Laying down on lounge by the pool and looking at the mostly clear blue sky, I saw a white dot (could not identify shape) doing circles high above (it seemed to be at high altitude where planes navigate or higher). While trying to identify it (at first I assumed it was a bird, although the height was unusual), I saw two more dots appear from the blue sky (as if altitude was reduced, therefore making them visible to my eyes), also going in circular motion and then in undulated paths, then back to circles. As I was watching the 3 dots, more began appearing, as if materializing in the blue sky. The amount kept increasing rapidly, and I began counting them. When the count got to 20, I noticed more dots were already appearing high in the sky, in in what I estimate twice the amount I had counted or more. I estimate between 60 and 80 dots flying in circles, and then I assumed they were drones. Most of the dots were visible for about a minute, leaving about 7 that kept doing circles and undulated paths for about 4 minutes. As I tried to identify what they were, they began fading in the blue sky as if their altitude was increasing and my eyes slowly lost them in the blue. At the end of the sighting, I saw an airplane passing and it seemed to go underneath the altitude of the dots, I also saw some birds at much lower altitude, which is when I decided they could not be either planes or birds. They did not take off from the ground nor did they land: They appeared from the blue sky and vanished in the blue sky, which led me to think they were not commercial drones. I look at the sky daily t clear my mind, and it's the only time I have seen a phenomena like this. If they were drones, I would certainly like to know which kind flies so high, to the point of giving the illusion that they come from high in the atmosphere and go back to it, as if leaving away towards the space. When they began disappearing, I followed just one (the total amount was overwhelming to my eyes and very hard to follow) to see where they were headed, but it simply became smaller and smaller in the blue sky. Sometimes they circled at slow speed, which made me think initially of birds. But they would accelerate suddenly to which seem like faster than an airplane. One more person was with me and saw them as well, without being able to identify their nature. I took video, however my phone captured mostly blue sky, and two blurry dots, so something is visible in the images yet very blurry (I assume because of the altitude at which they flew) and the images don't give an idea of what are the blurry white dots in the sky.

Object looks like a light from a distance, when observed through binoculars object is moving eracticly, very fast. Object hovers. Planes don't hover, stars don't hover and satellites don't move eracticly. Many people have witnessed this, have viewed it through binoculars and can't tell what it is. I see this object every night, it follows me wherever I go. [NUFORC annotation: Planet/Star - Probable]

Was walking my dogs. Probably 48 degrees F. Not a sound except crickets. Out in the country near massive solar fields. Held my arm up to capture top of cornfield with fog and took the picture. Got home and noticed a black ‘dot’ on photo from I-phone. The image was a ‘live’ image so I touched the screen to see if I could tell what the black dot was and surprised to see how fast it moved across the screen. Super, super fast. No sound. I was facing south at first when I noticed a bright green light in the sky to the west of me and I started to watch it when it started to flash the green light and started to fly away further and higher when it disappeared then all of a sudden at the original spot a bright red light was there hovering then flashing then started to move behind some clouds and disappeared again before it showed back up and started to descend before it just disappeared out of sight. I can’t tell the shape of it but I do have video and one picture. Also I called out to my dad and he seen the same thing. This was few miles to the west of my location

There are two very bright objects in the sky. Due to the large size of the light they seem rather near, however, one cannot tell how near or far they are. They do not move. When the sun rises they are no longer visible. These are not stars. The object is a light so i did not check any characteristics below. [NUFORC annotation: Planet/Star - Possible]

Mukilteo, WA

I was inside the Mukilteo ferry terminal when I saw a dark object moving North over South Whidbey Island. That is about 3.5 miles from where I was. It was probably 500 to 800 ft above the Island. After watching it for a few seconds I could see that it was not an airplane. There were no wings or tail and it appeared to be tumbling as it moved forward. I alerted a young lady that was there and she snapped these shots. At that point it had made an arcing turn to NE and was about over Hat Island when took them. Unfortunately when you zoom in they get blurry. It then continued in the direction of the Tulalip reservation and disappeared. [NUFORC annotation: Balloon - Possible]

My dog was walking through the yard. Then stopped and looked around. Not a usual thing he would do. After a couple of seconds of looking around, he looked up when a beam of a lighter blue light struck him. The light was visible for a second or two. Then he ran inside once the light flashed on him. I did not hear a noise or anything from the sky. Once my dog came back in, I tried to get him to go back out but he wouldn’t go into the yard.

