4 brownish lights was moving south to north directly overhead. The lights were not moving symmetrically & seemed to rolling over one another. Lasted about 30 seconds before disappeared. Appeared to be low altitude due to the observed speed. There was no sound.

At approximately 8:05 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, 2 of us saw a bright white light slowly going across the night sky. The white light was not blinking and had a red light behind it, which also was not blinking. We were looking to the south and we spotted it about half way across the sky going from West to East. After almost reaching across the sky, the light dimmed and then disappeared out of the sky. It did not go past the horizon, it disappeared completely in the air. Wondering if maybe it is just a satellite… or something else. International Space Station overflight. PD

[GEIPAN classification A — Oiseau]

I was driving north on US 41 in Sarasota at around 8:30pm, when I spotted a bright white light low in the sky at my 10 o’clock position that did not appear not to be moving. This put it over Sarasota Bay or the Gulf of Mexico, depending on the distance it was from me. Much too large to be a star, my first impression was it was a low flying aircraft like when you see the landing lights of a commercial jet on approach coming towards you, it will give the appearance of it hovering. The light in color was a bright silvery white not a yellowish white. I figured it was a large military jet out of MacDill AFB, since commercial traffic to Sarasota/ Bradenton Airport do not come from this direction. I continued to watch it as best I could while I was driving as it really had my attention. The sky was dark over the western horizon but not black, more of a violet hue as the sun had not been down too long. I bring this up because as I continued to watch it I could actually make out a black shape behind the light, I have to say I wasn’t sure what I was looking at. I rolled my window down and turned off my radio to see if I could hear an aircraft or helicopter, since I felt the object was close enough that I would be able to hear it. There was no noise. Another thing that entered my mind was it might be a blimp or balloon, maybe some kind of promotional thing positioned over the water. All these thoughts ran through my head very quickly, maybe 15-30 seconds. As I continued to drive I would lose sight of it for a few seconds from time to time because of its low angle in the sky where buildings and trees started to obstruct my view. I thought about pulling over but there was really no place that would give me a better view. Anyone on the bay or waterfront would have had a perfect, unobstructed view. After losing sight of the object/ light for a short time, it appeared still to my left ahead of me but much closer and now at a higher angle so much so I had to peer out my driver’s window to get a good view. I was still driving North and it was clear the object/ light was indeed moving and traveling due East. It crossed over the highway slightly in front of me, almost directly over me, where I lost sight of it temporally before I could again see it from my passenger window to my right. It continued to travel East at the same low attitude over what is a residential area. I want to point out from the time it passed over me and flew off to the East, I was only seeing the light and not the black object attached to it because that part of the sky was too dark. Suddenly another identical light appeared to the right of it very close and level. They were close enough for me to consider both lights were attached to the same object but it had to be huge. I don’t think a KC-135 a! t 500 feet would appear that large. At the low altitude it appeared to be traveling, it was just going too slow for any jet to stay airborne. Again, I heard no sound and saw no red and green navigation lights during the whole sighting. The two white lights became very low on the horizon as they seemed to continue to travel off to the East and I eventually lost sight of them as I continued to drive North. I’m at a loss of what I could have seen. There is another sighting with a similar description that was submitted to this website that took place on the same night and time but in a town 80 miles northeast of Sarasota, Florida. My time of 8:30 is only an approximation and could have been a little before or after. Thank you for taking the time to read my report, I hope it is of some interest to you.

There was raucous thunder, and I didn't think anything of it at first, until the sound went away and came back. Then I got worried. I looked out my bedroom window and two crafts were zooming through the sky. They were each formed by two lights: red and yellow. It was a constant light, not blinking or flashing like you see on normal planes. I thought at first a plane was crashing. One craft looked like it was falling rapidly in the air, but then another circled it--not touching, just around it--and then they soared off. This was quick. I reached for my phone to make a video, but it was over in seconds! From when it first woke me, to when they flew off, I'd say it lasted 3 minutes tops.

