Le 02 novembre 1971 aux alentours de 19h10 et 19h40, le témoin (alors âgé de 6 ans et demi) rentre chez ses parents après un entraînement sportif. Il est alerté par un camarade de la présence d'un objet dans le ciel. Intrigué le témoin observe un objet circulaire de la forme d'une "soucoupe" avec deux rangées de hublots. Cet objet semble tourner sur lui-même en se déplaçant à faible altitude sans faire de bruit. L'objet est à la verticale de la rue que le témoin doit emprunter pour rentrer chez lui. Mais arrivé à un carrefour l'enfant quitte le PAN des yeux : le PAN continue sa route en ligne droite. Arrivé chez lui, malheureusement l'enfant ne reverra plus l'objet dans le ciel. Un seul témoignage sera recueilli (voir le compte rendu d'enquête). L'hypothèse d'un ballon perdu correspondrait en grande partie (trajectoire rectiligne, silence, altitude peu élevée, durée de l'observation...) mais ne peut être validée les recherches n'ayant pas permis de trouver un ballon présentant les caractéristiques décrites par le témoin (hublots, couleur, taille...). Le changement de couleur noté en fin d'observation est également un élément affaiblissant cette hypothèse. Le témoignage, riche en détails est surprenant au vu du jeune âge du témoin. Un seul des deux témoins connus a témoigné auprès du GEIPAN et a été entendu. La consistance est ici entachée par le grand délai après l’observation (45 ans) pouvant altérer le souvenir et aussi par l'enregistrement d'un seul des deux témoins. La consistance est trop faible pour valider le caractère étrange et inexpliqué de l’observation. Il n’est par exemple pas possible de vérifier certaines informations importantes et il n’est pas possible d’écarter avec des indices forts la piste d'un possible ballon d'enfant perdu. En conséquence le GEIPAN classe en le cas en C : témoignage tardif inexploitable par manque d’informations fiables [GEIPAN classification C — Manque d'informations fiables]