I am a security guard at a dam with 8 years of time served in the U.S. Army. I’m an E-6 in the Army Reserve who holds a secret clearance. Witness 2 is a lieutenant at the dam. At precisely 307 AM, I was traveling by vehicle across the dam. I observed a light to the north which was of equal brightness to the North Star. I exited the vehicle at the center of the dam and noticed that two more lights had appeared above and below the original “star”. None of the lights were moving. The lights then faded and reappeared at different times, not synchronized with each other. I then finished crossing to the East side of the dam where I contacted my lieutenant and we looked together. During this time, with our bare eyes we witnessed some lights get bright then fade and some began to move, some in groups some as individuals. Some would disappear while moving, some would stop and remain lit before fading. This is when we decided they were not satellites seeing as how their movements did not match that of a satellite. At this point there were approximately 6 lights we could actively see. My lieutenant brought night vision lenses and through these we were able to observe many more lights that were not visible to our bare eyes. It’s important to note that throughout the duration or this, we thought some were simply just stars until they began moving and we realized how many there actually were. It seemed the longer we observed, the more we noticed. The lights seemed to like groups of triangles that were more obtuse and not perfect triangles. There were about 6 or 7 groups of triangles. They also sat in groups of 4 but not in perfect squares. I only observed 2 groups of 4. I viewed two that appeared to drop something at a great speed. The dropped “objects” would have looked like “shooting stars” had they not come directly from the moving lights. While moving the dropped “objects” would rapidly light up and disappear at a much greater speed than the other lights. Both my lieutenant and I both viewed one light that was bright like the others and slow moving but seemed to have an orb or beginning of some tail around it as if it were entering the atmosphere and meeting with extreme heat. This seemed like just a light to the naked eye but using night vision you could see the orb around it. My lieutenant left me the night vision and returned to his duties at this point and I then used my phone to record through night vision. I have approximately 16 total minutes of footage through the night vision. I am aware that some moving lights observed may be satellites, but many were not. Having irregular movements. These lights were observed north but stretched from East to West. Most appeared in the East but that is mostly where I was observing since that was the original area I had seen the lights. I have video of multiple going from still to moving, gaining brightness and fading and one that appeared to drop something. This anomaly continued until the Sun appeared and there was nothing visible in the sky once this happened.

So, this isn't the most exciting story but I thought it was a cool experience and I have no idea what this could have been besides a UFO. I was walking my dog in my neighborhood, it was dark out and apart from a handful of small clouds it was a clear night so I was looking up often to check out the stars. At one of the times I was looking up I saw 2 lights that were high up and close together (like almost an inch apart if I held up my arm and measured with a ruler), but they were far away so I'm not sure how far apart they actually were. The front one was bright and almost looked like a star but a bit bigger, the second was also bright like a bigger star but had a light glow circle around it (about 1/4 inch diameter, if I held out a ruler at arms length and measured). Like a circle of glowing light with a brighter center dot. But it wasn't super bright, if I didn't happen to look up right where they were I wouldn't have seen them. I think the first circle might have also had a glow circle around it but much lighter than the second one. But I can't be sure, it happened so fast. They appeared to be much lower than an airplane (which I saw many of that night) and they moved very, very fast. I saw them when I looked straight up and within 5 seconds they had moved across the sky and out of sight. There was no sound at all, so it couldn't have been a low flying airplane or helicopter. They were much bigger and way faster than any satellite I've seen. They moved very fast and smoothly, it looked almost like the 2 lights were either chasing each other or were attached to something pretty big but I didn't notice a shadow or shape around the lights. The lights didn't blink and stayed the same size and brightness. I'm colourblind though so I cant speak to what colour the were or if it changed colour. I can't think of anything known that it could gave been. I don't need to be contacted by an investigator but it would be cool to find out what it was or if anyone has seen anything like this before.