I was walking to work, walking south to North, the big Dipper was at my 11 o'clock if my walking path was at 12, between and slightly in front of the stars merak and dubhe of the big Dipper constellation 2 very bright yellowish lights appeared, I had just happened to be looking to my left to check for traffic when I saw them appear, one was in front of the other and had the same brightness, they were separated by maybe 2 inches in my field of view from the ground, neither light moved or pulsated, they stayed constantly bright for maybe 30 seconds then both slowly faded away, the sky was cloudless as I could see the big Dipper fully and closer stars around it, these lights were very bright almost resembling a planes landing lights if looked at from head on, but again like I said they did not move, it was hard to tell the altitude, the size of the lights was maybe half the size of a full moon, it was very cool to see and a great way to start my day, if anyone el! se was looking up at the sky at that time in that direction these lights could not be missed, I've never seen anything like that before.

My house is facing Silver Lake in Berlin for the past 6 months I'm seeing a light in the sky is steady it can be like that for days or few hours and it just goes away I'm just wondering if anyone else had a experience of this. One of the examples this was bothering me for hours so I decided to show my husband by the time I dragged him to see it the light was no where to see it for long time he was telling me it's a star till I proved him wrong that all the other stars are there where is the closest light that we saw. This goes on for days sometimes it's not there at all Source of the report elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

I went outside to see if the sky was clear enough to do some observing with my telescope. I looked to the south & saw what I thought were 2 stars, when the lower one changed color from white to orange/red, when it began to move upwards in the direction of the top star (which I later identified as Sirius). As it moved closer to Sirius, it started to dim, until it went out altogether.

Hovering light in distant sky south of Forest Grove, OR. This is the 3rd occurence I have observed early in the morning (usually around 3am) object meanders about lazily left & right for a good amount of time. It is very well lit for its size. Previous sighting included a smaller object directly below with flashing red/green markers. Object was doing a good job maintaining a position (6 hundred+ est. feet) below the larger lit object. If brightly lit object moved, then the green/red object would too as if on a long string hanging far below. Whatever it is it seems as if this is a regular occurence. Happy hunting Source of the report elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

Looking up at the stars towards the constellation cancer when we witnessed a bright flash of light. Thinking it was just a meteor entering the atmosphere is didn't think anything of it. Until we witnessed it's journey across the sky, making periods of white flashes almost like a beacon. Object moved towards constipation ((sic. constellation?)) puppis. Object looked at one point to curve in the sky.

This has been going on during spring and summer months for two years. Large, quiet, pulsating lights east and west usually. They move slowly into place then stop. I live in rural area surrounded by nature. Nights the lights are here you can hear a pin drop with only domestic dogs barking, and I mean all barking. We have large coyote population which makes for loud nights. When lights are in the sky, they do no make a sound. EVER. Early February I was playing fetch with my dog at sunset. Within minutes of darkness, here they come again, only they were followed by airplanes I could hear. Flying in circles over four towns.I watched as the pulsating light lashed so bright I covered my eyes, my dog ran in the house I was frozen. Then a small airplane buzzed over me so close I could have seen pilot in daylight. Small plane with no landing gear (not a crop duster) It was dark in color smooth underneath sounded jet like? The lights in sky disappeared until last night. They are back and I wish they would go somewhere else.

When looking to the west of Kansas City. Viewing stars on a clear night sky. A fast moving light caught my eye. coming from the east headed west. Appeared to turn, or bank right, and faded out of sight. Sighting lasted 2 to 3 seconds. Bright white in color, and would estimate it to be traveling at a elevation of at least 60,000 ft. or higher. Then about 7 seconds later. Coming from east again, headed west. I see three bright lights moving fast. Headed in the same direction as the first object. Two in front were side by side, with the third following behind the front one on the right. Sighting of those three lasted for about 2 to 3 seconds. Estimated elevation of 60,000 ft. Moving to fast to be satellites. Source of the report elects to remain totally anonymous; provides little contact information. PD
