFO believer but I don't know what it was. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) This is not a hoaxed report, I am just not sure if the date. I believe it was August of 2006 but I am not sure ((END ADDENDUM)) Witness does not indicate a date of the alleged sighting. We have assigned an arbitrary date. Possible hoax?? PD

We saw what I thought were the lights of a plane at first, but they didn't move from the sky. Could see it from several places in town. Flickering lights in sequence like it was a plane, but did not move. We suspect that the witness may have been looking at a celestial body, either a star, or a planet? PD

Thought it was a planet or bright star, then realized it was in motion. Heading west to east extremely bright light in sky. In the sky southeast of Potsdam appeared an orange light that would disappear and reappear (think like a steady 3 to 4 second pulse) in the sky. As it reappeared each time, it was appearing the same distance apart. The movement was not natural or aerodynamically explained (definitely not a plane or helicopter). I pulled over to get a better look and it stopped. Drove home from that point (about 4 minutes) and had 2nd witness outside meeting me. Upon looking South it started again then stopped again for about 30 seconds. No further sighting after that. Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD

Sitting in the back of my truck around 1am looking at the stars when my friend and I saw a bright (white) light that continued to get brighter and larger. The light continued to get brighter for about 30 seconds to a minute until it disappeared. The light did not move and it was stationary.

I was staring out my front window to the north, and a light appeared in the sky, brighter than any star I've seen, and it was flashing blue and green and red, rapidly changing colours. I thought it might be a planet, or a satellite maybe, but it was moving in weird patterns. It would move to the left, and then to the right, and then up. It continued this pattern for a couple of minutes. I'd like to note that this is nothing new. I have seen this light in the sky before, and have watched it a couple of times for hours. It's what it did next that alarmed me. The light got really bright, and then something shot off it to the west very quickly and out of sight. Then a couple of seconds later, another light shot off of it straight up. The original light then blinked out, and reappeared about two seconds later across the sky, before slowly moving to the north and out of sight. We spoke via telephone with the witness, and she sounded to us to be quite serious minded. We suspect that the report is an accurate rendition of what she had seen. PD

me and a few friends were hanging out and for some strange reason i decided to look up and i noticed a strange alignment of lights some were shifting very slightly left to right (you really had to focus to notice movement) about 3 of those lights looked as if they were changing color from white to redish orange then slightly blue, then shortly after we saw 2 different aircrafts, the first was strange it was definately not a plane or helicopter and its was shooting straight up and at a fast rate (approximately 4x faster than a regualar plane and it left a light trail of white smoke ) then shortly after approximately 5 min after we saw a different aircraft wich looked more familiar than the first aircraft. The second looked like a helicopter of some sort and it was in the same area without movement for about 3 min then started flying away regularly (it was as if it was looking for the strange ufo me and my friends saw ) DEFFINATELY NOT NORMAL! usually dont see too many stars in nyc if you live here you know what i mean but last night the sky seemed to be lit up with them i will be observing again tonight and if anything is seen will deffinately record and post it up

Was walking my dog and looked straight up in the sky at a bright star, directly overhead, which seemed strange because there is no bright star/planet in that spot. As I was thinking this, the light started to slowly move NE while the light slowly dimmed out without a sound. For some reason, witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD

Looked north out the window and saw a bright steady red light in the sky moving fast from east to west. Thought it was a helicopter but no noise. Ran to front of house to observe the light moving faster and in a blink of the eye disappeared quickly in the west. My wife came to the front and saw the light. The light was a extremely bright leaving no trail of smoke. The height of the light seemed high in the sky. The light passed directly over Mt. Carmel, Il.

I walked out the back door of my house onto the sidewalk that leads to the garage behind my house. It is not a long walk, probably about 20-30 meters from door to door. I was looking south toward the moon when all of a sudden I seen this very bright circular light in the sky. I regrettably had left my phone in the house so I couldn't snap any pictures or take a video of it. The light didn't move to far before it started to dim out and then just kind of disappeared. I stood there for a couple minutes after I had seen it just to make sure it didn't come back, but did not see anything. It was only visible for about 20 seconds before fading out. I've never seen anything like this before in my life and it was silent. I heard nothing that resembled the sound of a jet/plane or any kind of helicopter so I know that it wasn't any kind of plane flashers or a spotlight of any kind.

While driving down main Street I observed 2 long green lights in the sky out my driver's window. The lights seemed to be parallel with one another and rectangular is shape. The lights would fade and them come back bright, they where moving slowly and in a small grid pattern, then would move to another part of the sky. The lights where in the the area of the big dipper.

We were camping on a levee Campground along the Atchafalaya River. 8 people ranging in age from 17 to mid 60s were gathered around the picnic table talking and relaxing. Sky was partly cloudy and was cool about mid 60s to high 50s. The 17 year old saw a strobing/flashing light in the sky behind cloud cover NNE direction. Object was stationary and had a random pattern of flashing...strobe, steady on to normal flashing to strobe. There was no set pattern. It reminded some of us of lightning without the lightning bolt. After a few minutes it began a steady glow then left to the North/West direction very rapidly. No noise was heard. A couple of us saw it through a friend's IR night scope and could see it was clearly behind the clouds. We thought at first we were witnessing a search type light, but no beam was seen. We tried to replicate it with flashlights but you could always see the beam of light going up to the clouds. I'd estimate it to be about 1 to 2 miles away. I've seen barges use their large lights to search ahead of them and this didn't match those. No city or town in the vicinity of the light. Unknown height off the ground as we were on a river levee and had trees below the normal horizon line.

My boyfriend and I were standing on the French King Bridge above the Connecticut River in Millers Falls, MA, around 8:30 p.m. on April 9th, 2016. It was a clear, cool night, and the only lights around were the streetlamps that lined the bridge and a few passing cars. There were no clouds in the sky, the moon was a waxing crescent, and we could see the stars clearly. My boyfriend was looking up when he pointed out a light that was moving slowly in the sky directly above us. It was the size and color (white) of a star, and had no distinct shape. It made no sound, left no visible trail, and was not blinking. Suddenly, the light moved back and forth erratically in a few different directions, and then shot off into the south sky at what can only be described as the speed of light. We viewed it for about a total of 15 seconds before it took off into the distant sky.

Another witness and I were sitting inside our house when I glanced out the window to see what I thought to be a pulsing star. I watched it for awhile, noticing that it would disappear and reappear. It also changed colors; ranging from blue, violet, white, to bright green. I told the other witness to come outside to see it clearer, and we saw it rotating counterclockwise then procede rotate clockwise. It then made very small and erratic movements, jolting from left to right and bouncing up and down. It was the other witness who pointed out that there was another one to the right of the main one. It was slightly smaller and less bright, located almost even with our house but still just as far as the main one. Two other popped out of seemingly nowhere to the left of the main one and flashed bright green and moved torward each other. This continued for 30 more minutes until they all slowly faded away.