On September 17, 2023, at about 8:11pm, my wife and myself were in our backyard when we observed two lights flying above us heading southward. We can normally hear aircraft when they fly over. These crafts were silent. As we watched the crafts we observed them increase altitude and disappear in the cloud cover. The lights were warm in color and didn't resemble the cooler wing lights of conventional aircrafts. The crafts we observed also didn't have red and green flashing lights. About 3 minutes later we observed two more crafts that appeared to follow the same flight plan as the first two. And then another minute later a fifth craft was observed. During each sighting I checked my FlightAware app and confirmed that no aircrafts were in the immediate area.

I don’t know how to explain it I just know I was scared and thought of calling the police then I realized the police takes over 45 minutes to get to my home cause I’m on the border line of two counties and they might’ve thought I was crazy if I didn’t have proof so I recorded and took pictures as I always do. I saw these orbs look like it was in a triangle form and a being above it that looked like some sort of insect or praying mantis with two glowing lights on the face but it didn’t have a face and it looked like it was holding something.

I noticed a light in the sky. I didn’t think anything seemed out of the ordinary because I was near the Lubbock airport. However, then I noticed the light was not moving, where as a plane would. So I started to pay closer attention. I then noticed the flash pattern and colors weren’t the typical pattern and colors of the planes I’m used to seeing. It also dawned on me that it’s 4 in the morning and the Lubbock airport doesn’t have commercial flights arriving or departing from about 1 am till almost 6 am. At this point I’m really curious, and I also notice, what seems to be two more lights flashing in the sky. So I started recording. My best guess is weather balloons or drones. However, I would like to report and if possible find out the logical explanation for these lights. In total there seemed to be three objects and they were flashing red and yellow/orange. I could not make out a distinguishable shape because it was night time. https://youtu.be/LYPZbkmeJd4?si=bBoOnin8ZW7SSTK1 [NUFORC annotation: Drone - Possible]

I was about to sleep. Because my apartment is on high floor (28th) it is common to see planes flying. When I noticed this object, my first thought was that it is a star. But then I realized that it was cloudy, and this was quite big for a star. Also there were no stars on the sky (since it was cloudy.) I wasn’t going to give it much attention but then I noticed that this object had slight movement (perhaps rotation) without changing its position. I do not know how long it was there but it was long because I fell asleep. At the next day I noticed a similar object at around 10pm. [NUFORC annotation: Planet/Star - Probable]

Hinckley, IL

At approximately 1:55 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, I decided to head off to bed after watching television. I am a night owl, so it is normal for me to be wide awake late into the evening and early morning hours. Upon laying down and looking directly out an open west window one foot away from the bed, I noticed an unknown object with intense bright blue light surrounding it flying erratically using sudden darting movements high in the sky west of Hinckley. I immediately got out of bed and watched it maneuver for the next 15 minutes. I couldn't take my eyes off of it. The most stunning movement was how it literally appeared to fall or drop from the sky at blinding speed. But then it then came to a complete stop and remained in one place. It darted back up into the sky, and in general continued to dart at will around the sky west of Hinckley. Occasionally, the object would completely disappear and then suddenly reappear a few seconds later. The night was clear with no clouds, so there was nothing to obscure the object from visibility. The next thing that occurred was simply amazing! As it started to move east across Hinckley on the north side of town, the object suddenly became TWO unknown objects, each surrounded with bright blue light. Together, in absolutely precise tandem, they flew to the east at high speed. In order to continue watching, I had to quickly run from the west side of the house to the east side. When I arrived on the deck on the east side of the house, the two objects had either blended back into one, or one of them had left the area. The remaining blue object then flew out of sight south of Hinckley. Absolutely stunned by the unbelievable sharp turns it would make at high speed, I continued to remain on the deck waiting to see if it might return. And it did! It flew back from the south where it had previously gone and proceeded further east. I did not see it again although I continued to monitor the sky for quite some time after. I'll do my best to try to describe the speed at which this object moved. Imagine using your finger to point up into the sky on the west side of Hinckley. Then quickly swing your finger all the way to the east side of Hinckley. In about one second the object moved across the Hinckley sky before coming to a complete stop, changing direction, and flying off again. When it suddenly dropped from the sky at the beginning of the sighting, it happened so quickly that I thought it was going to hit the ground. But no, it simply stopped mid-air before it decided to dart off into another direction. The objects were incredibly easy to see in the sky due to the intensity of the blue light surrounding each of them. For as high into the sky as they were, they must have been fairly large objects to be seen so easily from my location on the ground. I thought about alerting the local police of the sighting, but I simply didn't want to take my eyes away from what I was viewing as I may never see something like this again in my lifetime. And since I imagine a sighting such as this would be perceived as unbelievable, I decided to report what I saw on this website instead. I have never reported, nor experienced, anything such as this ever before.

While driving west on Lynn Rd I noticed what I originally thought was a meteor. It appeared to be something falling with a tail lit up behind it. I also noticed 2 small objects to the right of the falling object. I thought they were small planes watching from a safe distance what was happening. They were just lights or light reflecting from the sun off of them. Instantly one of the small lights disappeared, and then the other did as well. The falling object made a steep change towards the opposite direction and continued to fall. I watched as I turned north on Leesville Rd until the trees obstructed my view. I took a picture on my phone of the falling object from my car. The object appears just above the lower trees on the left. You have to zoom in to see it. It looks like a fuzzy streak and that distance. [NUFORC annotation: Contrail - Possible]

The craft was first noticed by one of the people I was with. We had driven to a state park I forgot the name of. It was something along the lines of “fairy beach” or “fairy road”. “Fairy beach” could have been the name of the beach we were on when we saw it. When I first saw it I thought it was a plane or a kite or maybe a balloon, however, it wasn’t making any noise and it was rotating the opposite direction of me and to my 11 o’clock (end over end and side over side), aka front left. It was rotating quite slowly and it was a shiny silver chrome color. Light seemed to be reflecting off of it but the light didn’t extend beyond the border of the object itself. The light was constant without even a slight flicker or pulse. I looked away to ask if someone could take a picture of it and when I did it caused them to look away too. We didn’t get a picture because one of their phones had died and the other had a broken camera. That, I believe, is why none of us saw it disappear until it was gone which I pointed out to the others. The entire time the craft made no noise and I trust that we wouldn’t have seen it if one of the others hadn’t looked that direction for 30 seconds longer. I don’t think it could have been much more than one thousand feet in the air.

I was walking from my car to my house. It was a clear night and the stars could be seen clearly. I suddenly saw a string of lights that I've never seen before. I thought to myself, "what constellation is that??". I stared at it trying to figure out what it could be, but didn't think it was a plane, drones, or anything similar. The string of lights weren't moving and there wasn't any noise of an aircraft nearby. I was walking while looking at them, but looked away for maybe 3 seconds to see where I was going (almost walked into a car). When I looked back up, the string of lights was gone. I looked around to see if they'd moved, but did not see them. I'd say there were about 10 lights in the formation. I realize that perhaps what I saw was a Starlink satellite after reviewing the pictures/videos on your website. However, the lights I saw weren't blurry, they weren't moving, they weren't spaced out that wide, and the string of lights wasn't that long. In one of the videos of the Starlink, I saw that they just move across the sky, but the ones I saw did not. They just vanished when I looked back up. None of the lights I saw were blinking, there wasn't any haze around them, and they didn't change color. They were white, but noticed that one did have a little red, which made me think it was an aircraft at first. What caught me off guard was how quick they disappeared. I was so caught up on trying to figure out what the object(s) were, that I didn't even think of taking a picture or video. This morning as I was leaving for work, I looked at the direction of where I saw the lights just to make sure there weren't any power lines that I might have forgotten were there, but there weren't. I apologize in advance if you believe I saw a satellite, but I honestly don't think it was. [NUFORC annotation: Starlink - Probable]
